The Synkros are back!

Lol. I write my intentions "I am noticing more and more synchronicities every day" and I'm getting them.

I guess we fear what we don't understand. I think or talk about a subject and immediately I see references to it, just makes me think, obviously everything is connected. It's happening, it's real. I've been through this a few times. They come, faster and faster and I say "wait! Slow down! This is WEIRD!" and, they slow down. I say "show up again" and they do.

Hope I'm ready for this. It's a GOOD THING.

Lil Chris 03-05-2008 04:14 AM

I could talk to you all day about this... But, please keep me posted as to how things are going...

cylon 03-05-2008 04:28 AM

Lol. Yeah, I've been thinking of this. It's like Angela said in my other thread, about surfing. I think it's a skill. And the skill is not so much noticing them, but allowing yourself to stay with it and not freak out.

I've been doing this long enough that I need to come to some decisions about how I'm going to deal with this-- as far as I'm concerned it's real. I've taken the right colored pill. You can't go back from that. They don't stop.

The key is... just getting in that place of joy and acceptance. Going with the flow. It is only fun when you trust it and go with it. Downstream. I think this is where ALG is at--he's gone past the awestruck part, and is just surfing.

So don't freak. :p

Anyway I was talking to my Dad about a cool Clint Eastwood movie I saw, then I look on the tv while we're talking, it's Clint Eastwood. I post at another forum, some one sends me a PM, their icon is clint eastwood.

I'm writing them down and keeping track, but when you do that, it's hard to keep up.

Acting Like Godot 03-05-2008 05:20 AM

They ARE fun.

My latest synchronicities are dragon-related.

Started when I took my kids to a toy shop and I saw these toy dragon miniatures. They are made up of many small parts and you're supposed to assemble them (like a 3D jigsaw). I thought they looked quite cool but my son wasn't interested so we didn't buy any.

http://www.fao.com/assets/product_im...t/862429_P.jpg

But since I'm experimenting with manifesting strange things, I immediately spent a few minutes in the toy shop focusing on thoughts about dragons.

Next day, I visited my parents. My brother visited too, and brought his little daughter (my niece). Their family had just come back from some beach holiday somewhere overseas and my niece had gotten herself a henna-dye tattoo (non-permanent and washable). Guess what? It was a dragon!! Something like this:

http://www.bencredible.com/wp-conten...attoo_head.jpg

A couple of days later, I was in a bookshop and in the New Age section, I found two new titles about dragons. Not fiction or fantasy, but about dragons and how to invoke them. Now, there are lots of strange things in the New Age section of bookstores, but you gotta admit this is strange. I honestly haven't seen any such dragon books before

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...A240_SH20_.jpg

Now today at lunchtime I got a little bored. I work in the central business district, but I decided to take a long walk, and I ended up somewhere in Chinatown. I passed by a couple of Chinese temples and noted the dragon statues and carvings. I guess it is to be expected that Chinese temples have such things, but the point is -

I wasn't thinking of dragons at all when I decided to take a long walk. Wasn't thinking of Chinese temples either. The dragons just decided to present themselves into my reality.

http://www.arrakeen.ch/thai4/310%20%...e%20temple.JPG

---

All of the above, occurring within the space of one week or so.

None of this is actually practical or useful, I know. But it just shows you .... suppose you start focusing a little more on thoughts/intentions that ARE practical and useful, like thoughts on health ... happiness .... career success .... love .... etc etc ....

what synchronicities will start popping into your life?

Shouldn't be a problem... This time around

I got the weirdest (but good) mental image from reading this... It was about focus and how your in control (you're the director of your own movie)

Quote:

I'm thinking you don't need to do this (keep track) it may detract from your focus of being in the moment, in your previous post you said "They come, faster and faster and I say "wait! Slow down! This is WEIRD!" and, they slow down. I say "show up again" and they do."...

Keep on directing brother... :D

cylon 03-05-2008 05:26 AM

Lol, yeah I feel lucky, punk. A while ago I was seeing polar bears all over the place.

I was writing them to keep them coming, but that becomes a full time job. So I'm going to focus on directing bigger movies.

Lil Chris 03-05-2008 06:04 AM

From The Matrix - When Neo is talking with The Oracle, The Oracle says...
"But, you don't believe in all this fate crap, You're in control of your own life... Remember...?" (in the end he was in control, he just didn't believe it at the time)

@ ALG,
Great post... I think it helps those who haven't experienced what we are discussing to "see" examples, then to make those connections in their own life... So, Thanks for that.

p.s. - If you look at my web page, (depending on your monitor resolution settings) you'll see the Chinese influence, there's no dragons but two little Chinese huts (the image may be a bit large at the moment)

Vee 03-05-2008 06:32 PM

What exactly is synchronicity?

Is it seeing what you intend to manifest appearing in your reality?

Or a series of coincedences?

cylon 03-05-2008 07:02 PM

It's what most people call coincidences, yet when you focus on IM you tend to get lots and lots of coincidences, so they are considered not coincidences anymore.

Ree 03-05-2008 07:17 PM

Cylon, I'm enjoying so much hearing about your experiences with synchronicities! When I first started noticing them in my daily life, I was amazed.... they still make me smile:)

Have you seen the movie Signs? There's a line something to the effect that "Nothing is a coincidence.........."

Yikes! I believe!

dancer 03-05-2008 07:22 PM

I personally have a problem with synchronicities. They have a tendency to torture me as when I see them I get so excited and I think my intention is on its way and then it turns out I was wrong and I become disappointed. I'm obviously missing something here and am not sure why people are excited about them. I realise I'm being negative, sorry, just my take on them and would love to be let in on the secret.

cylon 03-05-2008 07:28 PM

Well when you're thinking or talking about something and you get a synkro, it's weird. I don't think it means anything more or less than, ok so your thoughts are affecting your reality. How far you take that is up to your own ability to stay detached, because otherwise it's scary. They usually happen when I'm in a good mood, for what that's worth.

dancer 03-05-2008 07:33 PM

What is their function?

Ree 03-05-2008 07:44 PM

Dancer, I don't know whether Cylon will agree with me, but I simply take them as evidence that the LOA is working. Like if you drop a book and it falls to the floor, it means the Law of Gravity is still working:)

One reason I think synchronicities happen so often and so easily is because they usually (in my case anyway) revolve around things to which I have no great attachment. For me recently it was butterflies. It's still winter you know, and I've been seeing lots of butterflies on my recently walks. Then, besides in nature, I happened upon a public television show about them, and then had a random conversation with a complete stranger in which the subject came up. THEN last week my husband mentioned two incidents from our past in which we were inundated with butterflies. I have no great attachment to their appearance, so I just view it as a fun little wink from the LOA that it's still hard at work:)

dancer 03-05-2008 07:51 PM

Thanks for the reminder of seeing them as fun. I've thought this too, but lost the fun aspect because of my attachment to the outcome. :)

cylon 03-05-2008 08:36 PM

That could be it Ree. I don't think they have much "meaning", but that's because nothing really has meaning. Like I was thinking of a certain city. I started seeing it everywhere. People would bring it up. All over the place. But I got messed up trying to find the meaning. Does that mean I will live there? Am I supposed to follow this and go there? Am I setting up events that will take me there? Trying to find the "meaning" can screw you up.

This is why it's important to know what it is you want in life.

Lil Chris 03-05-2008 09:51 PM

Personally, I think it's just a small step towards something greater (more understanding). Perhaps a way to recognize with where and how you're focusing... Like, hey I'm thinking of butterflies (and then they're everywhere and every bodies talking about them). So, then I shift my focus to a certain city (and then I see references to it everywhere and every bodies talking about it). Now, what if I think about ____________ ?

As Wayne Dyer says:
If you change the way you think about things, the things you think about will change...

I'm going to shift my focus to rapid healing and good health myself...

cylon 03-06-2008 01:25 AM

Cool. I just need to use it to stay positive, knowing that I'll achieve my goals.

Acting Like Godot 03-06-2008 02:15 AM

Okay, folks. Back to first principles.

1. Thought creates reality.
2. Your thoughts create your reality.
3. All your thoughts create all your reality.

And additionally, EACH of your thoughts has an effect on reality. It's just that:

(1) the effect of that thought may be too small to be pbservable
(2) the effect of that thought may be counteracted by other contradictory thoughts
(3) you may not be able to draw the link between the effect on your reality, and the thought(s) which caused it.

Now, suppose I think about dragons. Since my thoughts create my reality, my dragon-related thoughths must have some effect on my reality. If I think hard enough about dragons, they MUST appear in my reality. Either as toys, or tattoos, or books, or statues, or whatever.

And when that happens, we say it's a synchronicity.

This is really how LOA works. For example, suppose I wish to be rich. I think a lot about being rich. These thoughts MUST have some effect on my reality. Therefore things related to being rich MUST appear in my reality. For example, perhaps I will get a new job offer; or have a good investment idea; or new business opportunities will surface; or I wil strike the lottery; or SOMETHING.

These are also synchronicities.

What we need to be clear about is that (IMO, anyway) most of the time, it isn't as if some divine force or God or whatever is telling yu what to do. In other words, God isn't telling you to buy that toy dragon or take that job offer or whatever. The synchronicity is self-generated - you made it, with your thoughts. If the synchronicity is an oppportunity, you also made it. Whether you take it, is also up to you.

cylon 03-06-2008 02:53 AM

Thanks for that ALG. Many of us have religious backgrounds, so we may see the synkros as if "someone else" is guiding us, laying out a plan of action to take by showing us all these "signs", and so we ask for the larger meaning--but it's really us doing it. We are giving it that meaning. That's a big step to take, acknowledging that it's really under your control, so that should save some time in wondering what "someone is trying to tell us".

Vee 03-06-2008 09:16 AM

Yeah! I had a synchro this morning :)

Look forward to more throughout the day :D

moonrambler 03-06-2008 03:24 PM

Because I go through time periods where I don't get much in the way of synchronicities, I tend to look at them like they are a "yes" from the universe, an acknowledgement that I'm going with the flow, on the right path. I get more when I'm in a good mood, but sometimes when I'm sad, they still show up and then I find them comforting.

Some of my favorite ones happen between me and someone I'm close to, and I think that's a sign of a strong connection/force, like electricity. For instance, one of my best girlfriends was having a birthday and spending it at her parents' house, and I went over there and had wrapped her present in paper with lots of wildlife all over it -- for no reason other than I happened to have this paper. Her parents were watching Animal Planet and at the exact same moment Lynn started unwrapping this present, which had a rhino on top facing to the right, a rhino appeared on tv, facing right. It looked exactly the same. I nudged Lynn, who was looking at the package, and I went, "LOOK! LOOK!" and she looked up in time to see the rhino on tv. Very strange.

Another just recently, a year ago a friend of mine who lives in FL sent me a link to a website for a band he'd just seen and really liked. I saved the link not because I was interested in the band but because I liked the website design, which had a moon theme, and I wanted to create something like it eventually. All this time went by, and then a couple weeks ago I e-mailed another friend who lives about 80 miles from here to help me with this website idea. He called, and we talked and e-mailed some ideas back and forth, and I found that link and sent it to him. Then when I looked at it, I saw that this band was playing in his town that week. That totally freaked me out.

I have the similar experience,i sometimes be able to notice synchnorities sometimes i lose them. But in these days i am able notice them well, seems like my intentions work,my intentions are a bit different than other people, different type intentions, but still look like they work although i couldn'T be able to create the event which i want exactly, but i manifested similar results, think i will be able to manifest what i exactly want.(i think i have manifested two similar but wrong results, seems like there was a problem with the words which i repeated myself, but now i make the sentence right i think)

Ree 03-07-2008 12:28 AM

I had an amazing synco today! While traveling to take my mom to lunch (1 1/2 hours one way) I listened to a CD of Wayne Dyer with Byron Katie. Dyer talked about the number 18 and that it symbolizes one infinity, saying he has always been drawn to that number. He mentioned that the Tao has --- not 18 verses, but 81. Same numbers symbolizing one infinity.

When I got the check for lunch, it was $18.81:D

cylon 03-07-2008 02:06 AM

Awesome Ree.

How did we not notice this stuff before? It must be, we're expecting them, so we see them more.

Last night in my journal I wrote about how my reality now, is a result of years of habitual thoughts. Then in another forum, my "mentor" had written a nice post about how our habitual thoughts run the show. Good stuff.

moonrambler 03-07-2008 03:07 PM

D'you know, one thing that seems freaky about synchronicities, is sometimes it feels like the effect happened before the cause. Like when I was e-mailing with my friend and talking with him on the phone at the same time, and I sent him the link to the band's website which I had saved from a year ago, because I like the way the website looks, and then I see that the band is playing in his town that week.

What we think should happen is that I run across the link and because the band is playing in his town, it reminds me to send it to him. Instead it happens backwards.

A month or so ago I had e-mailed a guy who writes a blog, because I agreed with him about his distate for the way the media continually reports on things that haven't even happened yet. A specific example I mentioned, because I live near Green Bay, was Brett Favre's non-retirement for the past few years. Another blog he wrote that I liked was about platitudes that aren't true. We both seriously dislike "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger," and "God doesn't give us anything we're not strong enough to handle." I had even started wondering lately where those philosophies came from, because they are not Biblical quotes, but believers state them like they are the Word of God.

This morning I decided to send him a picture of the lead story for the NFL Playoff Special Edition that the local paper ran in January, which had the headline, "It's so easy to see why Brett will be back." Which seems rather hilarious now. Why didn't I send him that on Tuesday, when Favre's retirement announcement was made? Or on Wednesday? Or on Thursday? Why this morning? I don't know. I just did.

Within a half hour, I was looking through a book of poetry written by a Danish man named Piet Hein, during the Nazi occupation, because I'm listing the book on eBay and wanted a good example of a poem to include. And I run across this:

A Maxim for Vikings

Here is a fact
that should help you fight
a lot longer
Things that don't
actually kill you outright
make you stronger

Again, it's backwards. I should have run across that poem, been reminded of the blog, and sent him the photo. Synchronicity goofs up our ideas of cause & effect. It's like there's no cause and effect. There's connection.

This morning in my chick-pack e-mails, one thread is going about the increase in foreclosures. Out of the blue, one woman responds about her son getting diagnosed with high-functioning autism (which we already knew about). She went off on a tangent about that for some reason. Within two minutes, in the discussion I was half-listening to on Wisconsin Public Radio, somebody says "one in 80 boys will be diagnosed with autism in Wisconsin this year."

Speaking of the media reporting on things that haven't happened yet. ;)

cylon 03-07-2008 03:22 PM

Well time is an illusion, right? Just like you and me?

How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go, and still be able to function in the real world at the same time?

That's a question I find myself, asking myself. :D

Lil Chris 03-07-2008 03:41 PM

And just how real is this real world you speak of...? Perhaps, about as unreal as the world we are starting to explore... I guess it all depends on what you think is real.

cylon 03-07-2008 03:53 PM

Too much too soon!

18 also reduces to 9. (1+8 = 9). After watching the movie "Number 23" I got a little bit into numerology and started looking at some stuff and it freaked me out because everything in my life reduces to the number 9.

For example, if you add up all the numbers in my birthdate, they reduce to 9. If you take my name and use a numerology alphabet to number chart and add up all the numbers they reduce to 9. My Tarot card is 9. All major events in my life happen on years that end with 9's, like I moved from Poland to Canada when I was 9, I met my wife when I was 19, I got married when I was 29, etc.

All multiples of nine follow me around. This is the first time I've heard of 18 being referred to as one-infinity, but it doesn't surprise me as it reduces to a 9. Oh yeah, I also picked my nickname randomly as "impaul99" long before I ever found out that "9" is my number. I have like 72+ other instances where the number 9 appears in my life.

If it means anything, I dont' know, but it's kinda freaky. :)
