Default Working through distractions

I haven't posted in awhile so I hope I don't say or do anything annoying, but if I do, I apologize.

I have positive things in my life I am trying to focus on and produce, but I feel so drug down by negative energy day after day. I feel like my current job is just one big distraction that I can't see past! I need to quit, I know I do. But, I also need to pay the bills. And... I hate this place I still find myself.

I do have a plan for a new business. It can be very successful. I believe in it. BUT.... I feel my CURRENT job is just dragging me down.

Oh my gosh. IS there even advise for this?? Sorry!!!

I don't even know what I am asking. Maybe how to keep positive when current situations are not ideal. Probably been asked a billion times. Here's a billion and one!

I should add, that I have read a few books on being positive, being happy, etc, etc.... I have the hardest time applying that stuff.

What a way to begin! Jawillie, you are too funny -- and I recognize this way of being, because it's my habit, too!

You have some very basic core beliefs about yourself (like "I am annoying") and trying to slap on positive affirmations on top of those deeply held beliefs is like putting a band-aid on an open, gaping chest wound.

What are you doing? How are you holding herself? What are you saying to yourself, what are you saying to others? How are others responding to you? What kind of look do you have in your eye?

Imagine this ideal you as vividly and brightly as you can. Turn up all the lights, make all the colors really vivid and vital, stride around being the you you want to be.

Then, float into that ideal you -- inhabit her body, see what you see through her eyes, hear what you hear through her ears, feel what it feels like in her body and mind to be her.

How is that for you?

I know.........WHY did I start with that??? I just want everyone to like me! That sentence in itself WAS annoying!!!
