I am struggling with the "letting go" part of LoA, in particular with regard to my relationship with my partner. With anything else, especially anything monetary, I find it quite easy to let go and not feel attached to the outcome but I'm having a hard time with that for my relationship. A few months ago I split up with my partner of 10 years and my world crashed down around me. I was in pain - a lot of it. Finally, I managed to get myself out of the rut, started looking to the future and one day I decided that I was going to be ok and from that point on I was. I met somebody else the very next day, we fell madly in love and everything was great for a while. Now just 4 months on things are not so great and my partner is feeling strange about her ex. So here I am trying to use LoA to attract the perfect relationship but that scares me because last time I did that, my existing one fell apart. Of course, the new one that I manifested was much better than the one I was in but I had to go through a world of pain first and that is what scares me. I'm very happy with my new partner but I know you can't use LoA to attract a specific person. I'm scared that if I attract the exact relationship that I want it might not be with my current partner. I don't care if I could be even happier in the future because I don't want to go through the pain of another split! I know that my fear of splitting will probably manifest that very thing though. Grrrrr. So I'm trying to let go of the need to work things out with my *current* partner. Is it possible that if my current relationship is not to be, that we may be able to split without me going through the pain? Doesn't feel like it right now. Could I intend not to feel pain? Or could I intend to simply not feel the need for a relationship at all? Fear of being alone is another biggee. I'm only fearful of these things because I fear the pain they will bring but if I could believe that I wouldn't feel pain under those circumstances then I wouldn't feel the fear and thus I would be able to let go. So I guess I have waffled my way to asking, could I intend to manifest the absence of pain in a situation that would usually be painful?

I used EFT to significantly reduce grief from my fiancés suicide, and then used it again during my most recent break-up (about a month ago). It was very helpful. |

I've read a lot about this - mainly from all of Joe Vitale's work. I have a problem with it though. Basically, I don't believe how tapping myself in various places is going to do anything for me other than wear my fingers out and make me feel silly and my knowledge of LoA tells me that if that is what I believe, that is what I'll manifest! Do you really find it to work? Has anybody else?

Just following up my own reply. I remembered that I have a friend who is a physiotherapist and who has recently done a course on acupuncture (which I didn't believe in) so I asked her if she had heard of it. She has and although she's not an expert she said that it sounded perfectly viable so that's helped me believe it more so I will give it a go. I really liked the tapping.com website and its based in the UK which is cool because I am too. Thanks.

Well, I guess it is what you make of it. I hadn't eaten or slept in 10 days when I went in for my 1st session. After the first session, I fell asleep on the way home and started eating the next day. I can only give my anecdotal evidence about the efficiency of EFT - I have no real scientific proof. Note: I used a very well-recommended practitioner to help me. I did not do EFT by myself. I believe that, in my severe case, a practitioner was necessary.
