Default false humilty

I'm a few feet on my journey so apologise if I am a little opaque and befuddled.

I'm stuck with regards to intentions and manifestations in what has been called the false humility - I keep thinking who am I to ask for this (what ever it may be) and receive it. What questions do you need to ask yourself to get to the point in self esteem that means you think you CAN ask for what you want and not feel its disingenuous with your new spirit?

Intend to feel deserving of abundance. You'll get there.

In my humble opinion when you feel you need something, it should not be a request but a statement. Not "could things please be this way?", but "this is how it's meant to be, and it will."

The only humility comes with remembering that you're not smart enough to see how it's going to come about - but you know it will. How it will is none of your concern - sort of like a rich lady getting her Mercedes repaired. She doesn't ask the mechanic what parts he put on, she just says "make it so".

You might really need a million dollars for a good reason, say - maybe you won't hit the lotto, but maybe you'll see an ad in the paper for a good job, and tell a friend, and a number of years later he's worked his way to the presidency, and loans you a million dollars, LOL.

Anyhow keep it light, the Universe loves a Fool.

Does that mean I can honk posters on the nose, like I did in my chatroom days? Steve won't mind?

One question you might ask yourself: "Who am I NOT to ask for what I want and receive it?"

One of the most generous things you can do in this human game is to be gratefully accepting and receptive. Think of how good it feels when you give someone a gift that you know they really desire. Isn't it wonderful to see their faces light up, the joy apparent in their whole body? That's a great feeling, isn't it, to generate being the source of joy. It may, in fact, be one of the greatest joys, don't you think?

So, don't you think it would be stingy of you to deprive (others/The Universe/God/anyone else) of that wonderful feeling? You don't want to be one of those people who, when I tell you that you look terrific today, you respond with "Oh, no, I look awful!" (in other words, "no thanks for your gift of that compliment, and by the way, you're stupid!" )

When you untie the knot in the hose that prevents abundance from flowing into your life, you are also freeing up the flow of the abundance of who you really are: infinite joy, abundance, and power -- to move throughout the world. By allowing yourself to gratefully receive and accept, you are also generating gratitude, reception, acceptance (and joy, abundance, and power) for EVERYBODY.

So knock off the stinginess.

And welcome to the forums, by the way! Glad to have you here.

Imagination, my dear, imagination.

Simply pretend. Tell yourself it's just a game, a little piece of harmless daydreaming; there's no judge or God out there who's watching you and deciding whether you deserve or do not deserve this or that. All you're going to do is close your eyes for 15 minutes, breathe in and out, relax .....

... and VISUALISE, VISUALISE, VISUALISE ....

everything that you want!

^^ Agreed. I might suggest maybe using the imagination a little more vividly and getting lost in it. When you're thinking about how fun it would be to be healthy, wealthy, and wise - and all that - there is no questioning of "do I deserve this?" It's daydreaming for it's own sake. It's just, feeling good.

I'd suggest committing some of your visualizations to words, even just for now. For example, do it in story form - write a story of what you want to happen.

Something I find helpful is to write a "future article" about myself, in which I imagine a magazine following me around and detailing my successes. It gets you to put a lot of detail into what you want, and if you let yourself just write it's easy to get lost in it. After I do that, I always feel the "future-pull" of a well-visualized intention.

Thank you all for what you have said, I have a small index card with some of your words on now and I will carry it with me to keep it at the forefront of my mind to help get me to the tipping point.
