| This is what comes to my mind when I read all this about manifesting red hats, ferraris, feathers and millions of dollars... Remember what happened in the movie when Bruce (Jim Carrey) was given the power to manifest or do all he wanted? God (Morgan Freeman) took some time off and passed his duties on to Bruce, who accussed Him of not doing his job due to all the misshappenings he was suffering. Bruce immediately started to fulfill his selfish desires and the result was a mass catastrophe. Moral: let's not try to play God. There is a good reason why there's limits the LoA or LoM. Even though it is real and a fact of life and our universe, it is not a toy to be used irresponsibly like kids playing around. Can anyone imagine what would happen if everybody was able to manifest a million dollars? Or if we all decided to manifest huge houses and things of the sort? World doesn't work like that, and certainly that's not the reason we're here for. LoA is true, but anybody being able to attract whatever they want is a LIE, because, like it or not, there's a Higher Inteligence in control. That Supreme First Though who brought it all into being, and after Whom you and I were created, is still in control, and will certainly let you attract anything you desire even if it's for your own destruction, but for some good reason He also placed limits and boundaries we just can't cross. Otherwise, why don't you just go ahead and manifest that million dollars and prove me wrong? Let's not be hypocrites: the very first thing we all want to manifest (if we could) is money, and the more the better... Even Steve Pavlina tried to manifest that million dollars and failed! Isn't there a lesson to be learned? My point is, we certainly are godlike, but WE ARE NOT GOD HIMSELF, and though quantum physics has proved beyond any reasonable doubt that we are the creators of our own reality, that our minds are definitively entangled with all creation, and the energy of our thoughts is the building blocks of what we see in front of us, that we live in a superposition of realities and parallel universes with the possibility of choosing, that doesn't mean we can act like Bruce Almighty (and we certainly wouldn't be able to, even if we tried). We are here for a higher purpose, and our mind is to be used in resonance with it, that is, helping humanity, relieving the poor, visiting the sick and the widow, feeding the hungry, and spreading love without limits... Use the LoA for those purposes and you can be as sure as the sun coming out tomorrow morning, that it will work, even if it's the million dollars you asked for...! |

| YOU think you are here for the purpose of feeding the hungry, visiting the sick etc. I do not agree. My only, totally selfish purpose is to have a nice life to my own standards. I do not believe in a higher intelligence. YOU set the limiting believes about Intention/Manifestion (and would therefore limit yourself by believing in those limits even if they didn't exist). We can't know if there is a limit or not, there is just no way to proove it. That itdidn't work for some people here doesn't mean it doesn't work at all. |

The idea that we are indeed God himself is hard to swallow because of conditioning, and I don't blame anyone who can't accept it. To the Western mind the word "blasphemy" comes to mind at such talk. But that doesn't mean it can't be true. |

| Even the most skeptical of scientists now agree that there is a Creator in Creation, i.e. Big Bang has a supreme mind behind it. Sorry for you, permalink, but God does not need you to believe in Him for Him to exist, however you have the right to think that way, that's called free will. As to the source of my "revelations" is the same source that created the LoA in the first place, or you think that these and the rest of the universal laws created themselves? It's the first time I post here, and I hoped for my contribution to arise a healthy discussion about the real purpose of the LoA and ourselves, but apparently I landed in the wrong place... |

I believe creator and creation are one in the same. You talk as if it's somehow seperate, but perhaps the seperation is all in your mind? When people say, 'we ARE god', it doesn't mean we're like little individual gods, it means that there is no seperation between the source (what you think of as god), and the manifest reality of the world (creation, including life forms, like people). Using the word 'god' is also, bound to create confusion in people's minds. It's an objectification of something that can't be objectified. It creates sepertion, and focusses peoples' attention within their own minds, to forming the sound of the word 'god'. God, is not god. Eventually more and more people, will drop the word 'god', and consciousness awareness will spread around the planet. It's only a natural process. That's how I see it, others may disagree (they're wrong - ha! j/k) |

| Jeff, would you ask Einstein for the specific source and quotations he used to discover his relativity law? Or by the same token, how would somebody who gets a premonition on something that actually gets to happen, to explain the source of his knowledge? Man can not produce knowledge that trascends his own physical nature, that is the senses, but I don't think you would deny that there is knowledge that comes from the spirit, or, from a higher source. Jamie: creation and creator can't be the same, since that would imply that creation created itself. If there is a creation, there's got to be a creator. We are godlike, not gods. Just think about the Big Bang theory and try to explain it without a creator. BTY saying that is all due to chance is like saying that Websters Dictionary was the result of an explosion in a printshop. Cran: How about Einstein himself? Or Schroedinger, or Max Plank, Curie, etc etc etc, the list is endless, it just take a little interest in the matter to find a host of hardcore scientits yielding before a Supreme Creator. I'll put it easier for you: just read James Strobel's The Case for a Creator and you'll find a character just like yourself asking the very same questions... |

| Curie, Einstein etc. don't amount to your claim that the most sceptical of scientists do AGREE. They do not represent all scientists, let alone modern-day scientists. And that was your claim, which you failed to proove so far. You just demonstrate the fact that not all scientists are atheists, but have a variety of believes, ranging from hardcore atheism to harcore christianity and others. Therefore, there is still no proove for your assertion that scientists today (!) agree. Of course, in the european middle ages, all scientists would ave happily agreed And about the book you recommand... are you aware that james Strobel is not unbiased and his books do not live up to scientific standards? His books claims to be an investigation, but he investigates only people who are pro intelligent design, not contra, and claims to be a neutral investigator when he isn't. I am quite familiar with theological arguments for the existence of God myself - my master in theology is due in october, but that didn't stop me from having a very... godless wordlview. |

| You mean to tell me that you almost have a masters degree in theology and you don't accept intelligent desing?? Why did you choose to study that in the first place? and don't tell me it was just to prove all theologicians wrong! |

For example you could say "because of my indoctrination into Christianity I hold these beliefs to be true", "furthermore, my beliefs are better or superior to yours, and you should respect my authority in this matter because I got my information directly from god"---- or you could say, "the world would be a better place if everyone followed these guidelines" or maybe, "this is what I believe and it works for me, try it, you may like it"

| None of us "knows" anything for sure. I don't believe we are limited by God. I think we are limited by our own beliefs. I believe everyone could get that house if they really believed. Hold your thought for a second and see if this makes sense. I believe that if everyone were more enlightened and truly believed in a uniform conciousness, if they let go of their judgements and prejudices, if they truly did everything they could to be a light in the darkness, our society would provide for all. The more people that let go of limits while helping others as well, the closer we get to everyone having what they want. I believe that God gives us a limit only limits your growth toward enlightenment. You don't grow by believing in limits. Try telling Gandhi there are limits. The only limits are the ones you place on yourself. By trying to convince others there are limits, you are trying to limit others. Are you here to grow or stop others from growing? You and only you can decide that. I would rather not be told what I cannot do and so I would rather not tell others what they cannot do. |

I am here to evolve and help others do the same through the sharing of information. I feel that you were guided to this site so you could evolve too.....your ego has the mistaken idea that you are here to teach us, but, in fact, spirit has guided you here to learn to accept responsibility for your own (and only your own) life. You see, you really are the master of your own life and part of the deal is that you have to learn to choose wisely. If you want to help the poor and sick, give them knowledge, teach them that they have the key to their own chains. Learn to ask the right questions if you want the right answers. If you have childhood issues or religious programming to deal you may have to cut through that before you advance but, you can do it. If you have any questions or need any help on your journey just let me know, I'll help if I can, if I can't, I'm grown up enough to tell you "I don't know". Glad you found your way here.

I like theology from a theoretical point of view, I like the versatile education (it has many things: History, philosophy, law, social siences) and will have many possibilities after finishing - but only because I keep my mouth shut about my heretical believes in my everday life, of course! |

Simple as that; there is no need for the 'g' word. What you are asking me to do, is like take a step backwards, to lower my consciousness, to become lost in the mental realm of concepts. You cannot understand such things by thinking about them. 'God' is in fact, nothing more than an echo in your mind, when you drop the word, you begin to open up to the reality. It is a natural process, like a flower opening up, and it will happen to you, in time. If you believe that you are seperate from 'god', a question I have for you, where is the dividing line between yourself and god, where do you 'end' and 'god' begins? Something to think about, if you care to. Be well. |

| Ok... now we're getting somewhere. First of all let me appologize to those who might have felt offended by some expressions of mine. None of my questions or replies had such intention. English is not my native language, so, sometimes I may be expressing my ideas the wrong way. Jamie: I never said we are separated God, on the contrary, I believe we are a part of him, and that part is our spirit, we are an extension of Him. We are talking about God because there is a God, however we choose to call him. Cran, I thought theology was the study of God (that's what the term itself means, doesn't it? From the greek "theos" = god , "logos" study, konowledge or word) Why spend time and money studying something you don't believe in? Jeff: Early in this thread you said: "Just out of curiosity, can you give me the source of these revelations? Exactly how do you know we are supposed to do these things? " Then you said "I am here to evolve and help others do the same through the sharing of information" I now ask you back: How do YOU know you are supposed to do that? Let me offer an answer: you know it the same way I do, and this knowledge comes from the spirit within us which is the part of God we all have. It's funny, you seem to be my greater detractor here, and I appologize if any of my expressions led you to believe that I am trying to teach you, I probably am the most ignorant around here and do not feel ashamed to publicly recognize it, because I learn every day, but in the end, I wholeheartedly agree with every word you said. Examine your words and mine... Dannyboy: Cheers to that! JKromp: Cool your jets, You got me wrong. |

The only "disadvantage" is that I should not voice my personal believes openly, but as I see no reason to talk with my fellow theologians about my privat prayer life and believes /they are not interested in it, anyway), I do not see it as an disadvantage. |
