This is a good idea, create a FAQ sticky with links to the most commonly asked questions (linking to the threads). Perhaps the mods would agree...

Now that his "magic-believing miracle-woo-woo Law of Attraction creates everything in my life and I can manifest anything sometimes without even taking action" butt is gone, you're gonna miss him.

You un-manifested him.

So I'll take my leave now - I'm sure I'll be back, just not anytime so soon. Maybe next year.

Happy thinking!

Hiya!

Hi everyone:

Just dropped by to read your goodbye messages. Nice to know that I've inspired some of you.

As I said, I'll be back. For now, I just want to focus on exploring the LOA and learning more about it. Here are some intentions that I expect to be working on in the next 6 to 9 months:

New Job

Some of you may recall that in February 2008, I manifested for more money (I asked for $5,000) and received a new job offer out of the blue, the very next day. I hemmed and hawed over it for a few months, and finally accepted it in May. The monthly salary is $4,500 more than my previous job. I will be starting on the new job on 30 June.

By the end of 2008, I will have only worked six months in this new job. Nevertheless I will be manifesting for myself to be paid bonuses equivalent to the average of what everyone else is getting, for working a full year.

Poetry Book

Some of you may also recall that I had written a poetry manuscript and had manifested for a publisher. A willing publisher appeared in the same week that I did the manifestation.

I will be manifesting for the smooth progress and completion of this project. Right now, we have to work on matters such as cover design; editing the manuscript; marketing strategy etc.

Also I will be manifesting for the book to become critically acclaimed and award-winning. To ensure that the people who buy it will actually read it, I will also be manifesting for some schools and colleges to select it as a literature text for their students. That way, they will just HAVE to read it, in order to pass their exams.

Wisdom, Joy and Peace

These are three usual things which I have often asked for in my LOA sessions. I will continue to ask for them on a regular basis. Wisdom, in particular, will be important as I continue to improve on my technical abilities with the LOA. Wisdom is necessary to guide me to choosing the most appropriate intentions for myself and the people around me.

The Other Blog

Some of you know that I have a quite-popular blog, devoted to commentaries on social, political and economic issues in my country. Recently, a newspaper in my country has been organising a national blog awards competition and my blog was nominated for the award in one particular category.

I have IM'd for my blog to win this award. One reason I want to win this award is so that I can mention it in the "About the Author" section of my upcoming book.

My Kids & The Rosenthal Experiment

The Rosenthal experiment is a famous experiment by Harvard psychologist Robert Rosenthal. In this experiment, young children had their IQ tested. Their teachers were then given the fake results. As a result, these tachers mistakenly believed that some young children were particularly bright and some were particularly dull.

Eight months later, the children's IQs were retested. The teachers' false beliefs had indeed translated into actual reality. Children who were believed to be particularly bright indeed displayed a clear increase in IQ (compared to their earlier scores) while children who were believed to be dull displayed a decrease in IQ scores.

(Note - all the children had been taught in the same classroom environment; given the same lessons in English, Maths, Art, Music etc; used the same textbooks etc).

Anyway I have had some previous success replicating the experiment for my kids. For example, back in December 2006, I had manifested that my kids were extraordinarily bright, and by February 2007, the principal of my little girl's school was calling up to recommend that my little girl be transferred to a class meant for older children.

I will be redoing this particular experiment with my kids - to make them extraordinarily bright across a range of different mental abilities (using Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences model as a guide).

The Rosenthal Experiment and Myself

In another interesting twist on the Rosenthal experiment, I will be running some self-hypnosis sessions. While in a hypnotic trance, I will be giving myself suggestions that I am extraordinarily brilliant; possess an outstanding memory; am excellent in problem-solving; am highly creative and innovative etc. Let's see how that works out.

Others

There were some examples. There will be others. I will be recording progress on my personal LOA blog as usual. If interested, do drop by from time to time:

I have often read that a person desiring success should spend time with successful people. I'm not sure if a "telepresence" counts, but I am going to keep that advice and remain 'joined at the hip' not only here, but also to the MM blog

Well, I hope you drop by again since I didn't include my thanks to you earlier.

It's been a pleasure and very informative to interact with someone who is both open minded and not a starry eyed true believer at the same time. Happy Manifesting, ALG...

Hi ALG. Just had a look at your personal LoA blog - excellent. Sounds like you've got a bit of an 'old school' developing there! I was glad to see RT Wolf and Uplift were in touch. I especially remember Uplift's amazing posts about a year ago. You'll have Max Power and Shamou showing up next!

Perhaps, forum membership activity goes in cycles - with members who have joined around the same time, clustering in groups, then after about a year or so, they move one.

Best wishes for your hopes and intentions in the future.

Cantando.

Synchronicity - I ran across the name "Naseeruddin Shah" and wanted to jog my memory as to who this is. Reading the Wikipedia article, I learned that among other things, the actor by this name appeared in a stage adaptation of ... "Waiting for Godot"!
