Ready at long, long last to pull my life together. It has been too long and too dark. I have done much preliminary work to prepare myself. I didn't know it was preparation, I thought it was the work. My preparation has been two-fold: unearthing the origins of my deep, paralyzing psychic pain and identifying and opening up to the source of healing and abundance (developing faith). These two endeavors are ready to intersect or converge with powerful results. Oh, my heavens, I also forgot the 3rd ply of visualizing my desires - been doing that all along. Interestingly these visions have not waivered over the years even when nothing came to fruition. So the prepatory work has been done: 1) I have a collection of visions for many aspects of my life; 2) I have identified my blocks and the source; and 3) I have witnessed and experienced tapping into the source of abundance through the conduit of faith. My recent introduction to Tolle's concept of Pain Body has given me the final piece of the puzzle. Like Sysiphu, I have long been frustrated, confused and devastated by being drawn back into the miasma after making some progress. For so long, I have been chained like an elephant by a string, but when I looked at the string I saw a heavy chain. The following description of pain body is the light that reveals the mirage to me and now I can break its bond - tethered no more. from: The Pain Body by Eckhart Tolle ....The pain body wants to survive, just like every other entity in existance, and it can only survive if it gets you to unconsciously identify with it. It can then rise up, take you over, "become you," and live through you. It needs to get its "food" through you. It will feed on any experience that resonates with its own kind of energy, anything that creates further pain in whatever form: anger, destructiveness, hatred, grief, emotional drama, violence, and even illness. So the pain body, when it has taken you over, will create a situation in your life that refects back its own energy frequency for it to feed on. Pain can only feed on pain. Pain cannot feed on joy. It finds it quite indigestible. Once the pain body has taken you over, you want more pain. You become a victim or a perpetrator. You want to inflict pain, or you want to suffer pain, or both. ***** I commit to 30 days, twice daily meditation to guide me, sustain me and strengthen me through this transition and to nurture and empower this being that has escaped the grasp of painbody. I I started meditating daily, about a year and a half ago. Since then, life has improved immeasurably. I have learned how to avoid getting caught up in another's pain body, for one. That's a good one. Also, it's much easier to connect with other human's true selves, not their egos, I mean. This is a joy. So, I will be watching for you.... Good trick!

Strem2 - I am thrilled to have a meditation buddy. Keep me honest. Yesterday I only meditated once. Today I meditated a.m. and plan to sit again. I am noticing subtle understandings and shifts. Only time will tell. This meditation is in addition to using EFT and tapping on a Prosperity Affirmation and a prayer of power every day as well. I am also re-reading Immaculee Illibagaze's book "Left to Tell" which is pushing me, through her example, to let go of offenses given and offenses received. To sit in observation of "pain-body" while letting go of offenses taken I see is quite powerful. I expect some true release before the 30 days end. Thanks for this point, "it's much easier to connect with other human's true selves." I never thought of that - it makes sense. How extraordinary! |

Hey, can I crash this party? I want to get back into the routine of daily meditation and this is a great way to stay on track. I'm committing to : Getting up at 6am - no hitting the snooze button - then performing a Salute to the Sun, followed by 20 mins of TM meditation. Yay :-) |

There is room for all. The more the merrier. Post about your progress. I'm on day three. Getting insights. See how this is going to extricate me from my paralysis. I had a series of profound emotional traumas that took place over 2 years beginning in July of 2001. They knocked out the rickety, internal support system. The past 8 years have been a journey towards healing, learning what works and doesn't work along the way. This meditation period has started the process of allowing me to create space between me and my pain so that I can function without repressing or without retreating. Up until now I have been either repressing or retreating and thankful when I was functioning at all even if it meant repressing. To be able to be aware of pain but not sucked in by it is so exciting. To be able to function in spite of pain, to have freedom from retreating is really all I have hoped for and now I have stumbled on the means to do this. Even still - actually doing the meditation does not come easily. Sitting quietly means opening up to and experiencing full force the pain that has so overwhelmed me for so long. In spite of the knowledge and understanding that this will allow me to create space and not be wholly occupied by the pain does nothing to make it easier to start the process. I feel as though I am offering myself up for an excruciatingly painful medical treatment because the outcome will be worth it. I want the outcome but yet the procedure is immensely difficult to open up to. Glad to get that off my chest. |

Ok, I took my meditation tape with me and went for a walk in the misty rain with it. I found a tree, a great wide old something. May be an oak. It was comforting. I found a niche in the back side of the tree so I didn't hear the traffic, much. I did my hour and headed back to the body shop. I listen to Centerpointe Research's Holosync. It's a binaural beat system. Bill Harris says that meditation not only helps you think with both sides of your brain, but the binaural beats stresses your brain and makes it grow more synapses. This is the idea that stress on any biological system pushes it to kick up to a higher level that can handle the added stress. I say this to you WordKeeper, my meditation buddy, because what you go through now, will just move you to a whole new level. You will probably be communing with the angels on your meditations once the pain is over.... I wish we had a heart symbol.... I'll be pulling for you.....

I like the sound of the Holosync! I've been experimenting with using music along with my meditation - I'll definitely check this one out. Have you seen this vid? Vibration (Sound) Creates Form Last edited by SuperNova; 04-04-2009 at 04:13 AM. |

Good luck to you. I started my own trial some time ago... am about to abort it, I got what I needed, it may have actually been 30 days. I'm starting a new trial, I am actually switching my practice to the Daimoku (nam myoho renge kyo). I've had good results with all kinds of mantras, you keep doing any mantra you WILL break through, the vibrational principle - plus it's cheaper than buying vibration stuff online. |

The idea is pretty well explained by the literature they send along if you decide to try to sample CD. This is an honest sample. There is sales stuff, that is more of an explanation than a direction to buy, and they don't ask you for your credit card before they send the material. Here's the direct link to Centerpointe and Holosync. However, there's more information at this link. Just click on there ad once you're at this page. They have graphs of brain waves and so forth that will really explain the binaural beats.

I filled out a request for a sample yesterday. Interested in exploring it. Observations on re-entry to habit of meditation: 1) first 5 minutes difficult. I experience a build up of intense agitation. By 5 minute mark there is something that breaks through that and I feels a relaxation and moving into a more peaceful meditative state. 2) the space I create and can tap into during the day closes up if I am later in the day meditating. 3) in that space that opens up I have seen how this past wounding has effected my interactions and responses through out my life. Particular memories are popping up. 4) struggling to break that "retreat" habit in the evening. Haven't yet gotten the PM meditation in. Working towards that. |

I have trouble with evening meditations too. Actually, Holosync acts more as a sleep aid.... It puts me in theta, and most of the time, I'm gone. Perhaps that would be a blessing for you. Sleep is very healing. Speaking of "the space that opens up", just yesterday, a friend said something to me that so opened me up I felt like an opened can. And, this, I think, is the beauty of meditation. No matter how long you do it, there is always more to our internal life to discover. This totally changed the way I experience myself. This totally changed the way I judged my past. I hadn't realized that I was being so hard on myself.... Whatever kind of meditation you do, it is so worth it....
