Hiya! I want some tips pretty please. I am wondering about affirmations. Firstly do I HAVE to write them or would typed ones be just as effective (I type significantly faster than I write you see) Secondly well saying them out loud is not really an option for me my husband is around a lot and he will think I'm NUTS! He would never try to stop me though. Plus I do some of my processes before 8am when he is sleeping. I would LOVE to know of any totally free spoken affirmations I could listen to. Another question is I will be going on holiday in August and I can't write anything down as I can't trust it to be private (visiting family and they once violated my trust by reading my diary I no longer trust there!) plus as far as I know I will NOT have daily access to a computer like I do now. My visit will be nearly a month. I am NOT great at visualizing which is why I LOVE slideshow programs and vision boards but again that whole privacy and no computer issue! Any techniques anyone can recommend while I'm away?! Thanks in advance!

More money coming into mine and my husband's lives, and us to be granted UK citizenship and UK passports and lots of travel. My parents to be successful in their lives. Getting my dream job AND a home of our own that we love. WHEW! |

Hi AthenaMarina, It seems to me that the affirmations should be related to what you want have and accomplish. There is a program/ebook I purchased a few years back that showed how to turn a goal you write down into a reality. It's not L.O.A, or affirmations, it's more technically oriented and deals with the subconcsious. With this technique, you must be specific; First, you decide what you want, and then write down a short story of it. In your case, this is an example: "By August 15, 2009, I will have done whatever is necessary to have gotten me and my husband Uk passports. We love the traveling we are able to do through the UK now. We travel anywhere we want now." Then you read through it to see if anything in it makes you feel uncomfortable, or doubtful. If you find something, underline it, and then change it or remove it so that reading the paragraph makes you feel happy, motivated, satisfied; This might be an example - "By August 15, 2009, I will have done whatever is necessary to have gotten me and my husband Uk passports. We love the traveling we are able to do through the UK now. We travel anywhere we want now." Maybe these underlined parts don't feel right, so you change them: "By or before August 15, 2009, I will have done whatever is necessary to have gotten me and my husband Uk passports. We love the traveling we are able to do through the UK now. We take pictures, see so many interesting things like we always wanted! We really enjoy ourselves!" Maybe these new statements added makes you feel even more happy or anticipated, so you keep it in. If you heel very happy and energetic, then that is the signal your subconcious likes it and you can begin repeating it. You do that by writing it down about 50 to 100 times a day. The reason is to set your subconcious on automatic pilot, so it will go about to achieving this specific goal for you, automatically. That is also why you include the date, as it will also begin to try to achieve this for you by the date you set. Or you can read it 100 times a day, as long as it inpires the good feelings and energy and a high sense of happiness. It could be by automatic action taken, a sudden thought that works, or even some bizzarre happening that makes it come about. I shared this method with a friend who needed a job and she did it with a date set. She even described the hours, type of boss, environment, and got one on the very day before the date came, with almost exactly the features of the job she described (hours, type of boss, etc). I was trying to be skeptical and objective about it, but she insists it was the writing and method that did it! Ordinarily, I would just recommend taking action, step by step to get those things you want, but affirmations couldn't hurt either, and this might help. It's not for everyone, and it may not suit you, and I can't say it absolutley 100% works, but my friend claimed it did for her..
