I think I manifested an intention!

For a while I've been overloaded in my job with routine admin, which has got in the way of me doing more interesting work and delivering training courses and providing coaching 1:1 which is what I want to do.

In my department there was only my manager and myself, so the buck stopped with me in terms of getting things done, including all the basic stuff.

I wrote an intention about recruiting an administrator to my department so that I could have some admin support. I also discussed it with my manager and she told me that it definitely wouldn't happen due to budgets, so as you can imagine I was a bit discouraged.

I then read a story online about an IT small business owner who needed some more network admin support but couldn't afford a full time staff member. He set an intention for more network admin support not knowing how it would be achieved. He soon had a request to run a project from another company. He said he could do it, but only with more network support, so the company agreed to provide him with ongoing additional network admin support for free, in addition to paying him for the project!

So I amended my intention. I asked for reliable admin support at work and I didn't mind how it manifested.

Today my manager told me that my role is to be moved to a different manager in a bigger department.This department has 4 administrators, so I am sure some of my routine paperwork can be delegated to support me. I know it hasn't happened yet, but I really think I'm going to get exactly what I wanted. -Yeah!

I also happen to get on well with my new manager so there are no issues with the move.

Now to work on the payrise

Indeed - be flexible with the plan, and just focus on the real goal. I find that my intentions get refined as I hold them.
