I have a dilemma, this year 2011 I bought a diary/planner and it had a column there called "Gratitude List" and so I thought of writing down what I am thankful for because that was the point of it, I wrote in about January "I am thankful that I have a nice and caring boyfriend" then I showed it to my bf, April he first became abusive, and August we broke up.

I don't understand...sometimes when I thank the universe for something it seems that it takes it away from me...

In the same way, I was thinking "oh I'm so happy to have my best friend" then suddenly we fall out just right after thinking that. This year was so unfortunate, 2 of my other close friends moved out of the country. Then the employee I have that I was getting close to and was literally just thinking to myself "I am so glad and thankful that she is here" a few days later, I hear she is going to resign...

It seems to me that this was a rough year for relationships. I know for me it started out rough. The first week in Feb I caught my BF in bed with a married co-worker. I'm grateful it happened. If I was still with him the odds of me being here, working on I/M, and starting out my new life as a life coach would be about -100.

"They" are right. When painful things happen, that is when we grow. I see relationships (of all sorts) so very different now. Even people I've known for years. Some of them I brought in closer, and others I've put distance.

Ever think maybe your ex Bf was never as caring as you believed. That the universe did hear you and decided to make room in your life for a truely caring BF to enter? And just think, what if you had married him, then he became abusive?

yes you're right this seems to be a rough year for relationships, i have about 2 close friends who broke up with their partners...i don't know if i just notice it now because i am in the same boat because break ups happen all the time anyway...

but before i wrote "i am thankful for having a nice and caring bf" he really was...he just changed after that...

The relationship might've broken down at that point anyway, regardless of what you'd written. People can only hold up a facade for so long before their true self came out. And yeah, your manifesting a "nice and caring b/f" when your b/f wasn't really so nice and caring, I'd expect to see him clear out to make way. It's happened to me, in fact.

I guess he was just holding up a facade, it has been a year and he was really nice, caring, and thoughtful to me...so I was shocked when he just changed...

What happened to you pyrogen?

Six months to a year is about the watershed. That's when things get bad if they're going to get bad. Though over time you will probably spot little things that were "off". I was with my ex husband for a year before he started acting obviously difficult (I won't say abusive, but one of the main two reasons i left was because of his tantrums and immature behavior) but there were little tiny signs that were only obvious years later... Little eccentricities.

As for me... Well, this is a subjective reality or somewhat shamanistic technique... If something is bothering me, I mentally place myself in a reality where that thing has been resolved, or I make an intention about having something I really want.

When it comes to relationships, this tends to result in a breakup more than in altering an existing relationship. You have to have room for the results to show up.

If it's easier for you to do it just few minutes a day, great, if you feel better visualizing during the whole day, do that...

The most important thing is that you don't force it, you should feel like you have a girlfriend when visualizing.

Two years ago I manifested a person just by imagining them in my head and feeling their presence (I didn't know of loa back then) and it took me a year when things started happening.
It was scary how every little detail was correct (accept their physical look), places I imagined, their habbits, family, way of talking...

First decide what EXACTLY do you want, more details the better, because whatever you don't fill in, universe will and it doesn't have to suit you.

When I was visualizing I was doing it few times a day, but it did take me a long time, so I don't know....
Oh yes, there was no forced action when I was meeting that person for the first time, it looked like a coincedence...
I think that they call it an inspired action....

It's basically a book that asserts if you do the following exercise you will find true love soon and one of them is similar to the one mentioned above, except it states you should mention their age, sexual orientation, proximity, and want their end goal for the relationship should be...marriage, open, wanting children, someone to fool around with, etc.

Thanks for the tip, I've read the book and it amazed me how similar exercises described there were to mine ''daydreaming''.
I didn't have any attention to manifest a soulmate, rather a friend who shares similar views on world with me and likes to debate and talk about deep subjects.
The person who came into my life a year after was the exact person I had in my mind all that time. Back then I didn't know of a loa, so I was thinking I am being crazy, I am imagining things...
Then I did something even more crazy. I put all scenes in my mind on paper (what I have imagined) and then the events, places, people, his family, his house, even his dog, conversations we started to have matched to my daydreaming perfectly, I knew what he would share with me even before he talked... Honestly, it freaked me out because I didn't know anything about the loa. Crazy, just crazy....
So, yeah, I would say this technique works...
Only one thing didn't match, and that was his looks, I imagined a different guy in my head...

I also had doubts should I be specific or more general when deliberately using loa (even opened a thread here about that), but to me having a lots of details feels better and I am more relaxed.

What I have learned from that experience is that you should really, really be sure in what you want. It will come true if you are being consistent.

Every morning I have specific visualizations that I do and then after that I just go about my day. It really depends up to the person. Some do morning and night, others just do it in the morning. Some people prefer to think about it all the time. I've found (and Napoleon Hill talks about this too) when there is something you really want, you don't have to force yourself into visualizing it constantly as you already think about it enough.

Also, something I would like to add. When you go about your day, go about it in with a positive attitude so that the vibrations you are giving off would be similar to what you would be giving off if your ideal life were happening right now. If you're in the same vibration, you have to attract it to you.

Last thing, when you visualize, make sure to do it for at least a minute or two. It takes on average 33 seconds for a concept to get impregnated into your subconscious. As over 90% of what you do is subconscious, you want your sub going to work on the positive images you give it.
Wow,amazing..I'll try Ashton Kutcher lol!
