Default How IM has changed my life

I think in this thread, we should all share how IM has changed our lives. I know there's a thread similar to this, but I think rather than posting one or two things that IM brought us (which could be dismissed as chance), we should write about the overall improvement.

I'll start with my story. I began actively using IM since the fall of 2007.
The fall of 2007 was when I first started going to college.
I was extremely acne-ridden. I've had problems with acne since I was 12, but at the time it was the worst it had ever been. I was living in a dorm complex amongst people I didn't like. I had gained a lot of weight my senior year of high school, and was in the worst shape of my life. Simply walking around campus the first week made my legs and feet ache so bad I walked with a limp for several days.

I decided I needed to improve my life. I began by intending to become slimmer and to have clear skin. I am now 30 lbs slimmer, and much more healthy and fit. I've been overweight and then obese since I was 7, so actually losing fat rather than gaining is amazing. My skin is much more clear, and the red marks left from the acne are beginning to fade (slowly but surely..).

Just a couple weeks ago, I decided I would finally move out of the crappy dorm I was in. Within 2 days of turning in my application, I got the move. It would have taken longer, but external circumstances made it so that I ended up meeting the lady who did room transfers, and personally asking her to move me. I moved to the exact building and hall I wanted. In my intentions, I imagined that I'd be friends with the people in my new hall. About an hour ago, I just had dinner with two girls from my hall.

My life is definitely better than it was. I still have such a long ways to go though, and the last few days I've just been feeling discouraged. Despite all these "evidences" in my own life, I still question whether IM works. These last few days I was thinking of completely giving up on IM and leading a "normal" life. But then... something weird happened.

You see, there is this girl around campus who I've always found really attractive. Before moving to this room, I imagined being in my new room with this girl. I didn't actually think it would happen, you know? I just sort of briefly visualized it and then dismissed it. Just a few minutes ago however, my roommate walked into the room with her....

So. What are the chances? Especially on a campus with 20,000 undergrads.
I'm definitely sticking with IM, and am going to start being more serious with it (actually meditating and such).

Now, share your story!

Acting Like Godot will become famous soon enough
Default

Heheh. Hahaaa. HAHAHAHAaaAHaaa!

IM has changed my life in so many ways that it would take me way too long to mention all of them. Those who really want to know can read my blogs. Here they are, in reverse chronological order (the first in the list is the most recent):

A Little Magic Everyday (Jan 2008 to current)
Creation & Other Adventures (August 2007 to Jan 2008)
Acting Like Godot (May 2007 to August 2007)
Acting Like Godot (Sep 2006 to May 2007)

In my latest manifestation (a few days ago), I have basically manifested almost a quarter of a million dollars in one lump sum, more or less out of thin air:

Who is John Ruskin?

Here is a (not very up-to-date or complete) list of my other successful manifestations between October 2006 and December 2007.

And the best part is .......

... I am just getting started.

I manifested a better relationship with food.

For all of my life, I have been an emotional eater. One day, during a IM session, I intended to treat food in a normal manner (i.e. eat only when I'm hungry, make better choices).

Well, that was 10 days ago, and I have lost 12 pounds. And it was effortless. I only think about food when I am hungry, not when I'm sad, bored, etc. I don't even have cravings during "that time" of month (sorry if it's TMI).

One thing that may have something to do with this is that I am in a better mood overall (another IM manifestation), so I have less of a reason to medicate myself with food.
