Default The case for letting go

As posted before, I'm leaning toward IM working best if the intention is cast to the wind, then pretty much forgotten about. There's more to it than that, but amongst all the posts in here you'll get the idea. Steve P. also mentions it, recently in a blog post about acquirig money.

I finally got around to reading The Zero Point Field. I noticed that in one set of experiments, they found that men, who they determined focus intently on the work at hand, got more accurate hits than women. However, the women, who were less focused and often multitasked during the experiment, showed more powerful effects on the experiment's object.

This seems to bolster my thinking on IM. If the unconscious (or is it subconcious?; I'm not very science-minded) operates most basically at the quantum level, it would make sense that the best results would be had from that level. And, perhaps trying to use the conscious mind creates confusion and interference with the cohesiveness of the quantum-level energy.

Forgive me if there's a flaw in my logic...I don't do logic very well. I operate in a fairly murky mental universe and have to rely on intuition more than I'd like.

I wish I was further along the "path" so I could help you out with the topic, but I would like you to know that you don't come off as murky to me

Thanks. Maybe it just looks murky from this side of the persona - I often arrive at conclusions and don't quite know how I got there.

It actually sounds to me as if you're at the level of "tuning" I aspire to. I look forward to conversing with you

Plenty of people do it this way, and I can see the advantages... especially if your mind is noisy and skeptical.

This is pretty much the chaos magick sigil approach, as far as I can tell. They seem to do their best to avoid the conscious mind getting in the way. So, a chaos magician will create several intentions and encode them into sigils. Then, only once they can't remember which intention is which, will they perform the rite to charge a sigil to bring it into reality. After the sigil is 'charged,' they throw it away and try to forget they've even done anything.

I'm a woman, and I also think the letting go part of intention works best. BUT I have a real hard time letting go. I think about what I love and absolutely love doing affirmations etc. Can't get it out of my mind. So any tips on letting go easier are much welcome!

You're very kind...it's hard to think of oneself as being at any particular level. It's like saying, "Wow, I made to the Moon!", when the destination is Alpha Centauri. The ever-receding horizon.

We were given the dimension of "time" for a reason, I guess. Time is what it takes. Time and patience.

I've enjoyed your posts and I also look forward to learning from you.

Don't worry, I'm not putting you or anyone else on a pedestal (and for that reason I'd like to think it's no coincidence you're a "fellow traveler"!). I see us not as being on a scale, but more like a pie chart!

I want to get to where I see things from a perspective similar to yours. My intuition's just fine, but somewhere in the past I got into the habit of inadvertently blocking it, and now I want to set it free again.
