Default Technical Aspects of Successful Visualization

I want to ask some questions about the specific how-to of visualization.

A) How quiet does your environment have to be? Is absolute quiet necessary or not? For example, if somebody is mowing their lawn a few houses down and you can hear it even with your windows shut should you still try to visualize? (This has been driving me nuts because I just can't seem to find any quiet time in which I can visualize)

B) To get comfortable what sort of position works best? Should you lie down or sit or what?

C) What are some ways you can still your mind before visualizing? I try to take time out to calm down but I keep wandering off in my thoughts into a daydream.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Basically the noise factor depends on how well you can stay focused on your visualization while that noise is going on. If you get distracted easilly, then it might be best that you find a very quiet room so slight noises won't disrupt your session. Some people can block out all other noises, and I'm sure you'll be able to get to that point eventually if you try!

I have the centerpoint Holosync cd, and I do my visualization while listening to that. I really helps a lot to concentrate. While listening to the dive, thats the cd that brings you to a deeper state of mind, I do my visualizations. Then the next 30 minutes I just chill down and be quit.

When you are just starting out, the noise level has to be extremely low or it will serve as a major distraction. I usually concentrate on my breathing for a few minutes to remove the thoughts from my mind. If I do it laying down, especially at night, I will fall asleep. Sitting an a comfortable position is the most recommended.

Stop concerning yourself with finding "the perfect method". Almost everyone who is working on LOA is falling into the big fat trap of seeing visualization as a creation tool. IT IS NOT A CREATION TOOL!

It is merely a tool for you to get into a certain "vibration". Visualization IS NOT creating, but you are!
You can also do this with watching a movie, listening music, talking out loud, etc etc. The ways are infinite, and visualization is merely one of the possibilities. People like to cling to visualization because it is a detailed exercise and accessible for everyone. But it doesn't have to be the best way for someone to get into a vibration.

I often get more in the desired vibration by just listening to an amazing piece of music, or watch a good movie. Sometimes it's a chat I have with someone that triggers a response, sometimes it's something I read.

So about your visualization problems. Find your own way of visualizing. If you like having some piece of music on while visualizing, do it. If you like watching a movie while doing some visiualization, that's fine. You know your visualization is successful is when you feel good, when you know you got what you want. When you feel like you want to feel.

You can have a 1 second visualization and have the feeling running through you for a whole day, maybe even a week, maybe more. That's a lot more powerful than forcefully try to visualize for 10 minutes or so!

Succesful use of LOA = 99% allowing, so be easy on yourself while using certain techniques. Just let it flow and see what it brings you!

I believe that "You are creating" when visualizing. (had to say that).

Yes! noise can be overcome by overcoming it with headphones/earplugs.

I prefer "pan flute" for meditations over hemi-sync type stuff.

Sit unless you want to fall asleep.
Drink coffee first.

lucid dreaming is possible if you are tired enough. Focus on something and the dream will come alive. (awesome).

I also repeat affirmations in addition to visualization.

I also go to "AT@T / Robot voice" website and save a robotic voice version of my affirmations. I convert the wav file to mp3 and keep them on my ipod for drives in the country or while i sleep.

Prayer is the same as "asking for"

good-luck. Remember to feel good and thankful during your visualizations.
Even happy dancing can be a meditation. Tribes did it?
