Default Intention Manifestation with Deadline

In Steve's post about the millionaire intention, part of the statement goes "in its own perfect time". I was thinking of adapting it toward getting straight A's in my four classes next semester at the University. I though of modifying the intention of getting a million dollar statement and wanted to know if it would mess up the intention if I set a deadline.

Here is what I wrote for the intention for straight A's.

"In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, for the highest good of all, I intend to get straight A's in my classes this spring semester."

I'd appreciate any feedback.

The words have to work for you - that's the main thing IMO. There are a few other threads on here about wording intentions. I personally find the million dollar intention wording just too long for me, and I lose focus.

It would be pointless you doing well next semester in a year's time, so add the words about timing. It's important and clearly states what you want.

The other important point, as dECLAN said somewhere else today, is to ask yourself, "Who do I need to BE for this to be true?". And make yourself that person.

joy and success to you!

I'm far from being anything of an expert on IM - but just thinking about your question "logically" - I'd say that the trade-off of putting deadlines in intentions is that they may make the fact of "knowing" it'll happen harder and thus impair the manifestation.
Having no deadline gives more freedom to the conditions of the manifestation and thus makes it generally easier to believe.
However if what you really want implies a deadline, it's not a reason not to intend it anyway.
I wish you success!

I find that including a time frame or deadlines can act like a counter intention and actually sabotage the manifestation.

I have suggested elsewhere in this forum that in the realm of the unmanifest time collapses and ceases to exist as we know it. When you go to the source of all creation through meditation or by deeply focusing on an intention you are actually operating within this timeless realm.

For some intentions there needs to be an infinite number of processes that are set up behind the scenes in order to create the right conditions for its manifestation. Creating a deadline would be a bit like mistrusting the whole process or creating artificial conditions for its manifestation.

ive read a book about cosmic ordering and in it they say its perfectly fine to place deadlines. as an example, one of my housemates was moving out earlier this year and we were to be without a wireless router for a month. knowing nobody who has one to lend, i intended to get a wireless router by the end of the week. it was mid week then, i was skeptical myself, but it did work out! i suppose it all depends on wether you will think negatively about it or not because of the deadline, thereby sabotaging the manifestation. if you will, then practice trusting.

Actual, and efficient, learning would probably help too, in order to get these A's.

We all have different ideas and opinions.....just read through this thread

And I am going to give you mine.

First of all, here is your intention:

"In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, for the highest good of all, I intend to get straight A's in my classes this spring semester."

Honestly ask yourself about the first 3/4 of that...."in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, for the highest good of all".....what is that all about???? (I think I know because I've read that attached to so many manifestations around here)

But I think you should get to the CORE of what you want and forget some of the flowery lingo and rules.

You want to accomplish these A's by this term...right? And there is a DEADLINE to this term right? ABSOLUTELY...then manifest it!!

Are you going to need to study for these A's? I think so!

My opinion is to create both an intent and a manifestion together...such as...

(I'm all over SPECIFICS....and they work. My advice to you (and I sorta know what I'm talking about because I'm OLD ) is to go from you heart. Say what you mean...and not what others tell you is the right way.So here is 1 variation...but you'll need to tweak it to fit YOU.)

"By studying hard in Biology, British Literature, Calculus and American History, I receive A's in all 4 classes. I spend the time necessary to accomplish this. My studying time is intense and focused. With easy, I recall what is needed to receive 90% or above on each test or quiz. It is an incredible feeling of satifaction to receive A's in these core classes."

I could go on and on...and tweak this 1000 different ways.

Last advice: Go from your heart...feel it, imagine it and think of the steps needed to accomplish it. Say it daily (or record it and listen to it daily)

Don't get bogged down by too many rules on what is Right or Wrong. trust your gut. I think an deadline is absolute appropriate.

my 10 cents

I'm just starting out at I-M, and I've often wondered about putting time limits on manifestations. I've come to the conclusion that there's no reason why you can't manifest something within a certain length of time - manifestation is a tool for our living after all, and time is a part of our life. However, for the apprentice manifester without much experience at manifesting anything let alone something within a time limit, it might add more of a challenge onto the manifesting. However I see this being more of a problem only if you try to manifest something against the tide your realistic expectations *today* or "in three days time", rather than manifesting something entirely reasonable (eg straight As, after all people get straight As all the time) in 6 months time when it's exam time.

On a different note, my dad used affirmations to help him when he was studying. Every day on his drive to and from work (which was a fairly lengthy drive) he would say to himself (in rather emotive tones, which he now jokes about but hey whatever floats your boat) "I am an EXCELLENT student, I ALWAYS score AT LEAST 90% in ALL my exams". That worked well and he got great marks in his first semester, but it was really hard work so he added "and I do so with great ease" on the end for the next semester. It worked a treat, he got his good marks and he did so with great ease

I recommend you do listen to the people here who say you have to study. If you want excellent test results, it makes sense to study for what you're being tested on. However, there's no reason why you can't use I-M/affirmations to make your studying fun and easy.
