Default Specific intentions

hey everyone,

From my understanding of "The Secret" by Rhonda Bryne as well as "Law of Attraction" by Michael J. Losier one of the very first things to manifestation is to find out specifically what you want. It has to be something real specific such as instead of saying "I want to lose weight", something more specific would be "I want to lose 30 pounds".

With this I've been trying to "break-down" my intentions so that they aren't broad. I've found though that manifesting solid objects that I can feel or touch is easier than manifesting a relationship or friendship with a particular person which is my current intention. I don't know if "being friends" with someone is specific enough to manifest that reality.

If you're having a hard time manifesting non-solid things, like relationships, then you might want to brush up on your visualizing skills. You need to visualize yourself with the perfect friend, how does it feel, what do you do, have a pretend phone conversation with them, etc. You have to keep yourself in the right mindset to be able to manifest that perfect relationship.

dyakub - have you ever read "The Power of Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale? In that brief book there is a story about a woman whose marriage was failing. Every night for months she envisioned her estranged husband coming home and sitting in his favorite chair and being loving and caring. Night after night and week after week until one day there he was.

That is the short version.

But that story fits the concept of envisioning or using intention to create a relationship.

I recently needed to have contact with someone who was angry with me and refusing to respond to my e-mails about setting up a meeting so I could receive the work I had paid a significant amount of money for. I was frustrated and angry and every now and then the thought crossed my mind that I might have to take legal action. But I replaced those thoughts with a vision of her responding and coming to meet me with a pleasant continence. Within 10 days I received her e-mail and established a meeting which was conducted pleasantly and successfully.

I believe it works but I think that believing in it helps me be consistent and regular with it.

Perhaps you have more emotional attachment (and therefore more limiting beliefs and blocks) to relationships than you do to objects.

I found at the beginning that manifesting 'things' was a doddle, but bring in something that I felt strongly about and woah - different story alltogether.

For every distinct thing that you try to manifest, you will have a set of beliefs which you need to tweak to align yourself it. Get through this stage of the process and you will get what you want.

Hope this adds some value!

Hi dyakub,

It has to be something real specific such as instead of saying "I want to lose weight", something more specific would be "I want to lose 30 pounds".
...or refined even further you might say,

"I am easily and effortlessly weighing 130 lb." (Insert your desired weight)

You want to place your attention on the end result. Focus on what you want in the present moment. It can't be in the future or in the past. And while creating your desired self-image, feel the feelings you would feel while experiencing your new weight.

In NLP, the "feel or touch" is kinesthetic. This means that part of your strategy for manifestation has an outter "feel or touch". Without getting into a whole lot of NLP lingo, which won't help anyways, consider that the "feeling or touch" should be a part of your visualization.

When you close your eyes and create the image (through your own eyes) of your ideal weight, make sure to move your hands around to "feel and touch" the new you.

your probably right; I've been at this intention for about a month and week or two and haven't seen any results.

Remeber, you can't create results without action.

Thoughts > Feelings > Actions > Results

If you have followed the instructions to the first two steps, then you will come to a point where you feel impelled to take some specific action, an inspired action.

Have you taken an inspired action?
