Default Manifesting something OUT of your life

I would like to sell my house. But I worry that by focusing on an intention on my house, I am inadvertantly keeping it in my life, by thinking about the house.

What will you have when you sell your house? Freedom? A new home? Lots of money in the bank? Focus on what you want, rather than what you don't want.

Also: focus on the delighted, shiny face of your buyer as she signs the closing papers on her wonderful new home. It's her home now. She just hasn't paid you for it or moved in yet. Focus on the perfect buyer, and her joy.

Yes - that's how I'd do it, if you manifest "the house is gone" you might end up with a foreclosure!

Columnist Dan Savage talked about a manifestation he and his partner did in his book "The Kid". This was very similar to what you're talking about - imagining the other person's happiness at your offered thing being perfect for them, etc. He and his partner adopted a child through open adoption, but they were a gay couple and most birth parents wanted to adopt to the stereotypical heterosexual Christian family.

Savage and his partner actually imagined the kind of mother they wanted for their child, in very vivid detail, and that they were the perfect parents to raise this specific mother's child, and very soon after (within days) they got the call that there was a baby available.

Focus on the perfect buyer, not the house.

Hi Starkey, sorry for not responding earlier to your PM. I think Angela has given great advice.

Hi Starkey
I did essentially what Angela suggested when we sold our house last year. I set the intention that the perfect buyer would be attracted to our home and that it would sell quickly and easily very close to our asking price. It sold within a week, to a couple who were very similar to my husband and I (just 10 years older), so similar in taste to us that they ended up buying some of our furniture that we weren't taking with us, and they paid a fraction under the asking price. It was a very friendly yet professional transaction, and we felt very happy handing over our home (which had been very special to us) to people who we knew would love it as much as we did.

Great thread! We're selling our house and buying a new one as well. I'm tired of living out of a suitcase. We're getting the house ready to sell, so a lot of furniture and things are in storage. I've been telling myself the house will sell quickly and the transition to my new home will be easy. I'm also looking at houses now to get an idea of what I want. When I decide what I do want, I will visualize THE home.

Thanks for the advice. I imagine a divorced professional woman with a young daughter. They are looking for place that is affordable and located close to her office. She has blond hair and drives a black SUV. Her daughter is 9 with curly brown hair. They are looking for a place to call home.

Again, thanks for the advice everyone.

Congratulations, Starkey! What do you have now, as a quality or condition (aside from the moolah, of course!)?

Sure, start manifesting the house you want instead.

This is how I manifested breakups... started thinking about the person I'd rather be with.

Oops, just saw that you sold it... congrats!

I have freedom to move on to bigger and better things, as well as more confidence in myself to handle big purchases and big decisions.

A lot of people told me not to move, not to sell, it's a bad time in the market. But it was the right time for me. So I put myself out there and things worked out great!
