| Hi, yes this works as your mind and body are one interweaving process. It can work with anything. there are many reasons we may experience illness however the aleration in belief is the cure all. Dave |

| Sure. I have stopped pain in it's tracks using mantras. I have been lax lately and it's sneaking back in slowly.... You talking about curing cancer or something? There are a few remarkable examples, but they used ultrasound and any other modality would have been more credible, unfortunately. You can make anything look like anything with realtime ultrasound. | Im trying to heal my tinnitus with holding the thought of perfect hearing in my mind. Ive been told i should give up my job as a dj but this feels like part of my path in life so how can that be right? At least if I dont just get better perhapes i will manifest a person who has a great solution for me. It would be wonderful though to hear from someone who has litterally healed themselves of something supposidely incurable using their mind :-) |

| I have just watched a news report on an american news channel where children who are suffering from cancer are given video games to play with where they 'fight' the baddies (the cancerous cells) with lasers (their own bodies' fighting back). This is being promoted and endorsed by conventional medical doctors, but surely it's further endorsement of IM. The kids are enthusiastic and wanting to move the next level each time (beating the cells). Last edited by Canarybird : 04-22-2008 at 10:37 PM. |

"I have thought it's just the sound of the brain from the inside and there are two sounds for each hemisphere, and when the two hemispheres are off in their own world there is an interference which makes the sounds. So then the trick is to synchronize the hemisphere's brain activity" Wolfgang this is really interesting. I did not know this was an explanation for it. I thought that i was more of a phantom limb kind of effect. So that because the hairs in the ear channel have been damaged they are sending ongoing messages to the brain. If what you are saying is true it makes me wonder weather something such as holosync (see link below) could help bring the two hemispheres of the brain in sync with each other. Are you suffering from this yourself? Holosync: Centerpointe Research Institute: The Most Powerful Personal Growth, Meditation and Mind Development Tool on the Planet |

| I've had mixed results... I had a spastic colon (irritable bowel syndrome) for about ten years, but managed to heal that. I haven't had any symptoms related to that for about seven years now. That took me a while to heal (I was just starting to learn about LOA type principles). I have had really bad sinus headaches before as well (every nerve ending on my face and scalp becomes sensitive - it hurts!!). I actually had one a couple of weeks ago that I just couldn't get to go away. I tried LOA, I tried conventional medicine... nothing. Then about a week later, one started again. I felt this incredible certainty in me that it was stopping right then and there (it felt like making a choice between headache/none), and it just vanished. Literally, within a second, my head went from major pain to being absolutely fine. Where the LOA has been of most help though has been in remaining healthy. It's now very rare for me to get to the stage where an illness manifests physically.

Hey Wolfgang, do you suffer from tinnitus yourself? what your saying is very interesting , I wonder if somthing like holosync could help put the two sides of the brain back in sync. I have never heard of this an explanation for tinnitus. Rather i thought it was more like phantom limb effect where damaged hairs where sending ongoing singals to the brain. Where did you fnid this theory? |
| |||
| I found this theory in my head. I have not read that idea anywhere and it's probably just a nutty idea of mine that I have no way of proving or testing. I don't feel I suffer from the ringing I have. And it seems to go away at times when I am less stressed or highly focused on something. Less stress and having focus is like brain synch, perhaps and that's what made me have the theory. |

| oh sorry for posting twice, i havent gone mad. The first post just didnt appear for hours! Im starting to get used to my Tinnitus...but I dont want that to be the solution! The irony of tinnitus is that is very much all about what you focus on. If you focus on something else you dont notice it, so thats very much like LOA! If ALG is reading this, id love to hear his opinion on healing things with IM because he seems to be a master of it! |

| Some time ago there was an article in our local newspaper about healing tinnitus. People who suffered from tinnitus had done mental exercises, similar to self-hypnosis, and for some of them the tinnitus went away completely. According to the doctor who supervised them this was previously thought not possible. |

| Oh, and always relevant this Wikipedia article about the well known placebo effect: Placebo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

| There's plenty of evidence that hypnosis can help treat tinnitus. (Actually, there's plenty of evidence that hypnosis can help treat lots of different things. After all, hypnosis tweaks your thougts and beliefs, and your thoughts and beliefs create all of your reality. Including your tinnitus). Anyway, here's a very well-controlled scientific study on the use of hypnosis to treat tinnitus. SpringerLink - Journal Article Quote:

| Thanks for that! The only thing that bothers me about hypnosis is whether it is actually reducing the noise as opposed to your tolerance of it. Prehapes its just making you not notice it...which you could say is just as good, but as a producer i need to actually have good unimparied hearing not just think i do! I will do further research into it. Of course my doctor told me hypnosis could do nothing, but i have learnt enough to know not to listen to my docotor to much! |
