Default The importance of belief

Do you think belief is necessary to manifest? What's your experience?

I only found out about LoA or I-M when I was in my 20's. But until then I manifested very "wild" dreams that seemed to be impossible. I believe that they came true because I used to daydream (visualize) them for fun. Never for a minute did I believe they'd come true, except that when the opportunities showed up I was like took them, and got what I wanted.

Funnily enough, it's harder to manifest now because I am more often than not attached to the outcome.

When you manifest vey easily, there really is no self concern in it. It's harder for you now, because there is self conern, seeking more self in the required manifestation.

When you daydreamed them, you perceived them with carefree abandon, no self concern. Because you didn't try to find the ego part of you in them, they simply became reality. Attachment is self concern.

This is how manifestation truly works. Very little thought and very little effort.
You can manifest with thought and effort, but it's usually stressful and usually a struggle. The universe just doesn't work like that, look at nature, not a care in the world and no struggle at all.

How would one lose self-concern? If you want something, isn't there concern in it?

Even after being in meditation/being in a relaxed and thoughtless state, I imagine and deeply visualize the things I desire. Is it wrong to have desire for something to manifest?

You can deal with 'self-concern' if you don't seek validation from the 'goal'. If you feel that the reason you want to manifest X is to have emotion Y, then you've doomed yourself to start with. For example, if your a singer and you want to manifest riches and fame, it will probably never come. If your a singer and you want to inspire love and freedom into the world, then wealth and abundance is a reward, not a consequence.

Absolutely not. By denying what you desire, you fall into the ego-trap of thinking you should adhere to others before yourself, therefore making you "righteous" and "unselfish". If you want a Ferrari, then feeling shame when visualizing on it is not healthy. When you reach the stage of owning that Ferrari, you will have new knowledge and realizations, and it won't become a complex later on =)

Very good way of putting it.
