Default Huna

Anyone familiar with this? I've been listening to a series of podcasts (over at hunatrainer.com), interesting stuff, goes pretty deep.

I don't necessarily buy that it's ancient Hawaiian, but okay, it's still pretty deep stuff from what I'm seeing.

Hi Pyrogen

hope all is good. I was interested in your post. (Huna Trainer is a good resource for huna podcasts btw). I am an advocate of huna as a completely life changing belief system which is ethical and covers all aspects of our lives - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. My personal take on it is that it has a beautiful simplicity and it really works. I'd certainly recommend you exploring it more. You mention it being deep. I think that it is a poerful combination of simple and deep.

My view is that it is not worth splitting hairs about its precise origin etc, but to use what works now. My interest is really using huna in all aspects of my life now, which is in a modern urban (non Hawaiian setting) and showing how effective it can be in that context. I guess with any system the best way of judging its value is how effective it is for you as an individual. My personal recomemndation would be books and articles written by Serge King -a good starting point. There are many free resources on his site.

For me simply incorporating the seven huna principles (see below) into day to day life and using energising techniques is enough to make a massive change in anyones life, but there is lots more too....

1. The World Is What You Think It Is.
2. There are no limits.
3. Energy Flows Where Attention Goes.
4. Now Is The Moment Of Power.
5. To Love Is To Be Happy With (someone or something).
6. All Power Comes From Within.
7. Effectiveness Is The Measure Of Truth.

I am happy to discuss more - hope that helps some

Huna technique of manifestation

Below for your education purpose is the Huna manifesting process.

Step 1. Set clearly your intention : for example 'I want to live in New Zealand near the sea and be a writer and live of my writing'. Visualize what you want clearly as much as you can.

Step 2. Examine if this really what you want , play the what if game. Examine if your plan interfere with someone plan or wish.

Step 3. Forgive yourself and remove any blocks, if you have not already what you want it is because of blocks, if you have conflicting beliefs about money for example you cannot except to manifest large amount of it.

If you have a feeling of guilt, Max Freedom Long the specialist about Huna , used this process : Fast during three days until 1 o clock at the end of the fast period give a gift to someone in need or a charity organization, the gift must be big enough to hurt you a little bit. This will impress your low self, it will balance your feelings of guilt because you have paid back.

Step 4. Visualize what you want daily keep it firmly in your mind, until it manifest itself.

According to Otha Wingo Of the Huna Research Associates, you must also absorb mana the Kahuna word for Prana, Chi or Ki, and send mana to your visualization to make the thought form stronger. This technique is almost similar to the techniques taught by Shakti Gawain in 'creative visualization' and Melta Denning in 'Practical guide to creative visualization
Also try using the Hawaiian Golden Light method where Chi comes from the Heavens and let it fill you up.Let the Kahuna enter your body until your sure you cant contain anymore. After that just think what you really want.

Hey, Pete! I love this, from your website:

Quote:
1. Everything is objective (Scientific reality).
2. Everything is subjective (Psychic reality).
3. Everything is symbolic (Shamanic reality).
4. Everything is holistic (Mystical reality).

The kupua (Hawaiian shaman) learns to move in and out of these realities in order to change experience more effectively.
Around here you might find many conversations about the nature of reality and which is *right* and which are *wrong.* I think maybe I'll just copy/paste this in those threads!

The kupua understands the value of being flexible.

Never heard the term before, but I guess I'm aspiring to become an "accidental kupua"

Hi Angela

glad you liked the website and info. Being flexible to shift through these states is really useful. A lot of people might just believe that the scientific form of reality is the 'true' one, however using the others when it is useful is great. For example shifting to the third type of experience of reality and interpreting things symbolically as dreams can be a useful thing to do to understand experience.

All the best

Pete
