Default Visualizing the right way: People and Mentors - How do I do this?

Hi Folks - first time poster - hope this is the right category for my question - so here goes:

I'm very into the law of attraction thing - I've seen too much evidence that it works for me, regardless of where it comes from - be it the "universe", "vibrations" or what-not ...or perhaps (if you're a hard bitten realist), the logic in it may manifest thru the actual visualizing in great detail ...which, perhaps, causes the extra bounce in your step and change of expression on your face - unbeknownst to you - but recognized by the rest of everyone you encounter - and thus, changes in your life follow-suit. Who knows? I just know it works...

...so anyhow - here's my question: I'm the type that visualizes for about 10-20 minutes before I go do sleep at night. I find it enjoyable and very easy on some things I want out of life (and thus those very goals seem to just show-up more times than not) ...BUT... very difficult to visualize on other things.

Why? Because - well - I just don't know quite how to actually visualize them - and I'd like to know how some of you find your way around this.

Let me explain, example-wise:

Easy: visualizing myself driving a specific model of car I want to have. Getting into the detail of that vehicle is simple because if I'm familiar with every aspect of, say, a Mercedes S-class. I can view that almost effortlessly in my mind (and if I'm not familair with that particular tangible item- then I can go to the Mercedes website online and look up the vehicle and all details of it, just as simply, and utilize those images for next time I visualize).

okay... now the hard part:

Hard: visualizing a mentor. How do I do this? I'm at a point in my life where I believe I have the skills necessary to really take a LOT to the next level ...and I know what would be ideal is a great mentor in my field.

...the bottom line with visualizing well-enough is to be absolutely CLEAR on what you want. Well, how can I be clear on the face and stature etc. of a person with whom I haven't met or have no idea about? (and this can apply to many people and intangibles really ...perhaps all the different gorgeous, hot women I want in my life too... while I can visualize their bodies, hair color etc., but not the face - but I don't want to get crude and perhaps p.o. people on the forum, so I'll leave that 'visualizing' in my head for now) ...

...I mean - to further elaborate - it seems counterproductive if I visualized, say, an actor who would fit the mold. Because the mentor could look completely different (same with the hot-chick thing ...if I put a specific face on my visualizing).

So my question to all of you that actually do visualizing is - what are some ways around this? What have you done that works best?

Hey - thanks much and I look forward to any and all responses

Take care,

CJ

I used to be the same as you, i used to get worried if i don't visualise properly and there not manifest. However i found that a combination of visualising, acting as if and then taking action upon it gets results rather than just visualising it. As for visualising, for example if i wanted a hot girl i just concentrate on how i would feel more than what she would look like if that makes sense. Try using visualisation boards or slide shows aswell, they seem to help people.

Thanks Mancs - and yup - the feeling thing does make sense ... kinda' cutting to the end game as opposed to getting hung-up on the means (If I'm understanding your meaning).

I can't really visualize. Well I've not been trying to manifest anything, but then read this post yesterday and so decided to start trying.

I can't visualize, though. I heard that the emotions are the most important part of it, so I just imagined the benefits and everything that would be included, and tried to get excited about it.

I did that for about 15 minutes before going to sleep, or well until I drifted off, so we'll see how that works.

Just saying, I don't think visualization is always necessary.

I have the same Issues. How do I improve my imagination to the point where I can Visualize something really exciting & grand if I don't really have it.

Claude Bristol says in "the Magic of Believing" that artistic types have a much keener imagination & have no problems in this department.

P.S. Try Visualizing/driving the AMG class Mercedes. Not to brag but I"m on my 4th benz & currently drive the CLS55 AMG & I can honestly say the AMG is whole different world and alot more exciting car!!!!

Hey Guys - thanks for the replies ... I didn't know the emotions were as key - always thought the visuals were - but good to know, obviously.

Lucky - lol - thanks I'll take a look at the AMG on the Mercedes site!

Quick related question though - sounds like you're doing well ... so how much of your level of success would you attribute any of the LOA/Intention-Manifestation? Just curious - I wanna' know what you do and how you do it! (per Will Smith - Pursuit of Happyness)
