Hello to all, I recently bought the cds of Ask and It is Given, which I really like. SO much better than the book, in my opinion. In it, Abraham explains the process of manifestation, which I found really helpful. My interpretation of it, in brief, is this (which really works for me). (My full blog post about it is here: Process of manifestation You are in a state of being in which you don’t want to be. You are far, or feel far, from where you want to be. your first step in manifesting your intention is to state your intention. Figure out WHAT you want, and then state “I want this life” or “I want X”. That’s simple, wherever you are in your life, you can at least state what you want. Now, this first thought is weak, because you do not yet have the belief that you can have what you want, and so you don’t have the full power of all your emotions behind you. But, fortunately, the Law of Attraction works in a snowball effect way. Your first weak thought will attract another thought of the same vibration, i.e. the vibration of “I want x”. This second thought may also be weak, but now you have two weak thoughts together. These two weak thoughts will then attract another positive thought, this time bigger, and so on and on, stronger and stronger as your mind slowly starts to belief that what you want may be within your reach. How cool. Now, this is where you have to ensure that you keep layering on these good thoughts. In the cds, Abraham talks about taking 15 minutes each day to go into the ‘workshop’ in your mind to envision your dream life, or whatever it is that you want in that moment. I think, one thing that I have been guilty of, is focusing on what I want, envisioning what I want at the start. And then after a few days I think that I have enough momentum to not have to envision any more. Or rather, I day dream here and there about how my life will be but I don’t take the 15 minutes each day to go into my mental ‘workshop’. (I love the idea of a mental workshop). And so, of course, my belief wains after a few days. This makes sense, given that ‘reality’ is all around us, all the time, so that is there, influencing our thoughts, whether we want it to or not. So it’s essential to combat that by creating a strong reality in your mind. Back to the process, though. So, you keep with the ‘layering on’ of these positive vibrations every day, for at least 15 minutes. And as you add more and more everyday, the Law of Attraction will, without a doubt, eventually turn what are merely visions in your mind, into solid beliefs. Now, imagine a belief as a jug. After so much envisioning, you are eventually believing but one can have varying degrees of belief. A belief can be strong or weak. So, at the start of the belief, water is trickling into the jug. But you keep believing, and you keep layering those thoughts onto the belief (i.e. water in the jug), and the more you add, the faster the water flows. It drips at first, then trickles, then runs, and then FLOWS. Eventually (this is how I see it), the jug is just too full. And this is where thoughts flow into reality. This is where your intentions come to manifest. The water is out of the jug and into the outside world. And hey presto, you have manifested what you want. |

The disks are really, really amazing. So inspiring. I realize that my description on the workings of manifestation may not fit in with the explanations of others but whatever the 'truth' is, it definitely helps to have a visual image in my head about how my manifestations are coming about. |
