I've been lurking on this part of the boards for a while now and though I don't agree with everything here, I don't believe it's all bogus either. I'm just curious... a few years ago, I was out shopping and suddenly, I had the urge to go home and I knew it had something to do with my mother. I followed my intuition and when I arrived home, I saw my mother standing in front of our door, very happy to see me. She had forgotten her keys and the neighbours who keep a spare, weren't home. Since it would take at least five more hours for my dad to come home from work and let her in, she had been hoping I would come back early. Did she manifest me, or did I just sense she was in trouble?

I'd be careful putting too much stock in this. I mean, it's good that mum wasn't stuck outside without her keys, certainly, but was it some sort of intuitive spark?

Maybe. Maybe not. Hard to say.

It's an interesting experience, and I've personally had other experiences where my intuition (or whatever one wishes to call it) has been accurate. But I've also had many, many experiences when my intuition has been dead freakin' wrong. I've never really tracked it, though, so I can't say from my own personal experience whether it's right more often than it's wrong, or whether just random chance would account for it.

Because we silly humans tend to look for patterns which support our own biases - that's just a function of who and what we are as sentient beings - we may perceive meanings to things that really don't have a meaning. And when something runs counter to our biases, we may not incorporate those experiences because they don't match our expectations.

So, with all that as background, is what you experienced some sort of manifestation by your mother for your sudden appearance?

I have absolutely no idea, nor do I think anybody can really know 100% for certain. But one thing is clear: be thankful for it!

Maybe, maybe not. I do believe that if the universe has the ability to line up opportunities for me to fall into them, then I can also be lined up for opportunities to fall into for other people. Ie, if I am looking for someone, then she is also looking for someone, and I happen to be a "someone" for her.

And I've also had expeirences where intuition was right and was wrong, but I dunno if maybe it was an act of creation or really an intuitive knowing. This is one area I hope to spend more time experimenting in understand better.

I have had several similar experiences which worked both ways , sometimes I'm the giver, sometimes I'm the receiver. If we are all connected at a quantum level then it would be reasonable to believe that we can communicate at that level also. I do believe we are more connected to the people we share common ideas with like family , close friends and lovers and usually we have more concern for their comfort and welfare than we do strangers. If you will just place your attention on the times these "coincidences" have occurred, you'll find there have been a lot of them.

It is definitely not manifesting. Manifesting is a process. Your OP does not have an indication of manifesting at all....

I believe "manifesting" is just an attempt to consciously control something that is continually happening in our lives, that's my opinion anyway, of course our lack of objective data makes everything about it an "opinion". Maybe it just a matter of semantics and I know what you mean by it being a "process" because we "do things" to make things happen, but I think we do it constantly, but unconsciously.
