I don't understand...

Ok, I'm getting a new job but until then i needed a job to help get by until i get thsi new job. last week had an interview at this job (McDonald's) and they assured me i was hired since the interview went flawless. (even though before the interview I knew) but there were an issue with another employee about which shift she was going to take so that i can take the one she didn't. They told me they were going to call me next week.

just got off the phone with the manager she told me they already have enough people so i was rejected the job.

I don't understand why since i was SURE OF IT, that I had this job and now I'm in a bind again because the better job is going to take a while to get.

That's just because internal existing employees shifted around their hours. It's common. Don't take it personally.

Send a thank you note. Let her know to keep you in mind if anything opens up. Try applying for upscale restaurants where you can work in food service but tips.

When things like this happen, it's the universe telling you something wasn't right for you.

I think it's the universe telling you if you're going for a temporary fast food job, make it Subway or Quiznos because you don't want to be covered in grease and smell like fries when you get home.
