Sharing some gratitude

I felt the need to share a bit of gratitude.

As of late I have been for lack of a better term "stuck". Nothing horribly bad, just nothing was flowing or expanding in any areas of my life as I'd like or as they have in the last year or so.

So a week and a half ago I get an email from "The Secret" to visit their site and read their inspirational secret stories. I had some time to kill and so I did. I read a note from a lady who wrote out their "check from the universe" and made it here desktop wallpaper so she could keep it in mind. Needless to say she received the amount that she wrote the check out for the day after she dated it for.

Not sure why but I said I could do that as well. I downloaded the check thought about an amount that I could picture in my head without feeling resistance and made it my browser home page. I dated it 6 weeks in the future. I have kept in mind that I accept this amount or even more, that it was mine.

Today I found out that I rated high enough for a bonus at work. The bonus is 40 dollars more than the amount I wrote the check for. Additionally, I received a raise.

I've always been a bit leary of the secret. That aside I can't avoid the fact that I am grateful for the email, the nudge, and the cash. A small step or a large step depending upon how you loook at it but a refreshing step either way.

I thought I would share that while I was thinking about being thankful for getting what one desires.
