This is well and good for those who've successfully dealt with all their issues with money and financial abundance, and Steve has been at that point for a long time. However, for those of us still unearthing all our issues, manifesting financial abundance is (IMHO) a necessary step. We have to become comfortable around it, we have to switch our mindsets, and if we don't-- if we just concentrate on delivering value-- it is too easy for our old fears and thought patterns to mold any success to their template.

For example, if I become comfortable with money and erase any doubt about being successful, then when I am successful money will not be an issue, I'll handle whatever comes in quite well. If I don't work through basic money issues and attracting financial abundance, any success I have will be subject to my belief that I'll never make money doing what I love, or that I'll always be in debt, or that I don't have enough money to truly go all out and do what I want to do. Money is such a basic need-- whether your society uses coins, wheat stalks, bartering, or differently sized pebbles, your society has some form of equal exchange for goods-- and our beliefs are so deep-seated, that working for financial abundance is a necessary step. If the money happens to combine with your chosen field or value, wonderful. My intending has gotten me two small work projects at a time of the year when I normally don't get any from this company.

Steve had an earlier blog post in which he advocated homelessness/living on a park bench over things like holding a job, and in that one even he admitted that Erin wasn't too keen on the park-bench idea. Keep in mind he's writing from his own point of view, which is at a way different evolutionary point than ours.

If anything, the new blog post is something we shouldn't read, because it opens up the old fear about how money is a bad thing to manifest and thus a bad thing to want, leading to doubt about anything we get from this experiment and all our past work. It's also kind of like "Don't think of a pink elephant." It pretty much guarantees we're going to start thinking about money, and we risk slipping back into thinking about how we may not have the money we want.

I think you are misunderstanding what he is saying. Steve is saying in that article to focus on creating and delivering value which in turn will bring you financial abundance. He's saying don't just try to focus on money i.e. don't fairy tale wish for it without doing anything in return.

I have to disagree with Steve partly in this article. If you are intending money, and feeling as if you have it, vibrationally you are in a good state to attract it and/or things that match up with that vibration. Just look at how much money myself and others have manifested since this experiment started. Also, this will help to replace old negative thinking patterns about abundance and success.

Definitely. There are many different schools of thought (ha) regarding manifestation; Steve's is but one. I respect him, and still choose to follow more closely other paths.

I'm still intending every morning and am just going to let the universe decide the best way to handle results.

By the way, the latest is a coupon from a bank involved in the recent bank-buyout brouhaha. Now that they've been bought out they're apparently trying to get more customers, and offering $100 (only w/coupon, sorry guys) for opening a new account. I wouldn't get the $100 for about three months and it would be subject to taxes, but hey. I still have to check if there are account fees, but if there aren't any....

I don't ever buy lottery tickets, or really gamble at all for that matter, but the other day one of my clients gave me some instant scratch tickets, and one of them won $10. So I was at the market this evening and remembered about the ticket, and decided to "reinvest" the money into another scratch ticket. I just took it out and scratched it and it is a $1000 winner. Yes! Oh and I got a $20 card from Bob's today, I may be on a roll...

Hi all,
I saw this post last week and was going to join in..but couldn't remember my log in info. (obviously, i found it!) Anyway, just wanted to let you know that the day I found this post and pondered it, a few hours later, I found a sterling silver pendant in a parking lot. It is a cross and it says Avanti sterling on the back. I thought it was interesting that I found it the same day I wanted to join in on the experiment!
Yesterday, when I was going to get the mail I was thinking 'thank you for this unexpected income in the mail!' and when I opened the mailbox, there was that same offer to get $100 free for opening a new checking account (which I will be doing). There is a time delay in receiving the 100 bucks, but that's ok!
Also I have found little amounts of money, like $1 here and .25 there.
I think more money is finally starting to come my direction!
I haven't actually been praticing the official statement, I've only read it aloud like twice, but I can start concentrating on & affirming it daily, and see what happens.
