Default Visualizing/ Intending while listening to music

I have been doing this for some time now and it gets me into the vibrational frequency faster. I usually listen to trance or house music while visualizing and I get into the place of having whatever it is that I want very fast, otherwise it would take longer to create the same feeling. I normally don't even close my eyes... I am just sort of running it through my mind and imagining things with my eyes open, if that makes sense.

Does anybody else use music to help them visualize/intend? Do you think it impedes the manifestation process somehow?

I used to use music during my meditation sessions. Lately I haven't had much time for a full meditation session though, so I just meditate while slowing down before I fall asleep, and I 'visualize' a tune.

I think it's because music usually carries an emotion/vibration, and when we listen to music we tune into this emotion/vibration. When I listen to beautiful peaceful music featuring a piano, a violin and some other beautiful instruments, usually visualizing that what I want comes to me sooner and easier.

I don't think it impedes the manifestation process, not if it makes you happy. I see it as a sort of "kick-start" to help you tune into a higher vibration. It really depends on the person though, just like some people can't stand guided meditations while others find them very helpful.

I'm going to give this a try. I listen to lots of upbeat electronic/house stuff as well. Normally I write my intentions, takes about thirty minutes. Usually in silence but I'll give it a shot, I'll listen to Morgan Page, one of my favorite house dudes.

This happened to me when I used Dr. Jefferey Thompson's Gamma Meditation CDs. Hmmm...perhaps it's time to dig them out again!

Visualization is even more productive and powerful when done to music! I've ALWAYS used music with my LifeVision technique... Why?

Well...first of all, music stimulates and awakens the body. It increases blood and oxygen flow to the brain and revives you if you're tired. Music also inspires emotion.

As reported in Ostrander and Schrader’s Super Learning, research discovered that the ideal state for learning is when the brain is in a relaxed, but aware state. And when they say relaxed, they do not mean asleep, but relaxed, focused and aware. It is at this point the brainwaves run at about 8 to 12 cycles per seconds or hertz. This is called the alpha state. Alpha is simply a state when you are calm and relaxed, in a way similar to when you whistle a happy tune, or when you daydream. Getting into the Alpha State can be achieved in a number of ways and most of us achieve it several times during most days. At this time the mind is clear, receptive to information, and rapidly making 'connections', realizations and joining up deep thoughts. Many an 'AHA!' moment comes when an individual is in “Alpha”.

Unfortunately, all music doesn't put you in Alpha...only "super learning or Baroque music). And that's a bummer because I'd rather be listening to my favorite music to my Lifevision than classical...however, Super learning music (or Baroque Music) is what speaks to your unconscious as well as your conscious mind, creating a bridge of awareness which allows you to begin tapping into your unused capabilities. It gives you ways to insure that your powerhouse subliminal mind is going in the same direction you are. While the music plays, you are in the ideal state to do mental training. Music helps synchronize brain hemispheres & body rhythms to more efficient patterns.

YMMV. Music is definitely part of my schtick.

You should try an experiment with the kind of music you listen to while doing it and see if it makes a difference. It sure did for me.

Hey Annie,
Thanks for sharing! I have to get some Baroque music. I like just about every genre of music under the sun, so now I need to be selective of what I listen to. I like trip hop, because they usually sing about "the good life". I also like dance, electonica and trance because it gets my energy flowing.
