today I am grateful for -strength in knowing that I am on the best course that I can be on right now -peace in knowing that I am responsible for my actions and noone elses' -return of my appetite -some (hopefully) healthy detachment -a panoply of choices...every moment -the feeling of shaky feet underneath me means that at least I am standing Last edited by jfrancis; 06-04-2009 at 07:38 PM. Today I am grateful for: Having the level of health I have Exciting new opportunities that even 3 weeks ago would never have crossed my mind. The fact that no matter what choice I do make it is the right one

-That I was able to break into my shed's jammed door with a knife after much "stressing"* over it. -I have this bad habit of wanting to check up on a site related to some past struggles (the site of someone out of my life who still affects me by affecting someone immensely close to me) . . . Anyway, even though I got the urge last night and this night, internet connection issues prevented me from doing as much. -That there were both ripe and green/hard organic avocados for me to choose from at the store. -I had the urge to go spend money during work on something snackish- But someone came into the office with muffins to share. -My check today was bigger than I expected. -I hung out with a psychic just twice (once, the first time that I met her during a group reading she did, and the second time to do some sketches of ghosts she described in an old hospital) . . . and she still saw fit to mention me as a "wonderful artist" on her site. *(I don't really "stress," anymore, but it was making it not so easy to be so sunny all the time, heh. [I had vehicle stuff I needed in order to be driving legally in there.])

My vocal chords. I'm finding how useful it is to just tell myself what I want. It feels like it's a better way to get my subconscious into shape, ha. (For instance, I found myself dwelling today so I said outloud, "Look, I don't want to be the kind of person who can't let go of those kinds of things. And if I'm doing it to nurse some silly need, then I can use my creative power to make a better situation that satisfies it instead of trying to handicap myself with it." And now I feel a lot more resolved.

- that I eat this delicious chocolate - that finally there is sun and it's warm outside - that I talked to a friend I wanted to talk to - that I have strawberries in my fridge when I get back home - that no matter how tired and desperate I get from time to time now, I still have the opportunity to get what I want, so I keep trying |

I am grateful for everyone's gratefulness It's so cool to read about what everyone else is grateful for. It's inspiring really. Ultimately I'm grateful for the opportunity to live life! I'm also grateful for the strength and faith to keep going (and succeeding) during tough and troublesome times. Your turn! |

| ![]() I'd never had eggplant parmigiana and it was yummy! I am also grateful that I got to celebrate my father's 65th birthday with him today. I am especially grateful that I no longer resent him. He's given me some amazing gifts and experiencing affection and warmth for him instead of hatred and bitterness is wonderfully freeing! |
