Default Question about LOA and Weight Loss

Just a thought, could the stack of "how to lose weight" books on my bookshelf be the reason that I'm still having trouble losing weight?

Perhaps keeping those books (which, no doubt I have learnt a lot from) is affirming to the Universe that I am still "struggling" to lose weight and there is the constant need to lose weight in my life instead of believing that I am already at my ideal weight.

I think I might make a trip down to my local charity store!

AHH! I had the same ideas!! I always look up "how to" and "I always have trouble with" manifesting posts, so am I sending out the vibe that I can't do this stuff?

Well I've stopped looking at them with the intention of learning and more so with the intention of helping. I certainly feel better so far...

I have and old mirror I have turned into a blackboard, when it broke, on which I write my mantra, affirmation... intention...manifestation call it what you want.

3 years ago I wrote: "In a healthy, easy and quick way I am 68 kg (97kg at the time) (in pounds I wanted to be 150 and was 214) enjoying my slim fit body, feeling full and satisfied with all the good food I eat."

I read this every time I saw the board at first. Then I started repeating it in my head all the time. Finally I could see myself slim fit and satisfied. It took about 4 weeks before anything happened.

After that month I went to a nutritionist I knew about 2 years prior to this "exercise". And I lost the pounds in 6 months and still am at my dream weight. When ever I slip I just do my thing again. But today I never let is slip more than 2-3 kg.

The thing is that I wasn't ready for the nutritionist before I programed myself. If I had gone before I would have fallen back to my old behavior. I tried so many thing before this as you did. So it does not hurt. Try it. Write your own "mantra" and repeat it like crazy.

You could also look into your beliefs about food. But that is the second phase.

Exactly! That is exactly why you are struggling with your weight. It is better to buy a book called 'How to become thin' then How to lose weight.

Look at people who are thin, surround yourself by things that indicate healthy body and when you eat affirm in your mind that food is your friend and you remain thin no matter what you eat.

If you think you've learned all you need to know from these books, then you might as well pass them on to someone else.

However, these books aren't necessarily causing you to struggle. If they were, we could apply this same line of reasoning to almost any problem. Asking a friend for advice would be "affirming to the universe" that you've still got a problem, reading a book on productivity would be "affirming to the universe" that you're not productive, and so on. In fact, it would be very hard for us to improve at all.

I'm pretty sure you could succeed at your goals with your "how to lose weight" books firmly stacked on your bookshelf. However, you know more about how you feel than I do, so at the end of the day you should go with your intuition. If you feel like these books are holding you back, go ahead and get rid of them, especially if you don't think they're useful anymore.

first of all, I want to congratulate you for your new thinking,
or to be more precise, for your new enlightenment,
Not so many people get to this point...

Secondly, I beleive we should try every self thought that a rise in ourself that gets our attention,

After you'll try it, you'll have the answer,

And last, I trully believe, and now, and can say that I know, we should focus all the time on the the things we want, only on the the things we want.

Cheers,
