| A few months ago I learned about the Law Of Attraction, and first I was skeptical like most people are when they learn something new. However, on observing the events that have been happening in my life lately, I now believe 100% that this law exists, and I am very concerned with the implications that the law is having on my life, if I continue to attract the thing I'm currently attracting. So what is the thing I'm currently attracting into my life that I am so concerned about?... The thing I'm currently attracting is FIRE. Here are some events that have happened in my life that have caused me to believe that the Law Of Attraction exists. 1) The fire attraction started when I was around 7 years old. When I was 7 years old I had a fascination with fire and I had a magnifying glass which I used to carry around with me on a sunny day, and I used the magifying glass to burn paper and leaves by focusing the sun's rays through it. 2) When I was 7 years old my mother set fire to the house by falling asleep whilst the chip pan was on. 3) I started smoking at the age of 12, and used to play around with my lighter and matches alot, I used to do lighter tricks with my zippo, etc. That's a few of my childhood ones mentioned, now for the more recent ones that have happened since I have learned about the Law Of Attraction, all these have happened within 2 months. 4) After living here for over 24 years, the fire brigade has changed the route that they take on emergencies. I now hear fire engine sirens almost every day, several times a day. 5) I used to watch alot of movies and TV shows until I noticed there was alot of fire in them all. The latest TV show I watched was Smallville, and I watched the entire first series of it (except the fire coach episode), but then there was an episode near the beginning of season 2, and fire was shown and mentioned virtually in every scene, so I decided I finally had enough, and decided to end my viewing of this show. 6) I used to read the news every day, until I noticed that many titles and stories were about fire and explosions, etc. 7) I don't read the newspaper very often, but other members of my household do and they often leave the newspaper lying around. I've noticed that 7/10 times when I glance at the newspaper the headline is about fire, and the same can be said about the TV guide too. 8) A house in my street exploded two months ago when the woman who lived there put a candle in a cupboard next to a boiler/heater. 9) I started doing brain training on the Nintendo DS, and I got a title named "Brain Assist". All was going well with this game until I reached "Challenge Eva" and I noticed the fiery flames at the bottom of the screen. 10) I have just started to become interested in learning Linux, and I watched the "Learnkey - Linux+ certification training" videos with Mike Meyers. I was just sitting back watching this wonderful training, then all of a sudden he changes the topic and makes a joke about fire. He could have made a joke about ANYTHING, but NO, it was about the very thing that I'm currently attracting. 11) I made a decision and chose Ubuntu as my Linux distro to learn since it's very popular. Anyway, I was messing around in Ubuntu with the gadgets on the taskbar and I came across a fish. Upon clicking on the fish, the very first comment it made to me was a joke about fire. I can't remember what the fish said exactly, but it was kinda dumb, so I got rid of that stupid fish off my taskbar. 12) Finally, I'm attracting more fire into my life right now as I type this message, because I'm focusing on it. How cool (or "hot" in this case) is that? Anyway, I really need advice from the experts on how I can control this thing. It seems the more I try to avoid situations where fire would show up, such as movies, TV, news, etc, the more it appears elsewhere. So far I've been lucky in the sense that I haven't been physically harmed yet by it, but I'm concerned that if I continue to attract it as frequently as I do, that my luck may eventually run out. Advice needed please. Help! EDIT: Here we go again, 30 minutes of reading posts on this forum and I've come across someone talking about "fire" already. It's mentioned on the first post of the following thread: Quote:

Maybe you should turn your thoughts to water, to put out those fiery thoughts! But to avoid a tsunami heading your way, I would start by appreciating your good health, the beautiful place where you live, and everything else you are able to appreciate about the life you have right now. But, oh my god, right now on my TV there is a fire eater... Which has just now switched to the European Swimming Championships currently taking place, which features, ahem, lots of water. Gotta love this LOA.

You will just have to stop thinking about fire on purpose, for starters. Maybe you re-incarnated from a soul save from hell. I would say that's a good thing! Maybe it's a message to get off your butt and "light a fire" in your life. Get moving, in other words. Fire is usually judged as bad and destructive but it has inherent good and constructive implications as well. It's how many forests regenerates themselves. Without the fire from within the earth, land wouldn't exist as we know it. The fire of our sun is literally life-giving. You could inquire with a Feng Shui specialist and see what mitigating cures you can place around your home to counter the fire obsession. I would meditate on water images and water themes and see if it helps entrain your psyche. Your reticular activating system has a deep rut or groove for fire. It will take time to fill it in with new data if you decide your fire obsession has negative rather than positive connotations. Jennifer

Does snow count? I woke up this morning and there is alot of snow everywhere. I think it would be a good idea if I avoid attracting water too, since there has been alot of flooding in the UK lately. So do you have any other suggestions? Jennihul, your theory that my soul could be re-incarnated from hell made me laugh a bit. I did think that it might just be the Law Of Attraction and my unconscious mind trying to get my attention, so I would believe 100% that the law exists (I had some doubts until now), and do something positive with my life, instead of wallowing in self-pity, which is what my life has been like for many years.

Maybe you should start thinking about money. Receiving truckloads of it every day. Eventually every room in your house is filled with money but still the firetruch is bringing you money and you don't know how to stop it. Yeah, I think money should become your new obsession.

I say - look at the facts. In "reality" there has really only been two experiences in your life where fire was concerned. The first was your house fire and the second was the house explosion...all the rest of the events are NOT manifestations. They are just images of fire. We all see them too. I have the same thing with license plates. In my town we have license plates that have 3 numbers and 3 letters. I ALWAYS "seem" to be driving behind a car that has a license plate with the random letters like "DRG" but then the numbers will be "333". HTV 333 FTY 333 BGE 333 Why do you think this happens? Do you think it happens because I am manifesting it or because I am noticing it? Jeri BTW - I have experienced 2 fires in my life so far too. Anybody else?

Interesting question Jeri - I was going to answer no - but then i thought: Aged 3 I put dried ornamental grass into a gas fire and set our living room on fire! Aged 7 - 11 I was obsessed with lighters, matches, candles etc Aged 13 started burning joss sticks in my room Aged 18 - 22 - the number of kitchen fires we had from the old greasy grill in our student house was ridiculous! Aged 23 - my cat burnt his fur by sitting too close to the gas fire (he's fine now) Aged 28 - on holiday with friends I discovered a fire in the far room of the cottage when a burning log had fallen out of the grate. No-one else heard the smoke alarm over the music, so if I hadn't gone to investigate when I did, it would have been a lot worse! Currently fire marshall at work and regularly have to train people on fire safety. But you're right, until this post, I hadn't given any of these things a second thought. I don't believe I attract fire - it just is there. (obviously now I am completely freaked out!)

Yes it is quite interesting... But remember the old saying "Energy flows where thought goes". If you are thinking about fire - you will most definitely attract/notice things related to fire. Try thinking about Sunflowers or elephants or Jon Bon Jovi - something totally weird. Then sit back and watch as it manifests... Guaranteed you will manifest one of these concepts into your life within one week...(especially if you think about them as often as you think about fire.) Keep me posted - I'm interested to see if you can manifest one of these concepts into your life (or pick one of your own and then tell me about it - I want to hear how this plays out). Good luck! Jeri
