Default Manifesting my dream car.

Hi guys,

I've been away for a few weeks so Happy New Year everyone!

I wanted to share with you an experience I had before Christmas which may be of interest to those of you still experimenting with LOA etc.

I drove to Devon before Christmas and planned to stay for a weekend but whilst there I developed a tooth abcess which quickly became so painful that I was unable to drive back. I decided to stay on an extra day to feel better and ended up feeling worse and worse with each day. I was taking massive amounts of painkillers and the combination of pain, drugs and not sleeping at all meant that I stayed for 10 days, unable to drive back.

In my fogged state I did almost nothing except read and I read several books including books by Ekhart Tolle, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Deepak Chopra, and several others.

I spent a lot of time with a notepad just writing down all my thoughts on LOA, Subjective Reality and related topics.

In my few moments of sleeping I had hallucinatory dreams that objects were swirling and vibrating and the objects of my hotel room were speaking to me!! All very disturbing!

Anyway, I decided to do an experiment to manifest my dream car (at the moment it's a Mercedes CLS Coupe' AMG) and strongly intended to manifest that into my life.

I went to bed confident that the next day I would see this car at least once as a sign that the message had been received.

Next day - nothing. I walked around looking at cars everywhere and nada!

That night after reading a bit more it occurred to me that I probably had some 'resistence' or 'blocks' so i stated a simple affirmation to reveal to me where I held resistence.

I fell asleep and woke up in the night with a cramp in my finger-tips of my right hand..this is not something I'd ever experienced before..I massaged my fingers to ease the pain and was suddenly besieged with lots of negative images, fears, anxieties, about my self, my friends, my family, the world, etc..

As I massaged my fingers I had the impulse to say out loud: "I release these thoughts..I let them go..they're no longer needed.."etc ,basically anything I could think of.

I think I realized that this was the answer to the intention I'd set before going to sleep.

As I did this the cramp pain moved from my fingers to my palm, then my forearm, biceps, shoulders and neck and finally the back of my head. All the while accompanied with lots of fears, guilt, shame, worry,..going back to being a small kid at junior school...things I'd forgotten about consciously.

I kept repeating my words of "letting go" and after a while the images and the pain subsided and disappeared simultaneously!

I then fell into the best sleep I'd had in days and awoke feeling great.

I went for a walk into the town centre the next day and saw 5 (!!!) Mercedes CLS Coupe's - The exact car I want - all in beautiful black!! (In the space of about 2 hours)

Now this is not a commonly seen car and since this experience I've only seen one of them.

I'm choosing to take that as a sign that my model is on its way! I'll let you know when it's really mine.

Wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar?

Sounds like a trip on consciousness expanding substances to me ^_^ (some call them 'drugs')

Default another synchronicity..car getting closer?

Hi, thanks for your replies.

I was definitely in a druggish state when I experienced what I did. I don't take drugs or drink alcohol so the painkillers and lack of sleep did have a strange effect + lots of focused thinking on subjective reality.

It did feel like 'a wink from the Universe'.

I forgot to add that I had a lucid dream where I was talking to Einstein and he carefully explained to me that all time and all matter was here in this place and moment - that there was no distance between any object and no distance between any time. I didn't understand it fully but in my dream it seemed to make sense.

I was trying to decide this morning whether to continue with this struggle with IM and SR or to return to a more Objective reality, governed by cause and effect and (seemingly) random happenings. I said to myself "OK, just decide one way or another - now." and at that precise moment the post came and startled me. I walked to the door and saw it was a free newspaper, face down, with a full page ad for a mercedes dealership. I thought to myself; "OK, I suppose it's a sign, but it's not much of one!" I turned the paper to the front and there was a full page ad for Mercedes with a photo of my dream car!! With the price of only £499.99 per month

I've been trying to post the photo but haven't been successful yet.

The problem is that although the initial surprise is amazing - it is very quickly replaced by the usual cynical, rational explanations. It's something I'm working on.

I really believe that if my beliefs could be changed, then the whole process would be a lot easier and quicker.

If any one knows of really good techniques for erasing and installing beliefs then I'd be grateful to know them. (I've read all the Steve Pavlina postings and also Anthony Robbins' ideas on deconstructing beliefs and changing values etc.)

I'll keep you updated. I seem to be having moderate success with IM but it's very hit and miss so far. I mean I successfully manifested agonising tooth ache. Why??? And let me tell you - to try to feel good and imagine a pain-free mouth when your whole jaw is throbbing is simply not possible (for me).

anyway, good luck to you all, I think we're on the brink of something very exciting here.

Beliefs are a tricky thing. There are indeed supposed to be a whole bunch of things to help, like NLP, or paraliminals, etc, but I hvaen't found them to be particularly useful unless you know exactly what your beliefs are. However, I've found that just by realizing what my particular resistance is, it somehow dissolves, as if conscious light is all it needs.

I've also heard the theory that all limiting beliefs have some sort of ego advantage, so they are either desires for approval, safety or osmin else I can't remember.

As an example, the cynicism you're talking about? I discovered that my biggest block to that cynicism was that I labelled myself as a "scientific" no-nonsense kind of guy, and wanted other people to see me as such. MOst of all, I did not want other people to judge me as being unscientific (and thus, in my mind, irrational and perhaps stupid).

Recently I've also discovered I believe solving puzzles solves problems, but not in all cases. A good intellectual puzzle is fun but it does not necessarily matter or solve a problem.

Thanks for the help RTW, I followed the links and they're a big help.

I've kinda come to the conclusion that beliefs are the real sticking point.

To illustrate my point: I find a lot of money lying in the street. I don't mean pennies but £200 , £75, £20 notes etc. In one week alone a few years back I found £40 on the high street, £200 in a bundle in a patch of mud in the middle of nowhere, a £5 note in a frozen puddle in a side street.

When I first read Anthony Robbins I 'realized' that this was my 'recticular activating system' ie my subconscious mind notices money that other people walk past, and sometimes on some level I must know where money is even when it's outside the range of my eyesight.. freaky, but so far so good..at least there's a sort of scientific explanation.

Then when I read The Secret I started thinking that it was to do with that....except I don't actually ever think about finding money..I just find it!

Eventually I've come to the conclusion that it is about core (unquestioned) beliefs.. In other words it's a part of my identity. If people ever talk about finding money I just simply say : "Oh yeah, I find money all the time" and because lots of my friends have witnessed me do that, it's reinforced my identity as someone who finds money easily.

I think the biggest obstacle is that one of the most unquestioned beliefs people hold is one they have assumed since they were old enough to think about such things: ie, "I am born into the world and there is Me, and everything else is Not Me. Cause and Effect makes the world go round, but although there may be a cause for everything it's so complex that many things seem random. Therefore things may happen to me that I can't predict, therefore I need to be as prepared as possible for anything (Fear based) and don't take un-necessary risks." etc...

It's like the old film images of a person walking through a desert..."water, water..water.." It obsorbs his thoughts totally. (And I think also that instinctively we feel we can manifest something if we really want it enough. Same as unreligious people will pray when in dire distress and need. It's an instinct!) But is he thinking about water, or the lack of water? Is he manifesting the experience of dying of thirst? Will his beliefs be the thing that makes the difference?

I intend to try some of the techniques taken from those links specifically affirmations and to try to adopt my new beliefs as part of my identity.

I liked what you said about bringing disempowering beliefs to light. I think that's true. It's just that I clearly have some incongruencies in my identity and I really can't see what they are.

I was toying with the idea of an over-riding core belief which would obviate the need to keep delving into my childhood to discover where these limiting beliefs come from. Something along the lines of : "I'm aware of some limiting beliefs which I've picked up along the way but I can let them go without formally identifying them"

Thanks for everyones helpful comments and advice.

Hi Dreamlife Hero,
I´ve just been looking at those links too, very interesting. Steve makes it sould so easy though.
One believe I have had since childhood is that I´m a failure and I can´t seem to shift this belief. Every so often it comes back to bite me.
We moved to Spain for a new life and to be honest thing arn´t going well, it looks like we could lose our house, our business is bearly making us a living and everyone just seems to need money off us.
I don´t know if this is because of my belief or just reinforces my belief but its one I would love to change or get rid of.
A bit of success for a change would make all the difference!
I wish I could find some money in the street

Hi Nigel,

That is definitely a belief that you need to ditch!

Even though I don't know you I know you're Not a loser.

Consider this: you've moved to a foreign country - that takes courage.

Also; you've found your way to this blog-site which is dedicated to Personal Development. No matter at what stage of that you're at you're on the upward path..you've decided to improve your life...therefore you cannot be a loser!

I think examining your core beliefs is a good place to start. I would recommend a good book by T. Harv Eker entitled 'Secrets of the Millionaire Mind..Think Rich to Get Rich'. It's full of practical ideas about how to change your money 'blueprint' as Harv describes it. I find his tone a little blunt but it's a book about getting rich and is very effective I think. I doubled my income in less than a year after reading it!

Re. finding money: when you find any money, no matter how small, say aloud: "I am a money magnet!! Thank you Universe" and you'll start finding money often. (That's another Harv tip).

Best of luck with everything and never give up hope! You can always turn things around for the best.

Hi again Dreamlife Hero,
Thanks for that encouragement, the strange thing is I kind of already know all that but just can´t help this little voice in the back of my head telling me "Everything you try goes wrong."
But, you´re right, I´ve realised that for years I have been a negative thinkers so at least I am trying to put this right by looking at blogs like this.
I must admit I find Steve talks a lot of sense and I´ve found a lot of comfort from reading his articles over the last couple of months.

Dreamlife Hero... can I call you 'the Mercedes-guy' from now on? :P

Sounds familiar. Like, time and space do not really exist, or, time and space only exist in our head. I think a lot is written about that subject... have you never encountered any literature on this topic?

Your story regarding the Mercedes sounds good so far, I'd definitely keep on attracting it. Visualize, draw, photoshop, write or sing about it! It's worth the experiment... I'm looking forward to that picture of you standing beside your Mercedes CLS Coupe!

By the way, you just gave me an idea. I think I'll try finding money on the street someday soon using the law of attraction... it would be a cool little experiment!

Hi Dreamlife Hero!

What a great car that is! I was recently very busy very seriously manifesting a Jeep Wrangler even though I didn't have the money for it. I wrote to and bargained with private owners, car dealers and even car rental agencies, but I just couldn't bear the wait and bought a horrible Fiat Punto that actually broke down on the middle of the highway today.

I think there's a lesson we both can learn here: don't be seduced by other cars. Just imagine feeling your hands on that power steering wheel, enjoying the heated seats and Steve Pavlina talking through the sound system. And of course people moving off the fast lane to let you pass (that's what I experienced when I rented a Mercedes once)...!

I too am looking forward to that photo of you beside your Mercedes CLS Coupe AMG! How will you celebrate the arrival of your new car? What will your neighbours think? How will you explain this to your boss?

(These are all tools to make you think about its manifestation even more, in case you hadn't noticed )

Happy driving!
