This works for me, too. The last time I decided to move, I started cleaning out my house and packing boxes before I knew if I could get a loan or not. I knew I was going to move no matter what, and decided I might as well get ready, even if I wasn't sure how it was going to happen. I'm doing that again, now--I want to move to another city. Again, I don't yet know where the money will come from, but I know it will if I do my part and get ready to act when the time comes by clearing out all my "excess baggage." And it's worked for much smaller things, too. I wanted a heavy-duty sewing machine so I could upholster furniture, but my sewing room was a mess and I had no room to work on projects even if I had a suitable machine. So I cleaned it up. Two days later, I stopped by to help a friend who was cleaning out her grandmother's house after she had moved into a nursing home. She asked me if I wanted a sewing machine she'd found in the garage; it was one her grandfather used to use to sew boat covers and car upholstery. Sure enough, it was a heavy-duty machine like the one I imagined buying. Not only that, but it had been fully serviced shortly before her grandfather died and was ready to be put straight to work. My friend gave it to me for free, and wouldn't hear of taking money for it. "You'll put it to good use, and my grandfather would have liked that," she said. More recently, I wanted a pair of chairs for my front porch, but I didn't want to spend much money for them. I just wanted something comfortable so I could sit outside and read on hot days. I decided to clean off the porch because it was a mess, and later that afternoon someone left a pair of chairs in the alley, free for the taking, that were the perfect size, in good condition, and comfortable for reading. So yes, making space for what I want definitely works for me! |

This is a great thread. Wish there were more responses and examples. I'm pretty new to IM-ing, and one of my intentions is to learn how to manifest things faster. There seems to be a lot of talk about emotion, visualizing, feeling, etc. but less on physical day-to-day action to prepare to receive, which can speed things up. One recent example (although unintentional): I was heading out with my mom, and she kept asking me why I have to take so long to change. I usually try to dress nice and put together when I go out, so it's a normal thing. But without thinking, I responded, "Well I might see someone when I'm out!" I just said it so she'd stop harassing me. It was totally not my intention, but she believed it. Then yeah you probably guessed it: I bumped into an acquaintance (who I really liked for a few months) at the casino. I almost got a heart attack. The chances of us passing by each other (I didn't recognize him until a few moments later) are VERY slim. It was in a different part of town, and the casino was huge. So now I'm thinking, there was something to it -- that somehow I was sending out vibes that I really was intending to bump into someone and decided to dress nicer. And that could be applied to larger things (haven't tested it yet, but magicalrealist your story is inspiring!) What do you guys think about day-to-day action, as if you're preparing to get whatever it is that you are manifesting? |

I believe our problem with things manifesting faster is that we think about us lacking so much that if it were to take place, say for instance, moving out the average person will be thinking about the money thats going to be spent how are the bills going to be paid on time because moving is expensive et cetera et cetera. These are the negative energy we put on ourselves which causes things to feel like it is going to take long or it is never going to happen and so forth and so forth. I don't know if you guys ever seen the blog on Bashar but he said something that gave me an aha moment and it went like this: the universe gives us unconditional love so if you're constantly saying I don't have your future or your world becomes a world of I don't have ,I am lacking- so it is all based on the energy you put out. Out of all the years I 've been living I never knew how powerful the mind is I just learned this on my own- with so many negative people around it is often hard to see the positive things that are infront of you.

This happened back when I was younger; one of the earliest examples of 'instant manifesting' before I knew what it was. My mom wanted a new DVD player and I thought I'd surprise her with one. She hadn't asked or mentioned it but I thought it would be a nice gesture. I went to the local store and saw two models; one was $100 and the other better model was $200 or thereabouts. I could really only afford the cheaper one but I wanted the better one for my mom. I told myself that even though I needed the extra $100 for my bills that week I wanted the better model. I struggled with it mentally for a few minutes but then I let the money worry go. I felt good about it because I imagined how pleased my mom would be and that made me feel good. I saw her smiling and really happy.I bought the more expensive model and paid the man. I felt good about it. I walked over to the front door. There on the welcome mat was a $100 dollar bill. It was windy outside and must have blown in. I looked around and the shop man had walked out of view into an office room. There was no-one else in the store and weirdly.. no-one outside. I picked up the bill and went home really grateful. I think about this memory a lot as, for me, it contains the essence of the manifesting experience. I have two recent examples of manifesting things I think about. I just need to get it to work on things I really want! #1 - When my family was recently at my house, we all played Pictionary. My nephew drew the cutest mouse for one of the words. I kept the picture and put it on my refrig. All of a sudden, everywhere I went - I started seeing a mouse here and a mouse there. I never go outside and see them - but I started seeing them EVERY day. That picture is now tucked away somewhere safe and not visable because the last thing I need is for them to come in my house. The minute I took down the picture - no more mouse sightings. #2 - "Muskrat Love" My co-workers and I were talking about the weirdest songs ever to be successful - my first thought was "Muskrat Love." None of my co-workers ever heard of the song, so I sung it to them. About a week later - I was about to go into a meeting and "Muskrat Love" started playing outside of the meeting room from the music in the hotel. Then my family came up to visit and my mom brought some odds and ends she found of mine when I was younger - both albums were by the "Captain and Tenille" and you got it - one had Muskrat Love on it. My mom has had those albums for 23 years and she chose that time to give it to me. Weird! |

The picture below is a space I created by emptying the front wall in the room to make a recording studio. The only piece of gear I had at the time was the computer. Almost immediately gear started manifesting. The above picture are the results after about a year. The picture shows the studio in the middle of a CD project that was recorded there - and for which I was well paid as the producer, engineer, and main musician. |

Seeing the picture everywhere will have had a mouse etched into your mind even without you thinking about it. I never thought about using my fridge as a type of vision board but now I definitely will - there are all sorts of magnets/photos I can put up! |

Michael's story about deciding to buy the more expensive DVD player, only to get "reimbursed" the extra $100 he spent made me think of recent events around here. One of my cats got really sick about three weeks ago. His kidneys suddenly shut down, and he ended up at an emergency vet clinic, on IV fluids, for five days. For the first two days, I honestly thought I was going to have to have the poor guy put down; he was in really bad shape. His bloodwork wasn't noticeably improving, either. I spent those two days getting used to the idea that I wasn't going to bring him home alive, and that his time was up. But at the same time I wanted him to come home, and wasn't going to give up easily. I went in to visit him, and he was so withdrawn and sickly--I was just wrecked with grief at the thought of letting him go. But I petted him as much as he would allow, then told him, "If you want to go, I'll help you do that. But I hope you'll decide to stay, instead." And then the thought of money came to mind, and I immediately started to feel tense about it. I caught myself, however, and recognized what I was doing. And then I told him, "I don't care about the money--it doesn't matter; I'd rather have you around instead. If you can be helped, I'll pay whatever it costs to do that." The moment I'd finished saying that, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. All of a sudden, I felt like things might just work out okay. The day after I made that promise, I found out that my application to refinance my mortgage at a lower interest rate had been approved, and I would be saving a huge amount of money over the life of the loan, as well as enjoying lower payments. Which was nice, because by the time the cat turned the corner, stabilized, and was released from the emergency vet the bill was about $2300. I paid it cheerfully. I was getting to take my cat home alive, after all. We've since spent another $500 at my regular vet and on prescriptions in the last 10 days, and--you know, I don't even flinch anymore. I just pay the vet bills, like I promised I would. The cat is doing amazingly well, and while I'm dosing him with meds, I'm also visualizing him as healthy, and focusing on how he's improving every day (and he is). Today I went to the post office--I hadn't cleared out my PO box in a couple of weeks--and in the box was an unexpected check. The check was written the day I brought the cat home from the emergency clinic, and it was for $2100. I wasn't expecting it at all, but there it was. And the very first thought I had was, "Hey, I'm getting paid back for that vet bill!" The people standing in line to mail their taxes must have thought I was losing my mind as I stood there, laughing myself silly... |

Magical realist's story is pretty impressive too, thanks for sharing that one. Sometimes results appear to be more powerful or more easily attained when you have a strong intention for someone you love rather than for yourself. Perhaps there's a purity there that seems to allow a greater ability to let go of any negatives? Michael | |

I like some of these ideas. My father is about to sell my dearly departed grandmothers apartment...its fallen into a state of disrepair. Shall I start repairing some things here and there while waiting to win the lottery to buy it? I'm serious. My grandma took me in and I lived there for two years while sorting things out. My dad lives 10,000 miles away..its so unfair he inherited it, but its the family tradition. p.s. I love you Grandma, I'll get our house back! |
