| Law of Attraction is about manifesting intension and Astrology is about anticipating future based on various criteria |
| |||
| As someone who works with both, here's my perspective on them: The Law of Attraction (LoA) by its definition as a law is always at work (just like the Laws of Gravity). Astrology, being a personalized timetable for the interplays of energy an individual can tap into (an energetic weather forecast, if you will), can enhance a person's work with the LoA by making them aware of the energies at the moment. For instance, if the weather anouncer predicted rain in the morning, you might bring an umbrella along when you left the house. Similarly, with astrology, you can learn when to pack "an umbrella" vibrationally or when you'll have some energetic "tailwinds" to help up towards your manifestations. Or identify some areas to "clean up" to assist one with their manifestations. A good astrologer can accurately predict events from a person's chart, not because those events are written in stone ("The stars imply; they do not compell") , but because most people aren't aware of how to work with things such as the LoA or willing to do the work required to transcend their childhood programming. It's my belief (desire?) that the goal of modern-day astrology is to help people transcend their charts. Hope this helps. |

| given the nature and power of beleif you could make the connections as real as you choose to. Like all beleif systems they can be helpful if used in the most beneficil way with an understanding of of where the true power liesm within the individual, dave |

| I never actually thought about transcending the chart. I know astrology and LoA well, but I never really put the two together (deep down, I know it all fits together somehow..but I never made the connections at face value). I think at this point I am evaluating different things in my chart, seeing how those energies play out in my life, and learning to control and redirect those energies. Is that what you mean by transcending? Also, how is it possible to use astrology and LoA together. I do use them a lot at different times....but never as one

That's one way of working with the LoA and astrology together. An astrologer can identify areas in the chart (and some tools appropriate for that client) that might need to worked on in order for the LoA to work more efficiently for a client (e.g., challenging money aspects in the natal chart). Another way of working with them together is to use the LoA to shore things up in the coming environment. Like lining up good advisory team in anticipation of a growth in business or attracting the positive elements of an aspect. Every aspect has its positive side and its less-positive side, so why not attract the positive aspect? (Example: Mercury retrograde, which we're just finishing up now, has the reputation of a time of travel/communications/electronic SNAFUs but it can be a time of house-cleaning, revision and release.) As I'm writing this, all sorts of memories (from my astrologer days) are popping into my head, the possibilities as endless as each of our individual charts. I hope I answered some of your questions and gave you some food for thought as you work with your own chart. Enjoy. |
