Smile Completely out of ideas

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I now have some money coming in, worked something out, so I'm editing-out the original post.

Depending on where you live there are many ways you can make a little cash (which is what it seems like you need).

Now if you are looking for financial freedom then you have to realizze that sometimes not everything is going to go your way. Right now you may be in a setback but you probably still have a lot of options - you may have given up hope too easily.

To me it sounds like you're pretty young (19-28 years old), so you still have plentyl of time left to recover from any debt as well as make your dream of being financially free come true.

I would reccomend that you get a part time job or do small chores to keep yourself afloat for now. Then I would look into finder's fees and MLM.

Now I know that finder's fees is a fairly good oppurtunity for making money.

MLM will not give you a lot of money unless you really put your whole heart and soul into it. But MLM will give you the training and experience in business that will make your next venture much easier to run and much more successful.

Hope this helps!

With all respect Nelson, I would never recommend MLM

Now Dave, sounds like you're in a spot! It'd be good to know the skills that you have that you can market and apply yourself to create value in the workforce.

If you really need the dough, why not a temp part-time job in the mean-time to tide you over?

P.S. Sorry to hear about the missed job offer, but I'm sure it's making room for something even better to come

Those people in the movie didn't make their millions selling the secret. One of the men told how his millions unfolded, Chicken soup for the soul.

Not all of them said they were millionares either. They are probably well off at this point, and as the secret takes off, I'm sure they will be all millionares.

They didn't say they were talentless, or had no skills. They are pretty well educated, and many people are, but these live their paticular lives by applying, the secret, as well as holding the philosophy of the secret. which is love, gratitude, faith, tolerance, etc...basically all the fruits of The Holy Spirit.

Look. Really great things, of value and worth can take at least nine months to give birth to. Like having a baby. Plant the seed, and it grows. You take care of what has to be taken care of, until the blessed day of it's birth.

You intended etc...for several weeks? Looks like you had a miscarriage, possably or that particular job wasn't going to really fulfill your deepest intentions.

It may have ended up being a diversion (waste of time) to have that job, as much as you may need one now. Keep at it, if you want this baby to be born. Keep at it.
And meanwhile, be very grateful for your parents, for that so-called (what did you call it? piece meal?) contribution to your life.

I've been intending, in this more aware, LOA method since October 14th, and let me tell you. I can see it working. I'm still just a cashier/goat rancher, but let me also say, I am wittnessing the unfolding of my paradise, in ways I was not expecting.
I think it is because I am holding my intentions with very much, (profound recognition) of all my default manifestations of the past. I've taken full responsability, and I suspended all judgementalism on myself and all others.

Intend for the highest good of all. Go to your parents and tell them how grateful you are, and see if they can put their efforts with yours in your intention. Take it to the next level.
I know you can do it.

Default Thanks!

Thank you three so much for the insight. If any others are out there, I welcome your advice as well.

I particularly like the idea of my failure to get that job as a 'miscarriage' on my way to giving 'birth' to what I really want in life. Also, dorothy, you're probably right... I should definitely be more grateful for the safety net my parents have been offering me without asking for anything in return (except for returning to college, which I'll be doing in a month).

I may even call my dad tomorrow morning and explicitly tell him how much his support means to me.

Thanks and good night. Enough self-improvement for one 24-hour time period, I believe.

Ati, click the bold B above the text box.

Or, to do it manually, type out [ B ] and then all the text you want bolded. To end the bold text and revert to normal, close it with [ / B ]

When you actually do this there should be no spaces between the [ and the B or the ] and the B -- I just did that so it wouldn't automatically bold text, so I could show you.

Hope that helps

Hmm... I clicked the bold just once before writing, let's click it again at the end of this sentence Yah, that should work ...

I should play around with the other stuff...

>>my parents are giving me some money to get by, but it's very piecemeal and this makes me feel helpless and depressed.

Good incentive to get busy and change things.

>>For several weeks I thought exclusively about what I wanted in life versus all the stuff I no longer wanted.
Donald Trump didnt become successful because he "thought" about what he wanted. He worked hard and smart.

>>until next week when I found out they offered the position to someone more qualified.
Happens all the time, dont take it personally. I've been in both positions, the interviewer that had to choose among candidates, and the interviewee that really wanted the spot, but got passed over.

It's all a learning experience.

>>My lack of financial freedom makes me physically sick.
Not good. Stress is a killer. End the cycle.

If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting.

Get a job. Doesnt have to be your dream job, do something to get a positive cash flow going and get you back on your feet money-wise.

Take some time to let things settle and find some balance.

What's your education? If it's lacking, get out there and get what you need. You sound like an intelligent person, nothing is beyond your ability. But you need to approach this with a reality check. Get stable, move forward, get stable, move forward.

Try not to focus to much on what you "only have" (only 200.00), this can be quite difficult... But rather just imagine what you would like to have, and try to imagine that you already have it (start small with say like 50.00) starting small will build your confidence in your ability to attract what you need and want... I'm going to reccommend a great book that I just got done reading, it's called:
Secrets of creative visiualization by Phillip Cooper (ISBN #1-57863-102-5) you should be able to get it from the local library (for FREE). Visualizing is very important in attracting what you want, and the good news is your already doing this, (you may just not be aware of it, or of what you're visualizing). Don't worry (at all) trust that it will all work out.

I'm working with my 18 yr old nephew to get a little residual income going to supplement his loans for university next year. I suggested he start a few blogs on blogspot and slowly try to build traffic to them. Afterwards, with any luck, he should be able to make a few dollars with adsense.

This is the only way I know of that an average person can create income with no investment or particular talents. All you need to do is start a few free blogs, get some incoming links, and write some content.

I'm proof that, with a lot of dedication, a little talent, and hard work, anyone can start and maintain a novice web publishing business.

I started a few years back and made pennies for the first 10 months while I built my content and back-links. I almost gave up on several occasions. After a year, things started snowballing. Now I make enough to pay for half my living expenses.

Keep in mind; this wasn't all done through free blogs and adsense, though I would still make a few hundred a month today, just using blogspot.

The point I’m trying to make is that there is always a solution to a problem. I don’t consider myself a writer or web designer, yet I make a modest income from my sites.

If you can learn from your mistakes, be original, work hard, and don’t take no for an answer, your break will come.

I'm not so sure I would agree with that compadre.

I've read all of his books, and they're filled with examples of Trump visualizing scenarios in great detail. I don't remember a single story about him working hard.

Long hours in the office creating and poring over plans? Yes.
Endless meetings with bankers, boards, etc.? Yes.
Non-stop envisioning? Of course.

I guess it depends on how you define 'work.'

I would argue that he spends a great deal of his time in thought - probably most of his time. He visualizes, he believes it will be done, and he takes inspired action. That is the actual definition of LoA, compadre.

On the flip side, I doubt that he's ever had to lance a blister on his hand as a result of too much hard labor.
