 Manifesting a job.
Was out shopping with the kids yesterday and noticed one of my favourite stores, I knew I wouldn't be able to go into it as we were in a hurry. I've been wanting to get a job and when I noticed the store I thought to myself that it would be a great place to get a job at, if only they had a vacancy. Glanced at the window and noticed a position vacant sign for an Assistant Manager, had to apply online.
Last night I made the application and mentioned in my covering letter about the start date - 2 days ago and that I was hoping the job was still available seeing as the sign and ad were still up.
This morning I get a phone call from a the company, they like to do a phone interview before making the decision to do a face to face one. I have never had such a quick response to any application in my life, mostly they don't bother calling. I made sure I thanked her for calling back so soon, thought it very professional. She remarked on my comment about the closing date and said it was incorrect, that she was glad I brought it up. I now have to wait to see if I am accepted for interview, really have a good feeling about this one.
