Default How do you "release"?

I wanted to know how can I "release" my intention into the Unvierse that it will come back to me. lately I have been holding tight to it; thinking about it constantly and see no results. I figured out that the problem was not letting go. So how can i do that?

There are a few posts on that somewhere around here, and Erin did a wonderful podcast about that too:

Think ordering a meal in a restaurant or ordering a pizza -- you order it and then don't give it any thought until it arrives because why would you. The idea is to do the same with manifestation.

I look at the universe and I say, "this is how I want it to happen, but, nevertheless, I would prefer to see it how you would have it happen". This disavows the ego, which is the presumed barrier between what you conceptually regard as "you" and what you conceptually regard as the "object of your desire".

Fear, striving, and dread are manifestations of resistance. Detachment is trust -- the gentle faith that things will happen they way they are supposed to. Where you place your attention, and how you place it is the key. It's okay to think about what you want, but when you feel that become negative, as in it feels like a chore to do, something has gone amiss. I can't overemphasize how important feeling good is to the manifestation of your desires. It really does mean you are achieving vibrational resonance with your desires.

Also, it is extremely important to pay attention to subtle mental images you carry. How do you conceptualize the attraction process? Do you feel like you are a small magnet in a big world? Conceptualize the world and universe as alive and lovingly helping you accomplish your intent (for so in truth it is). Your consciousness is extremely powerful. It is always a good idea to spend some time meditating on the fact that you are worthy of your desires, and that the universe wants you to have whatever you want. There can be loads of subconscious garbage inhibiting your point of attraction. So keep a close eye out for it, and remember the universe is helping you clear that out too.

I do it by never needing what I desire.

If I choose to occasionally use a mantra or affirmation statement, I always say "...according to the greater good..." or "...if it is aligned with the greater good..."
