Default Better than The Secret: The Creation Spiral

I read a book which has a more detailed theory about the the Law of Attraction, without the implausible hyped up non-sense that surrounds The Secret in the US.

The book with the transated title "The Creation Spiral" by Marinus Knoope, was only published in my country, The Netherlands, because he was not interested into publishing it abroad. This is the Dutch site creatiespiraal.nl

A friend of his told me that the writer believed that the theory was to complicated to be easily made popular in most places. Or maybe he just didn't bother, who knows. I told her that I would ask the writer to publish it internationally, but I never did. Instead I will share a summary with the enlightened people on this forum If it has any merit, it will spread.

The Creation Spiral states that we are destined to realize our wishes, just like a apple seed is destined to become an apple tree. The new thing is that the proces of manifesting an intention is identical to the growth of a tree from a seed. There are twelve steps, which you can visualize as the numbers on a clock. You can also compare it to fruit that grows throughout the seasons.

Winter

1. Wishing
2. Imagining
3. Believing

Spring

4. Sharing
5. Researching
6. Planning

Summer

7. Deciding
8. Acting
9. Persevering

Fall

10. Receiving
11. Appreciating
12. Resting

There is more to it, but the main thing we can see is that you can never skip any of the steps (excluding synchronicity), just like an apple can not skip any step in its growth process.

His criticism of The Secret is that it is oversimplified and makes many people belief that action is not required. Off course Steve and many of us understand the Law of Attraction better than that, but it is sold to the mass market in a superficial way.

The Creation spiral helps me organize all the aspects of an intention in order. Like The Secret, it recognizes that you can achieve more than you think. And it also recognizes that there is more to manifesting intentions (reaching goals) than planning and action.

Try it, and share your results!

This is VERY interesting, Kingston - although I am German, I don't read Dutch well enough to understand what I see on the website.

Has the book ever been translated into German?

I'm not sure, but I don't think it is translated in any other language. But that is not so much of a problem, because the juice is the steps I outlined above. You can get more detials on the steps here, De Creatiespiraal | creatiespiraal.nl, which you can transate indirectly into German with Bable Fish: AltaVista - Babel Fish Translation. You can't go from Dutch to German, but go from Dutch to English, and then English to German or something. It should be good enough to get an idea of the steps in more detail.

Enjoy!

This sounds similar to the scientific method:
Winter = identifying the intention
Spring = Researching and then forming a hypothesis
Summer = Acting or experimenting
Fall = Appreciating or evaluating the results

Thanks Kingston - you're right, the most important things you seem to have outlined here. Makes a lot of sense, this cycle.

If Marinus Knoope ever wants the book translated, I'd like to be part of it - but I only speak German and English (equally well).

Hi Kingston,

I'm also a friend of Marinus and I spoke with him a few minuts ago by telephone about what you've written here.

He certainly is interested in an English version of The Creation Spiral! He would like to talk with you about it but he doesn't know how to reach you. Maybe it's possible that you make a phone call to him? You'll find his number on his website.

With kind regards,
Ageeth Veenemans

Hi BlueCrane,

Marinus Knoope would like to translate the book in English. Maybe you should contact with him? He would appreciate it!

There already is a German version: Die Kreationsspirale.
