I've started working on a book. I've only just started, but the strangest experience happened. Its about Heracles, and it starts off with Zeus impregnating his mother, Alcmene. So It was definitely fun to picture how Zeus would go about seducing a woman. I decided that it must have been decided straight from the beginning, his presence alone dominated her. As I've more or less finished this chapter, I was on the subway. I wanted a break from writing, so I went and sat down on the subway and listened to some hip hop instrumentals. As I sat down, there were two girls a good 6 metres away from me, sitting positioned to face the opposite way. There could have been no physical way they could have known I was there. Yet, one of the girls turned around and fully acknowledged my presence, and quickly turned back around. I smiled. After the subway reached its final destination, I exited, and walked slowly as I always do. However, I was especially conscious of the rate I was going, and to no surprise, these two girls quickly caught up with me walked at my pace. I didn't initiate a conversation [knock head against wall]. But this was particularly weird, because it mirrored what I had been writing about just earlier that day in depth. Except in a completely different setting, but identical tone. There's quite a bit more to write, and it covers some very diverse topics. This idea of writing -> manifestation is delightful. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I started thinking that through creative expression, all manifestation is found. It wouldn't make sense that it would be limited to just writing, any form of creative expression would do it. I can only wonder at what intuitive romance authors have manifested. |

I find that when writing fiction, it can often give the confidence needed to do what I would normally be afraid to do in real life. It's important that for your writing's sake that you push yourself out of your comfort zone and discover more, because then your writing will be much richer and more powerful. Otherwise you're left wondering "what if", and relying on your imagination to fill in the blanks. Sometimes this is good, but wouldn't you rather know? |

I find that I'm happiest when I write, no matter what I write. I think it makes you more aware of life and also more reflective instead of reactive. Keep up the great writing, I am!
