Default Dreaming and LOA

Since trying the 'count back from 50' sleep trip (impaul99's), I have had several nights where I have dreamt LOA. The last, two nights ago, felt like I dreamt about LOA the whole night long. When I woke up, I felt like I could move mountains. Has anyone else experienced this?

One of my dreams was about a musician who had a misfortune, the details are a bit fuzzy now, anyway the people in the dream were complaining about how life sucked and using her story (the misfortunate musician) to corfirm their life sucks theory. Suddenly, someone realised the music playing on the radio, in the background, was the unfortunate musician's. Then they all became excited, her misfortune had lead to her discovery. I was not in the dream, but an observer.

Your story about the musician reminds me a lot of Eva Cassidy, who never really achieved fame until after her death.

Would you mind posting a link to impaul's 'count back from 50' technique? I've tried searching but can't find the thread and would be interested to give it a go - dreaming LoA sounds like fun!

Love Eva Cassidy -
and here's Paul's post about counting back from 50. http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/i...tml#post115962.

dancer - I'm re-reading some Hicks lately and they say our dreams can serve as a preview of what we're currently creating in our lives. So it looks like you're creating *proof* of the LOA.

Pete, sorry for not posting a link, I haven't worked out how to do it yet. I hope you experience the LOA dreaming, it is really cool.

Lola, I'm sure there was a message for me, as I did ask my subconsious for advice. I read somewhere that the subconsious speaks to us in an abstract way. Perhaps I was getting proof, although I haven't been asking for proof. I suspect the message is about trust and it's also very possible that I have a lurking belief that life sucks. Oh no, another belief to work on...

btw, thanks for adding the link.

No problem dancer, thanks for the link Lola, I'll give it a go later, although I find it hard to stay awake even at the best of times

Pete
You can also do this sitting on the couch with your eyes closed in a quiet room. However, sometimes I fall asleep even sitting. There's been many nights where I've fallen asleep only to awaken at 4:30am sitting on the couch, journal on the ground, pen on the floor, lights on.

I would imagine a "hard chair" might work better trying not to fall asleep.

One thing I'd like to add though. I've played with this technique for the past 8 years or so. At some points I thought I was falling asleep, however in fact I wasn't. Meaning, I did connect to my subconscious mind and had a chat with it, but the next morning I didn't remember it because it was my subconscious I was talking to, not my conscious mind. It was only after I realized this as a possibility that I told myself "By the way, I want to remember having this conversation consciously tomorrow when I wake up so that I know this technique worked." and then I would remember it.

I have blah, blah brain/memory housekeeping dreams and then I have the rare "predictive" or "warning" or "message from beyond" dreams.

I actually had one last night. My symbolism is usually easy for me to figure out. They are vivid and realistic, epic in length and I remember them my whole life as opposed to the bland little ones that you forget by the second snooze.

In my dream last night, we were at my home, surrounded by ramdom friends and family members. We were in a tizzy because there was about to be an air raid (a bomb about to be dropped in my world). The planes came from the north. Which is where my family lives relative to me. Everyone was looking for hiding spots. I was apparently in charge of helping everyone find a safe spot (overwhelming responsibility) and some they chose were totally unacceptable (family and friends not using good judgement).

My sister who is obese chose a spot lying on the sofa under a huge picture window because she couldn't fit under a table. Not a good spot if bombs are going to be dropped. (laziness has led her to put herself in danger due to her size.) Her best friend was under a glass coffee table right up against her sofa. (Inseparable till the end) My dad was outside in the front of my house helping us decide what type of planes were coming because he is an expert in aviation. (Front of the house is 'wisdom'.) I just never remember him coming back in to find a hiding spot so he may actually be the one who is the cause of the "bomb" being dropped. Illness or some other issue.

One friend was arguing and beligerant over my suggestions and kept saying "But I am a mastectomy patient! I can't do that!" She doesn't have breast cancer that I know of. ( ) One young guy who ran out the door into the woods to find his dog was the boyfriend of someone in my house and he died, I just know he did, even though the bombs were never dropped in my dream. His name was Michael and we called for him over and over but he wouldn't stop looking for his dog. Not sure what he means. My mom wasn't in my dream because she is so smart and self-sufficient, I think. I didn't have a bad feeling about her absence.

My other sister was there with her two kids trying to hide under a tiny console table and her husband wasn't "there for her." That's interesting symbolism because they live in a miniscule apartment and her husband works by day and is in a couple of bands at night to make extra money. I had to move them to my laundry room with pillows to put over their heads. (keep them safe and comfortable) There was also a man and his two young sons that drove up and were lost and we had to help them too. They went in the powder room. (kindness to strangers despite crisis) My husband wasn't in the dream. But I didn't have a bad feeling about that. Oh and there was an unused porta potty between my kitchen and family room whatever that means and one of my friends from work was in there and wouldn't come out. (still not sure what that symbolizes) 'Michael' may have been her boyfriend. (Edit: crap, I just remembered her youngest son is named Michael!)

I am glad that the bombs never actually dropped in my dream. (The future is unformed) But I don't think that takes away from the predictive/warning aspect of the dream. Also, this is only the second dream I have had about my house that I have lived in for seven years, but I have had those two dreams more than once. Slightly varied.

I am most worried about my dad and my friend with the "mastectomy" and my obese sister. I'm just not sure what to do about them.

Jennifer

Wow, Jennifer, I've never tried analysing my dreams. I mostly just enjoy them, especially the great ones, which are often real adventures. My plate is kind of full at the moment, but I'll put analysing a dream on my list. I wish I could help with relieving your worry about you dad, friend and sister. All the best with that.
