 |  On doing nothing to get rich
You are probably not going to get rich doing nothing. Rock stars get rich doing what they love. People who own their own business get rich doing what they love. The hard working rich are simply following their dreams, doing what they love and feeling great about it. And, as we all know by now, feeling great comes before everything else – happiness and inner joy lead to a great life, and that includes money.

I didn't realize that was your blog I was reading.  I love it. I think too many people forget "effortless" means "easy" and does not mean "do nothing." (I got that from hkalchemy's blog, btw) I made that same mistake when I first looked into the secret, and that is why at first I was thinking it was silly. I do think things come to us without action, too, if we have that forward momentum going. But, yeah, sitting on the couch and dreaming my business will grow won't get it done. BUT... if you love what you do, it is effortless. I am living that right now. It's funny.... I have been doing one business for over 5 years and have complained my way through most of it. I decided I can love it by changing and tweaking a few things. Now I love it, and I can HONESTLY say I do NOT "dread" Monday anymore. It's still not my ultimate dream, but now I am in a better frame of mind to realize my ultimate dream (my other business I am opening) and things ARE happening quite "effortlessly."  I look forward to reading your blogs, hkchlemy, yours has made it into my regular circle for my 20 minute charge-up each morning.  |
