D'oh! I read halfway through the thread and decided to make a wish (adding three safetys to it, to make sure nothing "Monkey's Paw"-ish happens), and then saw Angela's last post. Sounds like the old "you're in for a bad time but I can protect you for a fee" scam.

I deliberately skipped a day of going to the web page to see what message I would get. It told me that the ASTROLOGICAL alignment of my wish was broken. Like my not going to a web page has actually moved a planet.

As someone who's been interested in astrology for many years and is now starting to to study it more in-depth, I can tell you that makes no sense. That is incredibly funny.

I was only 10 minutes too late and got the same thing. But I never really thought of that it should mean that my not going to a web page seemingly moved a planet. Hahahaha, that is hilarious

I like the 'So many days left' page better though. I guess I'll go scavenge hunting for 8 e-mail adresses. I hate to bother people with this xP

The side actually glitched on me. Perhaps my intention for my 'karma' to be right changed something I only had to send one e-mail and then I got the regular site again.

So, well. My 8 days are over. I like how this site is kind of like the law of attraction we're taught. With affirmations like...

And if you've seen the 8 tasks, the 8th task is "The Power of Letting Go". I think I've seen that somewhere before...

Even though the site suggests that your wish will come out in eight days, the 8 tasks suggest otherwise. The last task is the task of releasing your wish, so that what you want can come to you. Essentially that means that it can take more than eight days for your wish to come true.

I personally felt that holding the thought of that the wish should come true in eight days added a negative load to it. You tend to count down the days and check if the wish has come true yet.

"Dang, the wish hasn't come true yet."
"Only 3 days left. I haven't noticed any differences so far... Will the wish come true?"
"It's over and the wish hasn't come true yet! I knew it was stupid all along!"

That sort of thing happens, in a variety of degrees. As you probably know, you reap what you sow, and here your thoughts being the seeds. That's why I started thinking differently of this wish thing.

I thought of it more as a series of attention-days. Or an Attention Marathon, that sounds kinda neat. For a set amount of days you'd consistently give your wish attention (in this case with a simple 'ritual'), and then you'd release the wish and let it come to you.

That's how I decided to see it anyway. I feel like it takes the negative load and bad expectations away

I did ask for something intangible, just to see how it would turn out after 8 days. And as is the nature of intangibility, something happened. But not too concrete. I counted it as a wish come true though.

OK guys, I have exceeded my expectations in one of my midterms. It was one of the wishes I had wished for on this site. And guess what? That was the only wish, that I hadn't visited for more than 24 hrs, and it gave me that warning. I just ignored it and deleted the bookmark

Yes, some 4 of my wishes came true. But, I was also doing IM and other stuff.

oh wow, there are a lot of posters on here! Glad I found this. I 100% believe it's real. I don't like people who ask for a million dollars and complain about how it doesn't grant wishes I hateee it when you have to through the paper away. haha it's only a paper but you feel attached to it. Plus when you let go of it I think the wish people stop watching you, and I actually don't mind being watched, I find it very thoughtful of them to spend their valuable time on someone like me...I'm gonna be sad when all the wishes have been granted.

Oh, and if you've ever noticed the numbers go down really slowly. The reason is simple: most people make incredibly greedy/selfish wishes, and you actually have to go on the page for 8 days. Most people don't..kinda sad.

A lot of people do not believe it's real. I've completely researched it. That website....is so supernatural...the terms of service are creepy though. They're allowed to kill us and not be liable ;D Also, on the last day. That writing. I'm pretty sure it's the ancient Egyptian language? I was unable to copy/paste it completely meaning that my computer does not have that language entered into it. I got a few characters? I put them into google and 0 results.

Has anybody here tried contacting them, and got a response?

I'm obsessed with this website...I want to know who or what is behind it. I doubt I will ever know. But that's okay.

They simply created the idea of "it'll happen in 8 days" because they want to people to look at the website. 8 days is actually a very short time. They say that so you can be drawn to it quickly. If they put the truth "your wish will probably come true in 4-5 months" do you think you'd still visit it for the 8 days? No. The 8 days are to put in your request, for them to track you down. To have them watch you and see if your wish should really be granted or not. To see if you're worth their time. Why grant a wish and put effort in if they're only going to visit for 1 day? I know it will probably be a while before it comes true, but just be patient. You have to actually believe it's real.

I went there, and thought, oh, hey, fun! So I wrote an 8 on a paper, put it in my pants pocket and forgot. Then i checked the website 2 days later.

It seems bit strange that if you don't follow through, the only way to "reverse" or set things right again is to publicize their website or give them money.

Etto...you are allowed to donate but you don't have to. Did you try refreshing your wish page? Might have had the "email 8 people" go away. I wouldn't know. Because I've never forgotten to go to it. I only emailed 8 people once. Never donated. Post occasionally. And the wishes still come true. But really, how else are they going to "punish" you? You're not supposed to skip days. It's pretty much the no.1 rule. Visit for 8 days. Emailing 8 people is kinda annoying and time wasting. So yeah it publicizing the website but what else are they supposed to do to make you not want to skip days?

Wow! It's amazing...I've really started to believe that website. Even though my wish hasn't manifested yet, I believe it will eventually. Like Nightfrost said, "it takes at least 4-5 months for anything real to manifest". I think patience and belief is the key. So, at the end they say that if your wish doesn't come true in 8 days you should stop thinking about and let go it. I'm kinda confused with that...I mean I still visit my wish page occasionally. Do you think that will affect the final results in anyway??

Yeah, after 8 days is that hardest. To clear your mind of it....ah. Makes it so hard. You can still talk about the website, but not think of your wish. Do not imagine in your mind the wish happening. It's more like, you have to just think of the present, do not think of the future. And no, visiting your wish page again does not affect it. The eyes symbolize how they can peer into your soul...so perhaps that's the only time you're allowed to think of your wish after the 8 days.

Also, has anybody here made 8 wishes? I myself have questions for anybody that does..yes, I know I'm a very selfish person for wishing 8 wishes -__-;

I think I kind of believe in the site, and it's starting to give me the creeps lol. So if I stop visiting my wish page will the only thing that will happen is my wish not being granted?

As an above poster said, it's okay for an 'attention' page. But otherwise it's based off fear and superstition. (I didn't get a loud sound btw, maybe my no-script is blocking it?)

I also noticed the random quotes on refresh are re-hashed quotes by famous people. No credit.

All in all I'd say use a vision board or something else that is more in tune to what you want to happen in your life. Wouldn't you rather be in control of your destiny than use superstition/fear and waiting on some 'magical' people to give you what they think you want?

hi all

i was searching on the internet information about this particular site,and i found this forum.
i decided to participe cause i have made some wishes there myself.

I did all the tasks.i believe and i didnt donate yet.

i must say that in my opinion all those wishes might have been granted not only cause of the wishes site,but through our Minds.
i´ve been reading the Secret book and i went to the testimonials in the wishes forum and said that same thing.Strangely my message was erased.

Some time passed,i posted another one asking if we had to donate.My message was erased again.

i contacted the site and asked why all my messages were all erased if i didnt ofended anyone and have said ( or did)nothing wrong.no answers.

time passed by and today i went to my wish page,the 8 days had already passed but i though to go there. As i opened the page and refreshed,something very odd and surprising happened: my face appeared in the screen.in black and white.my same expression as i was looking to the pc screen.

im not joking and i consider to be a specktical person when it comes to strange events-but i cannot find any racional explanation for it.

I prefer to think that might be a signal for my wish to come true very soon.

But again...when i posted this event in the board.my message was erased again.

So i ask: if the site is real ....why select the messages that appear????Why cant i post there if i am a good person?

Ditto!! same thing happened with me. My wish hasn't come true yet either. I posted on their forum asking if I had donate and other times I said that I believe that my wish will true. But i never said anything against the site. They erased all my messages. I haven't had anything strange happen yet. I'm not skeptical about my wish...it's definitely coming true. But I'm skeptical about this website. Well, hope your wish comes true!!

Its all rubbish - The site is only trying to make money out of it. Stupid you people - The site blackmails us to send email to 8 people and also open the site every day. This only gives the site publicity. It may be run by a teenager and all of us belive in it ?huh? How stupid some people can be. I've seen some other sites like this but they were much cleaner and angle like , not like this shabby horror site.

not only have I expaerianced many synchs over this website.....including the number 8, I find it very fitting that it was first posted in 10/19 which happens to be my number I recive.....infact I have done for three years, and thorugh again synchs, got lead to the bible LUKE 11.9 ask and ye shall recive.....
also the last time I looged on here...the last post had been at 1.19 and it was like this for three days....

The word power has also been comming through.....including a post I made about getting the story wizard of oz.....and dorothy power.....well just yesterday...I was driving to get coffee...and ended up behind a car with tags 8POWER.....what are the chances, especially as I had told a few Im getting a few synchs with 8s....

all in all...something is in the water.....

you have to understand......the website dosnt create the wishes...its a medium used by pple to aid in beleif...so it the persons own beleif that will create.....its a crutch...and quite frankly...hey what makes you beleive more then GO FOR IT!

I personally thought it was great..as is helped with my visual of sending my wish off to the univeerse....and I love playing with wishes.....

and great if the site makes some cash....they deserve it, its doing good....

My main gripe is that it seems kind of faithless to put a donation request in that context; it's like they're saying, "You can trust the Universe to help you, but I sure don't!"
