Hi all - wondering if you wanted to talk about your experience with doing Abraham-Hicks processes? Anything interesting or noteworthy happen, any "aha" moments? I love the "Rampage of Appreciation" and it helped me get off of antidepressants. |

I also love the Rampage of Appreciation ... I do it about three times a day. I am always surprised by how many things I appreciate in my life. It makes me feel so good! I have been practicing Segment Intending and I am having very good luck with that. The next thing I would like to try is Scripting. I've read some posts online in which people have said how well it works. I am a bit hesitant, though. I think by writing scenarios down, I will always be on the lookout for them to happen exactly as written and I will end up putting out a lot of resistance and trip myself up. That might not work too well for me. Pivoting and Which Thought Feels Better have both been extremely helpful. I tend to be rather negative and I've noticed a big improvement in my thoughts and my mood since practicing these. I would also like to try the Magical Creation Box ... just because it sounds like a lot of fun! |

I like Rampaging as well. Other favorites - Magical Creation Box - it's really easy for me to drop any attachment to the outcome once I place a symbol into the box. I just drop my picture, or whatever represents the experience I desire to manifest, into the box and forget about it. Evaluating Dreams - has long been an interest. To evaluate dreams as indicators of what I'm manifesting in my life is intriguing and a handy tool. The Prosperity Game - I learned I'm not really prepared to be hugely prosperous because it was really hard figuring out how to spend all that money! Scripting appeals to me, too, aabbcc, but I haven't done it yet. I think it would be fun, and how easy to just write a story of what I want. I think for me the key to eliminating resistance would be to treat it like the box. Just write it, enjoy it, then put it away and *forget* about it. My favorite process and the one that is most effective in re-framing my thoughts is "Wouldn't it be nice if..."

The Book of Positive Aspects is another fave. I find it very helpful with people. I keep forgetting to use Segement Intending. Quote:

Thank you for your question and this thread. I've used almost all the processes with great success and great FUN in the past. I've been quite lax about them recently and have created a little rough patch for myself. Thank you for reminding me about these very helpful tools. Enjoy them! Quote:
I understand what you mean about Scripting. If I may offer a suggestion: The way I can get it to work for me is by pretending to talk to a friend, catching up (over coffee or whatever). You know, "how are things with the new job?", "what's new with you and So-&-So?", etc. This puts me in the space that the intention has already been manifested. Also my friend asks "Why?" a lot which takes me away from the How's and puts me into the feeling of the experience. This is one of the exercises I don't write down so each time the script is new for me. Oh, and since I try not to bore my friends with the same story over and over again, these chats grow over time, just like those fun stories from your new home/job/love/etc. Hope this helps and have fun! |

Wellbeing - thank you for this suggestion about Scripting! I also have enjoyed using the A-H processes, but have forgotten about them for a time. I also have some programs like Learning Strategies Abundance for Life, that require me to think about my goals and to become clear with what I am intending. I tend to choke on these. Using Scripting as you've suggested will help take the pressure off a bit to have fun with the process.

The book is "Ask and It Is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The processes are in the book, and they're also in the "Part II: The Processes" of the audio program. Amazon.com: ask and it is given |

I actually got introduced to scripting, segment intending etc by a book called "Excuse me, your life is waiting" by Lynn Grabhorn. It is simply an amazing book and she goes through her life showing you how exactly she used these processes to achieve success. After that I found the book "Ask and It is given" by Esther Hicks and it just furthered my understanding of the whole thing. I have used scripting to great success in many different areas of my life such as getting the exact job that I wanted with, location of my work, exact pay (down to the cents), starting date, people I work with; getting bargains for the things that I need to buy and so on. I use segment intending daily for simplest things such as: -getting to and back from work safely and successfully -getting a seat in the subway train when it's quite full -smooth traffic flow -having the train stop with its door right in front of me so I get in there before majority of the people -getting a convenient parking wherever I go -getting a good seat in the theatre even though it's full house -getting good, fast, and pleasant service from people -when eating out, intending the food is nutritous, fresh etc And I have had over 95% success rate overall with my intentions. That's all I can think of right now but as you can see intention/manfestation works in every area of your life, small or large. :-) |

Wow! I've got to try scripting it seems. I've been working positive aspects, appreciation, and especially working my way up the emotional scale! I've got lots of scales -- make new ones for any situations/conditions I want to change. They work amazingly well too, for stabilizing moods and also sometimes for making things happen! Also: "What thought fels better?" I work a lot with their workshop CDs and have created a playlist for my iPod where I sort the selections by themes, i.e., Money, Health, Relationships, etc. And then I listen to all the money tapes, etc. one after the other. I feel so much calmer afterwards. And yes, Ask and It Is Given is my favorite, plus, for the "working yourself up the emotional scale" I really like the Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent because it provides a number of really specific examples, which models really well how it all works. |

I've had the biggest problem wrappign my mind around Segment Intending... could anyone explain this to me? Has anyone done the Prosperity Game? Found something interesting that happened... find myself putting off "purchases" in the game because I know in a few days I'll have enough money to get something better (IE knowing that next week I can buy a new car in the game, so don't bother buying a used one right now) |

Right before you start doing X, you set the intention that you want X to happen in a particular way (your desired outcome). For example, right before you go to sleep, you could set the intention that you will have a good night's sleep. Right before your department meeting, you could set the intention that it will be a smooth, useful, productive meeting. Right before you play a game of tennis, you could set the intention that you will have an enjoyable time playing tennis. And so on. This will also prepave the future. In other words, the intention will not merely positively affect the specific occasion right before you, but also future similar occasions. So over time, you will find that you sleep well; your meetings tend to be smooth, useful and productive; and playing tennis is really fun. |

Thanks, Acting Like Godot. That was really helpful. Great specific examples. I've had trouble with that one too, and this makes so much sense! And I also hadn't realized that it would have some sort of cumulative longterm effect re things going better. That makes the effort really worth it. I"m going to give it a try! Elisabeth |
