| Right I'm having a little difficulty understanding the nature of IM. If I don't believe IM works, then the universe will supposedly grant my belief that it won't work. Yet people are still developing personally from hardwork. There is a problem. |

| There's no problem at all and there is in fact no contradiction. It is just IM at work. People who develop personally from handwork believe they achieve results by doing so, and so universe makes it so that it works for them. So you see, this is a result of IM at work.

| That's right. IM always works. If you say that IM doesn't work, the universe makes it so for you. One thing though. What those people usually reject is using the mind as a way to manifest that what you want, not necessarily the whole concept of IM, which basically is about achieving results. They however do believe that by performing manual labour they can achieve results, and by believing and expecting so, they are using the universe's laws, and the universe will bring that what they want.

| I completely by-pass L.O.A ideas and concepts when experimenting with this. It's so easy for doctrines and idealogies to develop around this, and from my opinion, it gets in the way. For example, have you ever heard of ancedotes and stories about someone being 'skeptical at first' but tried it anyway, and thenb achieve 'astounding results'.. here is an example I found on a site; Quote:
law of attracting meetup Quote:
Whereas someone believes from the start, gives it a good try, pictures the results with joyful feelings and they say nothing has happened. It can be confusing, and the feelings that your doubts block everything only makes it worse. And since it's hard to verify this for a lot of people, ( doubts are blocking it, karma is in the way, you attract what you don't want) it only makes it more confusing. So my approach (for me) to I.M is to not rely on L.O.A concepts and find a resonable I.M method that's worth testing out, then test it out, work with it. Not to be so afraid of doubts since they are normal, just continue practicing and pushing, and ask and challenge yourself why it didn't work until you get some reasonable answer. And if it doesn't work, don't be afraid to stop it and try something else. Take care... Last edited by nightdiamond : 06-23-2008 at 09:38 PM. |

| Noooo not for you, waxfrog, you're fine! But in the case of I.M, you would want to find a technique that sounds reasonable with at least a fair amount of various real people attesting to how it works. With I.M we might never get 100% absolute clinical proof, so experiences of other people can be used to make a decision to test it out, and as long as the technique sounds reasonable and not for example, superstitious, mythical, relying on debunked evidence- ect... |

I know, waxfrog, I'm a skeptic myself, but in cases like these you might want to look at it this way; skeptic's opinion vs. my own experience. As long as there is no way a skeptic can verify the process of I.M specifically happening, they're going to doubt it's real. As long as it doesn't happen 100% of the time exactly as intended, then they will also doubt it. And you know what? I can't blame them. If you tell someone that they can't manifest what they want because their past karma is blocking it, how do you verify that? How can you see their karma? How do you see the karma blocking and preventing the manifesting process from happening? So for example, my approach is to understand that, and go ahead experimenting and testing or just doing it for fun. When you get a result, and it really, really seemed beyond coincidence, then you can choose to believe it worked. You have your own evidence, and have proved it for yourself And if you can repeat those results regularly, then so much the better, you don't need a skeptic's approval to believe in something like I.M. Wer'e dealing with thoughts, feelings, subtle energy, astral stuff, and it's very hard to get a predictible pattern out of this stuff. Think about about having lucid dreams for example- they're real, but just- unpredictible. And yet when they happen, the result can be very interesting, like finding the solution to the first sewing machine, medical and scientific discoveries, ect. How did the mind know how to come up with the exact solution for the sewing machine without any ideas? Even if skeptics suddenly jumped up and said, 'maybe there is something to this after all', it still doesn't mean it will be easy for you to believe in it. But proving something for yourself just might... Take care...nice response waxfrog..... |
