Can somebody recommend a good book on visualization techniques...? Or perhaps share some of their own techniques... Thanks, Lil Chris

Hi Lil Chris, I personally find processes recommended by Abraham-Hicks work well for me. They are variations on visualization, and expand on the concept. One is called "segment intending", and it involves visualizing and scripting out the events and interactions in a segment of time. Here is an example of how it works: I get into my car and I visualize an easy ride to my destination, with traffic opening up for me as I approach any blockage. I smile at other drivers, they smile back, and I enjoy good tunes on the radio on the way. As I approach my destination - let's say a store - I imagine finding a good parking spot, and happy people in the store. I find exactly what I went to buy easily, at I price I like. I visualize a smiling, pleasant checkout clerk, and as I leave the store I realize I am ahead of schedule. My next task for the day is lunch with my mother, with whom I have a strained relationship and she tries my patience. Today as I prepare to meet her, I segment intend that she will be in a wonderful mood, we'll talk about agreeable subjects, she'll direct her complaints elsewhere instead of at me, and we'll finish our lunch happy and content. _____________ I imagine you get the point. The strength in this is it trains you to plan out how you want things to play out, and instead of "playing movies" in your head about worst-case scenarios, or the nasty argument you had last time you saw Mom, etc., you play the movie of how you want things to happen. It works for me. The books are Ask and It Is Given and The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent. I have other practices I use, too - I'll wait and see what others suggest, and if this is really what you wanted for answers. Love & Joy |

Yes, this maybe what i'm looking for... Thanks I would love to hear more about this from you and anyone else who would like to contribute. I had discussed this with a friend and was telling him that i had started noticing certain things (ex: like i would spend 5-10 minutes looking at snowmobiles on the internet (i always wanted one) then the next day i would see a snowmobile commercial on the tv, to which i never saw any snowmobile commercials before) things along those lines... many many many things along those lines... Anyway, he just looked at me and smiled, and said i'm like a kid who just discovered this new world (kind of on the edge) of something truely amazing... I can't explain anymore than that (cuz i simply don't understand yet), and his suggestion was very similar to yours. Thanks Lil Chris

One of the absolute coolest visualizations I learned for visualizing "letting go" of an outcome came from that book. It's called "The Pink Bubble Technique". Essentially I visualize outer space, stars, planets etc. In this outer space I visualize the object I am trying to attract, such as lets say a car I want. So I visualize this car floating in outer space, perhaps spinning around so I can see all the angles. If I want to visualize the interior a specific color, I visualize the doors of the car opening and the car coming closer to my field of vision so that I can see the car inside. I spend some time visualizing the object I desire until I really feel like it's been created. I then zoom out a bit so that I can see the object as a whole and I acknowledge that the object has been visualized and created and I think about how great it feels to own it already. I then create a pink bubble around the object, just as if I blew a big piece of bubble gum around it. I then take that bubble with the object I visualized inside it and let it start to slowly float upwards and away. The bubble gets smaller and smaller as I watch it float away as I let the Universe take the object. I then surrender to the universe to bring me the object I visualized with this pink bubble technique at the perfect time in my life. In this way, you leave the how and when to the universe, but you put all your energy into the WHAT it is that you want to create. Just this technique alone in the book was worth the price of the book and the time it took to read it. It's a really good book, I would recommend to anyone.

Have you had much success in attracting what you want...? I seem to have mastered the ability to "see", i guess it's the alpha reflection (as steve puts it). For example this christmas I want a digital camera, and i'm unsure as to what kind that fits my budget... Then as if *poof* cannon powershot all over the tv, almost everywhere i look... But it's getting it into my reality, that seems to fall short, ya know what i mean...? Understand, I absolutely do believe in the concept, and i am always tickeled seeing the alpha reflection... But i want to master, the next level. I've had much success in seeing what i want to see, now, i want to recieve what i want to recieve... make sence...? any suggestions...?
