someone explain polarity, please

I have to understand polarity in order to make the LOA work for me. I have just read Steve's articles, The #1 Mistake People Make..." and Polarity, and polarity seems to be the missing link for me. But I don't understand it. I might be trying to hard. In reading his article, I thought polarity meant to imagine or visual energy or waves of it either going out or coming in to me. But he stated that is to be used as a "conceptual tool". I want to view it as physical, it would be alot easier. So there I am, totally stuck.

Really quite simple. I am horrified to note that I've been indulging in Darkworker behaviors simply because I can't really see a Lightworker approach.

Which, for me, has been pretty horrible overall.

I agree with Dave. I have a feeling that many people do not subscribe to this lightworker/darkworker thing. Don't let these ideas become a new limiting belief for yourself.

For me Darkworking is the way to go. I agree that polarization is a key part of succeeding, and anyone who says they think greyworking is better, or thats its just a stupid idea or whatever, they just don't realize that ythese are core ideas and that no matter what belief you have they pretty much come down to these ideas.

There's just one thing you need to know about IM and POLARITY.

Decide what you want to attract/intend into reality.

Figure out ONE reason and ONLY one reason for your creation. Whatever it is, if you need two reasons they aren't it. All the other stuff will be added, but if the one reason isn't powerful enough, then find a better one. There's one REAL reason you want it, and when you find it it will ELECTRIFY your results.

Whether you are manifesting out of a "selfish" drive or a "loving" drive, really doesn't matter as long as it ELECTRIFIES you. (Both polarities do good for others, both polarities do good for the self. But like a coin, you can only look at one at a time.)

I have to say that polarity is just more mental labeling to add to egoism. Egoism is self concern, polarity is a word to decribe wether your self concern is dark or light, anger or love.

Some words, labels are helpful to identify areas of ego, like pain body, self concern, etc. But to me, polarity creates a new (unnecessary) label that just adds another layer that makes it harder to see the now.

Be neutral (of course some gurus say you can't be that ) and see the present moment as completely free of egoic labeling.

You can manifest with ego and polarity, but why add more than is required?

Yep. I'm polarized Dark. I work with the Shadow. I'm not an evil or bad person according to most people I know. I volunteer my time for causes, though I don't deny I get something out of this (experience in different fields; an enhanced resume). I've manifested a life where I get to immerse in my goals while doing very little of what most people think of as "work".
I don't attempt to gain worldly power... much. And I want to save the world, too. I LIVE IN IT AFTER ALL. The only difference really between my LOA practice and some others is that in my practice I believe "the only way out is through". You have to deal with your evil messy base stuff to get to the good stuff. That's my approach.

My approach is that you may HAVE to try manifesting stuff that seems totally immoral by standard ideas - a specific person, temporal power at others' expense, etc - in order to actually work through these ideas and release them.

Shoving them underground and getting an ego trip off of pretending you're wonderful, just halves your own productive power, and feeds your propensity for ego trips. Now you're a full of yourself lightworker instead of a full of yourself darkworker.

That's why I simply polarize Dark. It's the more direct route.
