I've just started a few days ago with LOA, read the Abraham-Hicks LOA book and was very confident that I can do this easily, I mean how difficult is it to leave out the doubt and just be joyful and totally confident that it will happen. I was positive all these days, but now that I'm dealing with one specific issue that I want it solved, whenever I'm thinking about that issue, all sorts of doubts come in to my mind. I try to squash them and think something else, but then they come back disguised under all sorts of rational (or not so) thoughts. Then I realised it's not all that easy as I first thought it would be I know I'm only at the beginning of this very exciting journey, so it takes time to change my thoughts and remove the doubt from my intentions, but still, how do you actually do this, i mean practically? Ok my personal little 'goal' or intention is this. Basically a few weeks ago I called a printing company to organize me some business cards. The girl said that end of next week they'll come back to me with a quote, etc, as right now everybody is on holidays. Now that was about 3 weeks ago. Today I just remembered about this, so I said 'aha, now a real tangible goal that I can go for (sorry, I keep saying goal instead of intention Yes, I could also call them up and remind them about it, or maybe search for another printing company, but I wanted to try out LOA in a real 'case scenario', with a real outcome and that's why I didn't want to take those steps. To be honest I find the "smaller stuff" the hardest to manifest. Phonecalls, emails etc like you've mentioned. I don't know why, but the doubts seem to pop up more and more with the smaller things for me.Better to intend big and let the universe handle the smaller stuff actually. But since you have the book I recommend you do some exercises there on lowering your resistance to the business cards. And do some "wouldn't it be nice" statements about it. See how it feels |

Imagine sitting in a dark room and wanting it to be light, you can visualise, feel the feelings, imagine it happening right now. But it's better to just get up and switch the light on! You know how to resolve this, you pick up the phone or send an email. I use LOA when I can't work out the how. For example, I wanted to move to Spain, but had no idea where to start or what to do. A week later, the perfect job in the perfect place was advertised, I applied, got the job, and six months later I was there. By all means start with the little things, but try little things that you don't know how they would happen. The blue feather experiment is almost a cliche now, but worth a try. How about intending to find money next time you're out. But if you know the how, and there are no major obstacles in the way, just do it! |

I too have problems with doubts creeping in although I know this stuff works When I catch my mind obsessing with a doubt or doubts - I stop myself and tell myself a story. "shortly I will receive an email with the quote I asked for. It will be for just what I want at a very reasonable price. I will receive the product quickly and will be very satisfied". And then I let it go (actually visualize releasing it like a carrier pigeon" - throwing it up into the air and watching it fly off like a bird. Then I go take a dose of White chestnut flower and forget about it. because the chewing I do on myself full of doubts is often obessive thinking. well it works for me |

Doubt and trust are thoughts usually amplified by emotion. No one can maintain positve thoughts 24/7. Of course it's of no help to be mostly negative, but take a step back outside of thought and see all your thoughts for what they are......tools. The trick is to not get lost in them. You can have a thought, but it's another thing to let the thought have you. Because thoughts are amplified by emotion, take the emotion out of the thought, then you'll see it for what it is. I've found I can manifest as well if not better by removing emotion. Emotion amplifies a positive thought, but you can't turn it off and on when doubt creeps in. Emotion is wonderful to help focus, but it is very powerful and if you're using it to support thought, then that same level of emotion will be preset for any bad thought that comes along. Unfortunately ego is powered by emotion, so your ego won't like you dropping the emotional tools that aid in amplification. Judge |
