Using LOA to get my stolen keyboard back.

OK so here's my dilemma:

My keyboard was stolen on Nov. 21st, 2008. It's an $8500 keyboard that I struggled for 2 YEARS to get, literally CRYING myself to sleep several times because I didn't have it at the time.I didn't know about the LOA back then, either so you can understand the negative emotions I put myself through to get this keyboard. I KNEW I was gonna get it, but the suspense was literally killing me and my music because the keyboard of my dreams that I had been waiting for was finally here! But that price tag wasn't very friendly to say the least. But I didn't let that get to me as pricing was just that: pricing. I just said that I was gonna get one and that was that.

The keyboard is a Korg OASYS (if anyone here plays Korg Keyboards, you'll know what this is). For the rest of you, it is a flagship holy grail professional keyboard workstation that has to be heard to be believed. It is quite possibly as good as it gets in the Pro Keyboard, Musical Instrument Marketplace and my heart always skipped a beat every time I played this keyboard. It took my music to new heights and gave me back the creativity I lost from my last one. That's the summary.

I'm gonna give you guys ALL the details I can to get all the help I need. I hope you guys are up for some reading cause I don't know how to keep this simple.

So, first of all read this story so you guys can understand where I'm coming from, musically, emotionally and why I was SO happy: There's a LOT of technical details in it, but I wouldn't worry about that as I would about the tone.

My OASYS Story.............


Now here's the other half of the story and what happened that shocked the hell out of me and my boy Jared "Ark Angel" P.

First an intro about my boy Ark Angel of Ark Angel Productions:

A few months after obtaining my keyboard, I was going back to my home town, San Jose, CA after New Years Eve to be with my Mom and to see my friends again. I hod NO social life in LA, other than my family so when I went back home, I had about 10 days to REALLY think and reflect about what I want to do, both musically and in terms of work so I can make some money while I'm pursuing my music.I soon realized just how much I missed my high-school friends, my home town and my social life altogether and as a result, I decided to move back. My mom and I drive back to LA and the VERY NEXT DAY, one of my aunts friends came over and gave us a cooking lesson (he's a VERY successful and wealthy business man who owns an importing business and a few restaurants, hence the cooking lesson). He targets me for the cooking lesson, because he knew I loved to cook. We start talking and he brings up my love for making music. He tells me about his cousin, Gary and his friend Jared that have a studio and that they wanted to get in the music industry. So I'm all excited and I'm like, "COOL! This is awesome!" Then he tells me that he wants to take me to meet them that day! So we go there and I get introduced to them and I hear their tracks. Before I knew it, I was laying down some tracks on their keyboard and I was giving Jared advice on keyboards and putting my own knowledge and experience on the table to make a good impression on them. WOW did it work! I did tell Jared, however that I was moving back to San Jose and that we can keep in touch so whenever I came back to LA I can meet up with him. Jared and I exchanged numbers that day and I went home to my dads house where I was currently living.

I called Jared a week later and said I wanted to meet up with him later on that week and if he wanted to, he can come up to my dads house to check out my keyboard and my studio and whatnot. So he comes up there and we ended up doing a full-on collaboration track. I was going to my aunts house the next day so I asked if it was ok if I could crash at his house that night. He was cool with it and told me he had to work in the morning but will be back at around noon. I didn't really care cause I knew I'd be up at around 11 AM anyways. We go get some food and we start talking music and we had an instant connection, both musically and friendship wise. A couple weeks later I find out that Gary is looking for a roommate. Now here I am already set on going back to San Jose, and I find this out. Now I had to choose and I chose San Jose right off the bat. But then the more I though about it, the more I realized what I would be missing if I didn't move in with them. It took me almost a week to convince myself to move in with them and pursue my music career. I felt like I was given a second chance and that a door opened with huge opportunities and a dream to turn into a reality. So I talk to Gary about it, and he said ok. I was looking for a job, too (I had to pay rent) so I can move in. I find a job at Sam Ash Music right around the corner from their house. I get hired almost immediately. So I move in and Jared and I instantly became best friends because of what we had in common. He took my confidence to the next level and helped me in every possible way he could. From the first week of Feb. to Nov. 20th I was living there. During these 8 months, I struggled both financially and in food (I lost my job at Sam Ash in April because I was late few times but i didn't care because I just wanted that job to move in with Jared. That's it) , I made a best friend, and as little money as I had, I was happier than I had EVER been for 2 reasons and 2 reasons alone: I finally found a best friend that I could help out in any way I could and talk to. And on the music side I had my OASYS. What more could I possibly ask for??? When we struggled, we struggled together. We helped each other out during hard times and kept out heads up knowing that we are eventually gonna make it big in the music business.

Here's what happened on the night of the 20th of this month:

Jared and I at this point are practically brothers from different mothers, to say the least. We had some people come over that night and we were having a nice relaxing time. One guy, Mix who I've ALWAYS wanted to meet came over to meet me and to catch up with Jared, cause they were also best friends. I show the guys my keyboard and play something for them. I was moving the next morning and right after my performance, Jared and I start packing to prepare for the next morning as my dad was coming with a u-haul to move back in with him for the time being. As we're packing, Mix and I chat for a bit and we exchange numbers.By the time they left it was around 12:30 AM. Jared and I were the only ones home and we were enjoying our last moments together living in that house. It's around 2:30 AM and Jared says goodnight to me and goes to bed upstairs. But I stay up and continue packing until around 4:30 maybe 5 AM. I go upstairs to bed. My keyboard is packed up, in its case, ready to be closed and put in the u-haul. I had a lot of my items by the front door, too. So the next morning, my dad arrives. We lived in a small gated community with a few similar homes surrounding us. So you had to have a code to get in. On top of that all the doors were looked and the only way to get in was if you had a key. When my dad arrived at around 10:10 AM, the front door was unlocked and the gate was wide open. He comes upstairs and wakes me up.I get up, and he tells me that the number I gave him for the u-haul didn't answer. So I went downstairs to get on the computer. I find him a new number and location to the u-haul. I go upstairs to finish up a few things and as I get to the stairs, I look behind me where the keyboard was supposed to be in its case. I saw the case there, but no keyboard. I almost freaked out, but I kept my cool. But I ran upstairs to my boy, Jared. "Yo! You awake? Open the door!" I said. He opens the door and I said. "Dude the keyboard is gone!" "Shut up," he said. I'm like "dude I'm not kidding, come downstairs and see for yourself." So he gets out of his bed, goes down the stairs and when I saw his face, I realized how shocked he was. He just couldn't believe it. I couldn't either! I mean I just......I was in shock! I just couldn't believe it was gone. Everything I had ever worked for, all my music was on that keyboard. I put my entire life into this thing trying get somewhere with my music. And the most interesting part is that Jared took it a LOT harder than me and it wasn't even his keyboard. He called the cops BEFORE me! He tried to help me out in EVERY possible way to get this thing back!

Now my family for whatever reason (my mom, aunt, brother, grandma and cousin) sees this dude as a loser and a bum when ALL he's trying to do is make it in the music industry. They've never even met the guy before and they think he's taking advantage of me and think that he's the one that stole my keyboard when he's doing everything he can to help me out and get my keyboard back!

I just want to hear what everyone has to say about all this. I for one REFUSE to believe that Jared stole my keyboard because I KNOW he didn't do it! We helped each other out during some of our WORST struggles! We helped each other keep our heads up and I would mentor Jared on the LOA to keep his spirits up and to keep going. This guy would sometimes have 2 bucks in his wallet and I'm literally STARVING. He'll take me to the local liquor shop and spend his $2 to get me a cup of noodles so I wouldn't be hungry. I'm often like, "well what about you?" He says to me all the time "I'll figure something out." This guy has helped me out to the Nth degree! I did the same thing for him. I fixed his car for him, I bought him food, and made sure he was ok. We're ALWAYS helping each other out and every time I do something for him, he thanks me for it. And my family thinks HE did it?! COME ON!

The WORST part is this: My brother is making me choose between my friends and my keyboard and ON TOP of ALL that, I can't even see my OWN best friend because "he says so!" Because "they're dangerous and they can kill you! They have your keyboard! They stole it!" Give me a break, man! They don't even KNOW him and they are coming up with this CRAZY conclusion the he did it! Talk about jumping to conclusions!

I KNOW who did it and every time I offer a different opinion, I get told to shut up, and I get ostracized for having a different point of view!

I really need help here, and though that this would be a good place to start.

OK so I did the Golden Thread Spell last night and again this morning to get my keyboard back and I didn't get a straight answer but this crazy idea of hiring a private detective came to me out of nowhere and the more I think about it, the more I'm realizing that this is the way to go.

They are NOT cheap, but who here focuses on price to get what you want? Cause I sure as hell don't do that and if I want something I'm gonna find a way to get it regardless of my financial situation!

Why can't you just try and get hold of the person who stole it? what did the silva method involve, did you just visualize or something?

I did that already and to my surprise, he didn't sound surprised at all. He just said in a monotone kind of way "That's hella weak, man that's hella weak" he wasn't surprised, shocked or anything like that in any way, shape or form. And then a couple weeks ago I heard that his laptop got stolen, which makes him even MORE suspicious. What goes around, comes around, right? So he didn't sound surprised at all in any way shape or form and the whole time I was talking to him, I felt like he was bluffing and then he interrupts me and says "I got a call on the other line, let me hit you back in like 5 minutes" and I never heard from him again after that. So something is DEFINITELY up with this dude, and I can't seem to get past the notion that he did it! And every time I even TRY to see someone else doing it, this dude keeps coming back to me. So I'm following my intuition and instincts about this dude to EVERY degree I can so I can find this keyboard and get it back.

One thing IS for certain, though as I affirm it everyday and I feel good about it, too: That my keyboard IS without question coming back to me. I keep affirming it to myself, I feel good about it and I KNOW it's coming back. I can't explain the feeling, either, because its SO DEEP inside me that I feel REALLY happy just thinking about it now and the feeling seems to be expanding within me by law.

When I used the Silva Method, I saw this dude IMMEDIATELY! I asked where is my keyboard a couple times and when I saw purple spirals and he popped out. I saw him kind of standing there and laughing because he "got paid."

So I KNOW he did it and I've known it since day 1 of the theft! I just need to find someone to contact him, joke around, make him comfortable and in a clever way bring up the keyboard as a joke to see if he bites.

Yeah, by the sounds of it he stole it, monotone voice and minimal expressions are classic signs of someone lying, hiding something, I can't stand stealing in any shape or form, I hope this ass gets what coming to him.

Why don't you use the silva method to find a way of being able to get the keyboard back of him, or double bluffing him in someway?

Sina, It looks like you keep wanting to play the victim role. Why not just call the police? You've used your energy to locate the guy, now make it easy on yourself and point the police towards him.

Then you don't have to focus on "I'm being stolen from" anymore and can work on better things in your life.

I called them the day my keyboard got stolen. But proving that he did it is gonna be a challenge and that's what I'm focused on right now.

I am SO CLOSE to getting my keyboard back! I just have to prove that he stole it to sell for his own financial incentive. Then I find out who he sold it to, and catch BOTH of them and throw them in prison.

So... in your mind, in order for you to use LoA to get your keyboard back, you have to become a private investigator that has the ability to track down criminals and find court-admissible evidence that both of these people were involved in a crime of stealing your keyboard and then put both these people in jail?

Why not just use LoA to attract another keyboard of the same kind?

Or why not use LoA to attract the funds to purchase another keyboard?

Use LoA to get what you want directly. Do you want your keyboard back, or do you want to solve crimes?

I'm not trying to diminish the emotions you're feeling because I know what it feels like to have something stolen from you, although not of that value. When I was in high school, someone stole the wheel covers off my car. They were only worth about $100 but I was working at McDonald's back then making like $4/hour so that was a lot of money to me back then.

I was so pissed off I wanted to kick someone's ass. I found out who did it, but I couldn't do anything about it because I couldn't prove it and it drove me nuts. Then, one day I just let it go, and decided not to care if I ever prove that it was that person who did it. A few days later I was working at McDonald's and I was telling one of the truck drivers who delivers food to McDonald's about the story, and a week later he brought in a brand new pair of wheel covers for me that he had in his garage collecting dust ever since he sold his Honda. They were worth about 5 times as much as my other ones and he gave them to me for free.

These ones were the type that you have to unscrew the wheel bolts to put them on so there was no way to steal them again.

About a month later, I was playing basketball with a friend and the guy who stole my hubs happened to be driving by in his car. I walked up to the car and said "Nice wheel covers!". He totally forgot that he stole them from me so he was all embarrassed and said something stupid like "Oh, I was just borrowing them, I'll give them back."

I said "No, it's ok man, I got way better ones now anyways...you keep them."

It's amazing what happens when you just let go of the negative energy of feeling betrayed and hurt that something was stolen and instead focus on the positive energy of being clear on what you want.

It sounded like to me that the fear that you had when you had to make that decision to move or stay contributed to your keyboard getting stolen. Were you saying in your mind or to yourself "What if I move in and I don't make it?" I mean think about it. You moved in, and it sounds like to me you didn't have that "Feel Good Feeling" inside before you moved, and if not, that was a clear sign that my have not been the right decision for you at the time. But unfortunately, Negative creates even more negative, if you were not positive to begin with. And fear of losing your keyboard could've also caused that also. After all, the Oasis isn't cheap. I do music also, so I know exactly what keyboard you are talking about.

Dude, get the Private Investigator, if that was what came up in your visual exercise, do it. But internally, you are going to have to take an L, and let it go. And that is going to be easier said than done, especially if that was your life, and all of your money. If you were making 100,000, it would be easier to let go, cause you can always get another one if you wanted to, but in your situation, assuming that's not the case, it's going to be difficult. But guess what, it happened for a reason. So tap into your higher self, and find out what you are supposed to do from here...

First of all it's not "Oasis," it's OASYS. Let's get the little things right, first. Secondly, I KNOW how good my music is, and I KNOW I will make it in the music biz. Period. If I didn't think I wasn't gonna make it, I would not have moved in. PERIOD. The good feeling was ALWAYS there and I will NEVER in a MILLION YEARS regret living in that house. That was THE HAPPIEST time I EVER had in my life and I will NEVER trade that for ANYTHING, even if I did lose my keyboard in the end! PERIOD, PERIOD, PERIOD! No offense, but it sounds like the only negative person in this topic is you simply because you brought that up. I hope I'm wrong, but this is the impression you gave me.

If you were making 100,000, it would be easier to let go, cause you can always get another one if you wanted to....

Yeah, but even then, I'd STILL go to the same lengths to get it back, given how much work I put into it. We are talking 8 YEARS OF WORK! Over 1000 tracks, several hundred sounds created FROM SCRATCH, 22 Drum Kits, FROM SCRATCH (8 of them with their OWN Sample sets, outside of the keyboards ROM!), and not to mention all my Combinations, (600 from my last keyboard, the Triton, and over 300 MORE on the OASYS) which is what Korg calls it when you want to layer, split, and orchestrate different sounds together to create a "performance setting" to Jam with, Compose, or to get inspired.

Exactly. And I believe its only as difficult as YOU make it out to be. And, yes it DID happen for a reason and yes, I DID attract it, more likely than not, on a subconscious level of thought which I understand MUCH better now than I did back then. So why would you even bring that up, if you already knew the answer?

But one thing IS certain:

It IS coming back to me. No other questions need to be asked regarding that.

And guess what? I already found out what I'm supposed to do from here: Call the LAPD Detective that I've been working with, and do a second phone interview because she called me back today and left me a message when I was out of the house! And I told her who did when I called her so she can somehow prove it. The power of positive thinking! WOW!

If I have to get SHOT in the arm or the leg, to get my keyboard back, then that's what I'm gonna do! That keyboard is literally a PART of me that brought me so much joy and happiness. Losing this keyboard to me is like a mother losing her child (not by death, but by being kidnapped). Do you not understand that?

The only difference between me and the mother is this: I have remained calm and positive the WHOLE time. Every time I have a negative thought, visualization, etc. I shake it off. I'm not hurt, or betrayed in any way, shape or form. I KNOW who did it and I just need to somehow (by the power of the universe inside me), prove that he did it to sell it.

I just want my OASYS back. That's it. I'm clear in my mind about getting it back and I affirm it all day everyday.

So I KNOW its coming back and I feel GREAT just thinking about it.

Yes, sorry, I missed the part that the keyboard had a crapload of your work on it. I thought the big thing was that the keyboard cost a lot, I didn't know that you needed this SPECIFIC keyboard back.

However, even so, in one of your posts you said:

I just want to point out that by saying "I just have to..." you are telling the Universe HOW you want to get the keyboard back, when in fact there may be easier ways that the Universe can orchestrate its return without it happening the way you describe.

Meaning, what if you could get YOUR keyboard back but you don't prove who stole it and you don't catch BOTH of them and throw them in prison? Would you still be OK with that? If so, then I would focus your intentions on getting the keyboard back, and not on that specific of HOW you think it will come back to you.

For example, here are a few other ways it could come back to you:

(1) The police do a raid on a house for something else and find your keyboard along with a whole bunch of other stolen goods and contact you.

(2) You use Silva Method to locate the location of the keyboard and find out it's at a pawn shop. You then visit the pawn shop, confirm that it's your keyboard and contact the police to report it. The police then use the records that the pawn shop owner has to locate the person who sold it to the pawn shop owner.

(3) You contact a local TV News station and ask them if they would like to do a story on a local musician trying to get into the music business but who's keyboard got stolen along with a decade worth of music. This could also be the newspapers, not just TV. Reporters are ALWAYS looking for a news story! You never know it might work...all it takes is a few phone calls. Perhaps then someone knows who stole it and calls in to be a hero on TV!

(4) You could put an ad out on Craigs list saying "Wanted: Korg Keyboard" and put in details of what you're looking for. You don't have to say specifically exactly your model. You could put "Either ___________ or __________ model, must have _______" to kind of make it sound like you're just in the market for a keyboard like this. In the ad, use a different name, not your own, just in case the person knows that it was stolen from you.

Put a lower price than it's really worth, like "Willing to pay up to $4,000 for used Korg ____________ or ___________ ". When people call you, you can ask about the model, and if it matches yours, you can ask a couple more questions like why they are selling so cheap and go along with the sale. Go check it out...if it's yours, call the cops...if it's not, just don't buy it.

(5) I would definitely say that Pawn Shops, eBay and Craigs list would be my top lists of places to check. For pawn shops, there is only a certain number of them in your local area.

Just some ideas to go looking for the keyboard, besides the one possibility you're looking at right now which is to go after the person who took it. Search for the keyboard and you will probably find out who took it anyways, instead of looking for the person who took it in hopes of finding the keyboard.

OK so here's the deal:

I got $10,000. Whoever finds my OASYS with the 1602 serial # and the guy who stole it, will get the 10 grand.

I am going out on a limb here, but only because you asked for advice. What is it you really want, the keyboard or success as a musician? Keep the focus in the right place and don't let your ego/pain body deflect your real purpose in life.
