I can't be the only person who noticed this so, does anyone notice that the moer they watch The Secret, the more sense it seems to make, the more you take in and understand?

I got it all the first time, but I've watched it about 15 times so far, and it does have a reinforcing affect, like the more you watch it, it goes grom an intellectual understanding to deeper and deeper into your subconcious. I am beginning to feel very much more alive, and a part of God than I ever felt before. By comparison, other things were inspiring, but fell short. Kind of like the Bible says, "They have a form of Godly devotion, but prove false to it's power". The secret has proven to be true to that power of God that others only made promises about (Pie in the sky). It has even been working as the movie explained. It's proven to be more than just a pep talk/pep rally. It's real. The Law of Attraction is REAL! And It's WONDERFUL! It is King Soloman's Mine. It is The Midas Touch. It is The Holy Grail. And, The Genie has been let out of the bottle. |

The secret has always felt incomplete to me. Not that I don't believe in The Law of Attraction. It's that I don't think the people who made the film and the book really gave much thought to the more important question:"What is it that I truly want? Who is my true self?" I've found that Eckart Tolle's books have helped me greatly in finding those answers, and I remember The Law of Attraction working for me on some occasions. To be honest however I haven't been putting it in practice much lately. Some of the values that are vehiculated in The Secret movie clash with my own and with what I'm learning through Eckhart Tolle. I think I need to ignore that and apply the Law of Attraction according to my values and priorities. What are some of your stories regarding the Law of Attraction? I'd love to hear them |

I experienced that--I have the audiobook of The Secret, and have listened to it at least a dozen times while working or driving. Every time I listened to it, I would pick up on something new. But I did get to a point where I started to feel like I wasn't getting anything new out of The Secret. I felt like I needed something else to kick me into the next level; as MariconesUnited said, it felt "incomplete." So I started listening to other LoA teachers--mostly Abraham-Hicks, but also Ramtha, and right now I'm listening to Joe Vitale's The Missing Secret and really getting a lot out of it. A friend loaned me the Sedona Method Basic Course, and I'm looking forward to getting into that, too. All of those teachers overlap--you really could say that they are all saying the exact same thing--but each one has a slightly different emphasis, and their own way of presenting the material. Stuff I'm sure I heard many times in The Secret suddenly "clicked" when I heard it from Abraham-Hicks. Stuff I'm sure I heard many times from Abraham-Hicks has suddenly "clicked" now that I'm hearing it from Joe Vitale. They all reinforce each other in really cool and unexpected ways, so I'm sure that if I go back to listening to Abraham-Hick, or even The Secret, I'll finally hear stuff I didn't before. In other words, repetition is great, but variety really helps a lot, too. |

One thing about the secret you have to remember is that is was made to be palatable to a large audience. It is an intro course so to speak. Once you start vibrating in alignment with your true reality others like Abraham will come to you. It is really great to get slightly different perspectives on the nature of our reality from different "people or memory complexes" .. Some resonate more with me than others. One person that really clicks with me is Bashar...... has anyone seen this guy? |

I also love Abraham, same message, different words!! I also agree that "the secret" its just an intro and dont go really deep into the "how to", but it did a great job exposing loa to a lot of people and yes, the more you learn and grow the more you take out of it each time you see it... at least i do Have a good weekend guys. Repetition is the mother of learning. You could use the same approach to learn literally anything. In a relatively short period of time you could literally learn any new skill or become an expert in any field with this approach. I also think this is the same reason why many people find themselves getting "stuck" with The Secret. They aren't persistent enough to the point where they have replaced some of their old and limiting beliefs. Instead they live in the Lake of lack, blaming everything outside of them and ignoring the deep seated power within themsevles. | |

This is what one of the paragraphs in the first chapter of "Ask and It is Given" says (paraphrased): You only hear what you are are ready to hear We are talking to you on many differen levels of consciousness simultaneously, but you will only understand what you are ready to understand right now. Not everyone will get as much out of this book, but every time you read it, you will be able to grasp something more. This is a book that will be read many times by those that understand the power in it. |

Heh. Really, all of you? The movie somehow feels a bit shallow when i rewatch it again. They repeat themselves a lot, don't they? It feels mostly like it is aimed at people completely oblivious to it and fails to mention many, many, many details. It's biggest flaw may be that it completely underestimates what you actually have to do mentally to get the LoA working reasonably well. That said, i think it is unparalled as a motivational/inspirational source. |

Hi all! I watched "Secret" recently and I must say that it didn't go that well with me... I just recently discovered LoA, but I believe in it, and even had some small success with it. But I discovered it through Robert Anthony's audio book "The power of deliberate creation". After finishing this book, I read and watched "Secret", and found it rather shallow and digested. Robert Anthony's "tPoDC" is waay better for me, because I felt that it really did manage to turn me into a believer. I will admit, I don't listen to the 1st chapter any more, because he is trying to explain the process through quantum physics, but the rest of the book is just golden. I can't explain why all of them just don't say "Honestly, I don't have the clue how it works, but it does work"... After all, we only have to concentrate on the end result The other thing that I didn't like about "Secret" (film) was that it attempts to be so "dramatic"... I don't know how to explain, but when you watch it, you get the feeling that they are overdoing the "secret" thing... working with secret, they knew the secret, now you know the secret, secret this and secret that, secret, secret, secret.... It started to look as they were all trying to sell us the product (which they were, but that's not the issue here) in stead of trying to teach something. And I really didn't like the way the sayings from famous people were read, it reminded me of some cheap horror movie However, I don't mean to be negative. The secret has its own values - it's easy to read, it's fun, the film was interesting to watch (at least the first time)... but FOR ME, it is a weak and unfinished copy of "The power of deliberate creation"... Heck, even Rhonda acknowledged that the real inspiration behind the book was Robert Anthony's work. I looked it up in the book's acknowledgements, later read it here (Dr. Robert Anthony: The Secret Behind “The Secret”) And he himself didn't want to take part in it because he felt it was "oversimplified", in other words, not very well explained. Now you may think that I have gone over the top with this Robert Anthony, but I feel I must write this. His books turned my life around, especially "Beyond positive thinking" and "The utimate secrets of total self-confidence". I was going through very painful and hard part of my life, when his books came to me, and literally saved me from the break-down or illness. I acquired his other books (just started with "Betting on yourself") and I'm sorry that I can read them only one at the time My sincerest reccommendation is that you get any of his books. Once you read it, you will get all others |
