In this thread you state what methods you use for IM and how effective they are. now everyone is different but by doing this it gives others (newcomers especially like myself) ideas on how to use it and see if that particular method can work for them as well. (IE writing down affirmations, etc.) Last edited by JKrump : 04-12-2008 at 05:46 PM.

What a great idea for a thread! I'll list mine for easier reading. 1. I made a visualization board. I have printed photos of all the things I'd like in my life and pasted them on the board. If anyone chooses to make a visualization board, keep it in a prominent spot in your home or office, so you see it everyday. Also visualization boards make great wallpaper on your computer. 2. Write in a journal the things you want. Then write a few paragraphs about what life will be like after you recieved those things. But put it in the present tense. Otherwise your manifestation might end up always being in the future. 3.Act, pretend and take an action "as if" you have already obtained the things you want. In the book the Secret, there is a documentation of woman wanted her life partner to manifest. Her garage was one big storage unit. She cleaned out the garage to make room for "his" car. She also cleaned out half of her closet, so he can have a half. I have yet to do this, because I am in the process of moving, but I think I'll do this anyway. I am wanting to lose weight. Previously, I had been a size 3 or 5 depending on the make of the clothing. I have all my size 3 and 5 clothing in the front of the closet, the clothing that is my current size is in the other closet. I have two closets in my bedroom. I keep the door to the closet with the smaller clothing open, so I see them everyday. 4. Visualize yourself with the thing you want. If it's a life partner visualize him / her and get vivid! Allow them to pass through your five senses. See, touch, hear, taste and smell the person. Get an idea what this person looks like and sounds like. Pick a nice scent to place on them. How does their skin feel? Their hair?

I write a letter to an imaginary friend that I haven't spoken to in several years. In that letter I detail everything in my life as I want it to be, my house, my relationship, my job, my financial situation, all as if it already exists. As it's imaginary, you can really go to town on how you feel, in a way you wouldn't if it was a letter that you were going to send. I make sure it is very detailed, and it helps detach me from the how, only the end result. Writing things down works better for me than visualisation, and anyway I am visualising to an extent as I write. I always end up with an enormous smile on my face, which is the way it should be, shouldn't it??!! From this I manifested my ideal apartment, me and my boyfriend are happier and happier each day, and so many work offers came in that I had to let some pass. For this to happen I wrote the letter every day for around 2 weeks, not copying, but writing from scratch each time. Strangely enough, an old friend did get in touch with me through Facebook and I wrote an update email, and I could see that I'm definitely moving in the right direction! I also keep a gratitude journal that I write in every night before i go to sleep, where I write everything that is great about my life; sometimes I have to leave stuff out otherwise it would take me hours! Again, it puts a huge grin on my face as I fall to sleep. Hope this helps.

| As ALG is fond of saying, all the different methods work as well as they work for you. I personally like to intend by meditating for a few minutes in the morning afte rwaking up and as I'm falling asleep at night.

those are awesome suggestions! What i do is, I have a shoe-box and lable it "Attraction Box" and I put anything that represents or symbolizes my intentions (IE, I cut out a picture of the Bowflex and place it in the box, or a check written for $800 paid to me)
