I've noticed my resistance is strongest around that female time of the month. I know I should set an intention for this, but thought it would be interesting to hear if any of you experience the same and get some advice. It is actually a problem as I tend to do real damage during this hormonal period.

I am not sure on my answer but I guess you may need to provide additional info for your DHEA sulfate, FSH, LH and Prolactin with an indication of age and a cycle phase. I am not sure again but additional info is needed. Please do NOT feel bad and embarassed...

For what it's worth, I am at my most sensitive and pessimisstic during that "time of the month." I recently completed a saliva test to check hormone levels, and when I get the results will be implementing a nutritional plan that supports balanced hormones throughout the month. I have been reading about "estrogen dominance," which is becoming more prevalent in our society as more and more things we use and consume have hormones in them. My mom and grandmother both had classic symptoms of this, and I'm trying to really educate myself about it, in order to make my life (and health) that much better. [QUOTEIt is actually a problem as I tend to do real damage during this hormonal period. ][/QUOTE] oh yes!! deffently , My tolerance level drops 10 points, I tend to personalise a little to much during this time, I'm extremely sensitive to sounds ... my clarity of thought even gets foggy, I also tend to personalise a bit to much as well.... this is all with a proper diet too, can't imagine if i gave into the carbs and junk and fats |

ok but i ticked off 3 from group 2 and ticked off 4 from group 4 one says it is an estrogen defficiancy , the other is to much estrogen lol........ I think for me it is just perimenopus.... all kinds of fun stuff going on :-) Last edited by Old Soul; 12-11-2007 at 05:53 PM. |

The only thing I can see here that will help is to distance yourself from your body, hormones and thoughts. It's a scientific fact that hormones play havoc with your emotions and thoughts, and the menstrual period is the worst time for women in regards to them. A possible solution would be to draw yourself out of your thinking and make your choices during this time based on your values and ideals. This will keep you away from doing negative things when you aren't thinking like you normally do. I'm not sure how effective this would be though, any women that have done this? |

Thank you for your response. Sorry that you are also experiencing it. I'm yet to read the information on Dr. Lee's site and do the tests, but will. Good point about food, I might be missing something even though I eat healthy foods and rarely eat junk food, I'll look into it. I'm back on form again, but the days before are a real struggle. I read recently that PMS can become more severe after 35 yrs. It is kind of sad as I used to love that time of the month and rejoiced in being a woman. Umm.. Perhaps, my body, hormones are trying to tell me something. My intention is to rejoice in being a woman. |
