Like try as hard as you can to not judge the process, try to "trick" yourself into believing that it's true..........Just totally immerse your subconscious mind with your number. Play with like doing 1,000 affirmations of "$347,250 is now flowing into my life easily." or something.

Then, after a while... just leave it be, and don't focus on it anymore... switch to something totally small... like.... manifesting a four leaf clover or something... or a wink from a pretty girl... or something "free" and supposedly easy to get.
I find the more we make LoA a game for fun, rather than something we do as a chore the more it works.
Do something most people wouldn't do....Like... write out your $$$ figure you want on 10,000 post it notes and cover the walls of an entire room with it.
Or set an alarm clock and try visualizing for 3 hours straight focusing on your number....
Just do something "different" to stimulate your imagination and to "prove" to your subconscious mind that you really want this specific dollar figure.
Anyways, just some suggestions you might want to try.
This is very creative indeed impaul99 so much so that it actually gave me a kick to respond which i rarely do ... can you suggest something as creative as this in attracting a specific person; I know IM doesnt encourage the idea but i would like to play with it anyhow

Hey there Wax Frog. When you visualize your life with $5M, what do you SEE? Is it a big pile of money in a vault that you can go swimming in like Scrooge from Duck Tales? Is it a huge mansion in Hawaii with a loyal staff and fast cars? Is it founding a philanthropic endowment for some cause near and dear to your heart? Most people say that imagining a dollar amount isn't exciting enough or motivating enough to actually attract it, that you have to give more substance to your vision.

Did you buy the book yet? I bought it a couple of days after seeing the mention on this thread and have been slowly working my way through it.

I have a very specific vision, though it's a bit "corny" in some ways. I guess I should get back to visualizing this regularly in my IM meditations?

Nope I have spent the last few days "arting" like mad, sending out the "message" that I AM AN ARTIST! And I will post the result (is there a board area for art, or can I just do it here?)

Being that you are an artist, why not create your specific (corny) visualization of 5 million as a piece of art?

It just struck me odd that in the first statement your meditating on something and then in the second statement your creating something else... wouldn't it make sense to put these together? Or maybe your already doing that. I don't know what you are making.

Oh WaxFrog, do tell. I was just reading about the 17 second Abraham-Hicks process. The poster said that they try to do this with a friend because it's really hard to get 17 seconds of pure thought directed towards a desire.

I like impaul's suggestions. Do whatever it takes to impress it upon your mind and have fun with it. Write it down, tell someone the story, make believe, draw a picture, start a site. Just have major, major fun with it and impress it upon your brain.

I met a guy this morning doing that. This stuff works.

I did a picture of money rain once, when I first learned about the Secret. Naturally, my millions didn't come, and I went through a major funk. It was shortly after this that I read "The Intention Experiment", and had my faith restored via the sober tone and less grandiose claims of the latter. I hesitate to do another such image, as it might trigger memories of 'failure'.

I could attempt a pic of my intented fantasy work-at-home cabin, but that will be a major undertaking (or at least this is what my damaged psyche insists). What I am working on is a representation of a scene from one of the precious few lucid dreams I have had...

I've done one other LD-based image; I suppose now is as good a time as any to "show off" the Medusa-like figure is one I'd encountered in a dream 10 years prior; I managed to summon this "Oracle" up, but it played coy and delayed answering my questions until I 'broke' my lucid state with overexcitement:

When I first read this process in the book, it jumped out at me because 17 seconds is the name of a song/album I like by the cure. So I knew I'd remember it. Maybe an hour later I turned on my iPod, put it on random shuffle and the song 17 seconds came on. (I have over 12,000 songs on this iPod).

Anyway "17 seconds to 68 seconds of enlightenment" or whatever it is. Isn't it weird that 17 seconds of deliberate thought is difficult? Goes to show how much our brains are bouncing all over the place.

(edit--a song called 17 just came up on the pod right now)

I didn't see the link until I went to respond... she looks like she doesn't give a hoot.

I understand what you are saying. After the secret, I called a friend and told her I was going to write a story using LOA. She said, "Let me guess. It's about a guy who gets exactly what he wants just be thinking about it." The smart allec reply immediately dissuaded me from writing such a thing.

In art, people like to see something individual, but at the same time something that includes them. If that makes any sense. Like if I wrote a story about a guy getting everything he wanted in a curious way, that would be interesting.

In other words, 5 million dollars has to be tailored made to you. To me, it might look like Medusa's severed head flying through the sky on a unicorn with one matted eye.

Just a thought...

The owner of a pro-team fan board I frequent recently added an arcade, and I'm finding I have a knack for the craps game; is this by any chance a garbled manifestation? I don't want to jump to unwarranted conclusions

I've read a few of these books and it is the one I keep going back to. The audio book is very simple conversational style, nothing technical, no notes to take. Just listen. You can't do better than that.

If you do, let us know what you think.
B&N didn't have the audio version, and I didn't feel like waiting, so I got the print version. I also had my eye caught by "...Deliberate Intention" and got that one too!

Cool. I got the print version first as well.

Make sure to post your observations about it.

I'm re-reading deliberate intention right now. Ask and it is given is the "centerpiece" though. All their books are really worth reading.

I was vacillating between the two - "Should I get the recommended one or the cheaper one?" - then finally decided to go the 'abundance' route and get both!

After ask and it is given, I'd personally read "law of attraction". It'll take ask and is given and reiterate a lot of it.

Anyway this is a lot of books... so enjoy AAIIG and post what you think.

I figured if AAIIG was as good as advertised, I'd want some follow up - I'm a voracious reader when the material's worthy of the attention. The phrase "deliberate intention" really stood out for me, as I'd been careful to use it in my posts lately.
